Gloria Verde Resort

Beautiful hotel and grounds, with the swimming pool and beach area being particularly stunning. Majority of staff were friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were also tidied each day and kept clean. We have to particularly thank Fatma for the outstanding service and hospitality we received during our meals! She looked after all of us, remembered our favourite drinks, and was very kind to my 3 year old daughter who was often tired during the evening meals. Please give this lady a pay rise!

Areas for improvement would definitely be the Zodiac Bar service, as we often had to wait long periods to order drinks and had to wait 20+ mins for them to arrive.

We are staying in a Select Villa. They are a collection of ~20 semi-detached villas around a private pool, gardens, gym, restaurant and bar. It offers a much quieter, more relaxed atmosphere than the main hotel, which has suited us perfectly.One of the things we have enjoyed most is having the choice. We can stay in the peaceful Select area with its more personal service, or take the golf buggy over to the main hotel to use the beach, spa, restaurants and other facilities.

We have mostly chosen to stay in the Select area for the peace and quiet. A special mention to Dilaria at the Select bar. She has been consistently friendly, attentive and welcoming, making sure we always have drinks and snacks when we need them. She is a real asset.

The Select restaurant has a smaller breakfast and dinner offering than the main buffet, which is to be expected as an a la carte, but the lunch menu is excellent with plenty of choice. Ilkay who manages the restaurant has been very welcoming. She is thoughtful, caring and also accomodating of requests, including arranging for pastries and chocolates to be delivered in advance in readiness of meals.

Dilaria and Ilkay are a great team and make sure you feel very looked after.

Our villa has been kept very clean throughout our stay, with housekeeping doing an excellent job of restocking towels and toiletries.

The main buffet offers a good variety of food, particularly the grilled meats and fresh salads, although it can get very busy at peak times and finding an indoor table isn't always easy.

We also wanted to thank the reception team, especially Merve, who was incredibly kind and empathetic when I needed to see the nurse one evening. It made a stressful situation much easier, and having medical facilities on site is very reassuring.

As with most large resorts, the standard of English and customer service varies between staff, but overall we mostly found everyone to be friendly and helpful.

One thing worth noting if you have stayed here before is that returning guests told us the Select package now includes fewer benefits than in previous years, particularly regarding access to facilities at the other Gloria hotels. This wasn't an issue for us as first-time visitors, but it may be worth checking exactly what is included when booking, as expectations from previous stays may no longer match the current offering. Overall, if you're looking for a quieter holiday with the option of using the facilities of a larger resort then the Select Villas offer a really nice balance.
