- Gloria Verde Resort

Set just outside the popular resort town of Belek, Gloria Verde Resort is just a short stroll from Gloria Golf Club with its 45-hole golf courses, and guests can enjoy free shuttle services to and from the links. Rooms are comfortable and spacious with terrace or balcony, air conditioning and wireless internet access. Guests can enjoy healthy, low-calorie dining in the hotel's buffet or a la carte restaurants or a luxurious breakfast in bed with 24-hour room service. The hotel has a wonderful outdoor pool surrounded by carefully landscaped gardens as well as a games room, children's playground and fitness centre and spa. The area has been home to loggerhead sea turtles for thousands of years, and the hotel therefore takes special precautions so as not to disturb this special and endangered species. For golf enthusiasts as well as beach and nature lovers, this hotel offers the ideal retreat for a relaxing and fun-filled holiday.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
On the whole, I would say the Gloria Verde is an excellent resort, the staff are so friendly and everyone has a smile on their face. Check in is not as smooth as other resorts in the area, normally in a 5* hotel you would be seated with a glass of something cold and sparkly with chocolates or macaroons, unfortunately we weren't on this occasion. The pool areas are attractive, with plenty of sunbeds and parasols. Although the large pool is really cold, the pool on the upper level is heated and can be around 30 degrees or so. When you first get in it, it is a little like getting into a bath but you soon acclimatise. The slides are great fun and although we didn't use it, there is a really comprehensive kids club on site too. The beach is well maintained, again with plenty of beds and shade and there is a Pier that you can sunbathe on with direct access to the sea from a platform. There is a bar, which unfortunately shuts at 6pm on the dot, not even a second past (as do the other pool bars). We found that you have to ask for snacks of crisps and nuts at all bars, again it's my experience that a hotel of this calibre would bring them to you, or have them on the bar, and let you refuse them rather than to keep having to ask for them and so it lets itself down a bit with things like this. The only other gripe I've got (and I know they're all first world problems) is having to ask for an iron & board every day. I've never stayed in a 5* hotel before that doesn't either have one in the room already or just leaves it with you for the entirety of your stay. I don't go on holiday to stand and iron for an hour, I want to iron as I'm getting ready and so it was really annoying to have to ring and ask housekeeping to bring these every day. When I asked on reception, I was told they don't have enough to leave in the rooms! The entertainment in the Amphitheatre was very good,. The live bands in Neptune's were a bit samey, a DJ wouldn't have gone a miss but after enough Vino, there were a lot of people up dancing :) Now for the best reason to go to this hotel.... the food. We didn't even bother with the Ala Carte restaurants, the main buffet was so good! The choice in the restaurant was outstanding and the cooked to order food on the grill was second to none. As I said at the beginning, "on the whole" I rate this hotel as excellent because I don't want to put it as just "good" I get if people think I've been a bit picky with my gripes but there you go. If you go here, you will have a wonderful time, eat wonderful food and be entertained. Enjoy
We stayed the last week of august at the Gloria verde. We had a 3rd floor suite in outside complex with kids in lounge on sofa bed and pullout and us in other bedroom. I was initially nervous it would be a tight squeeze at 13 and 9 as we did not book the family suite but I need not of worried the suite space was huge. Loads of space in the lounge area, the bathroom on smaller side but everything you needed. The beds were the most comfy sleep too. Entrance area to put stuff. Lift in the outside complex too which was a bonus and quick.
The food was superb, we have stayed at many hotels in turkey and this is by far one of the best for its food. Particularly for lunch the verde pub (where they make pasta to order and pick your own meat to cook) and Neptune cafe (unreal seafood risotto) all included! Also the buffet area at all meal times excellent, it’s nice to have proper table cloths and napkins etc. staff all very attentive.
Stand out point was despite a slightly steep walk to the pool area (though you can be taken by golf cart if needed) all the sunbeds were free as in no one had reserved beds even by 11am still plenty. It made the holiday so much more relaxing. Ice cream fridges were a lovely plus. And also no need to wait for towel station to open it is open all day long.
The only point to make would be about the walk to the pool area if not got good mobility. But other than this I cannot fault the hotel at all. It was a fabulous holiday and we would return.
We stayed at Gloria Verde for seven nights over May half term with our children, aged 4 and 2, in a two-bedroom Family Suite. I am a travel agent, but this was not a paid trip - we paid for the holiday ourselves when I saw a fabulous offer available. We chose Gloria Verde having chosen the hotel partly because of its consistently excellent reviews, and it absolutely lived up to them.
Our first impression was the service. We arrived at around 9.30pm after a long travel day and expected the usual slightly stressful late check-in with two tired children. Instead, Guest Relations immediately made everything incredibly easy. As dinner was due to finish, they arranged for us to check in from the restaurant so we could eat first, showed us where the separate children's food section was and made sure we had drinks while everything else was taken care of. It was a small thing, but after a long journey it made such a difference and set the tone for the rest of the week.
Our two-bedroom Family Suite worked brilliantly for us. Having two separate bedrooms meant plenty of space and privacy while still being together behind one main door, and its location in a quieter block close to the main building and restaurant was ideal.
The size of Gloria Verde was probably one of our favourite things about it for a relaxed family break. Compared with some of the huge resorts in Antalya, it feels much more intimate and relaxed. There is still entertainment, a kids' club and plenty going on, but we never felt as though activities were being constantly pushed at us. There was no overpowering music around the pool or entertainment teams repeatedly trying to get people involved. With two young children, we loved the calmer atmosphere.
We spent a huge amount of time at the children's pool next to the Gogi Kids Club. It's heated, has a sandy bottom and slides, and the whole area is gated. There are plenty of loungers, shade, nearby drinks and snacks, children's toilets and easy access to the kids' club. It is an exceptionally well thought-out area for families with younger children.
Food was consistently excellent throughout our stay. We particularly enjoyed the Turkish dishes and breakfast was very good every morning. The drinks deserve a mention too – premium branded spirits, generous measures and properly made cocktails rather than the fairly basic drinks you sometimes get with all-inclusive.
The hotel was busy on some days during our stay, which occasionally meant fewer choices of tables at lunch or a short wait, but it never became a significant issue. Bar service remained quick and friendly and we never found ourselves queueing for drinks.
Most importantly, the staff throughout the hotel were warm, friendly and incredibly good with the children. The service felt thoughtful without being overbearing.
The best way I can describe Gloria Verde is that it makes a family holiday feel very easy. We weren't spending our days walking huge distances around the resort, navigating queues or feeling as though we were missing half of what the hotel offered. Everything we needed was close by, the children were happy and we could actually relax.
For families with younger children in particular, I think Gloria Verde gets the balance between a high-quality resort and a genuinely relaxing family holiday extremely right.
We would absolutely return.

The staff were extremely friendly, attentive, and professional throughout our stay. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the food was varied and enjoyable, and the service was consistently excellent. Special thanks to Parastoo for her friendly hospitality
