Adora Resort Hotel

This was our second stay at Adora Hotel & Resort. This time we stayed for 9 nights, from 22 to 31 August 2026, as a family of four. We had also stayed here two years earlier, so we had a good basis for comparison and unfortunately noticed a few changes for the worse.

Overall, we still think Adora is a very good hotel and we enjoyed our stay, but this time we missed some of the “wow” factor we remembered from our previous visit.

We stayed in a Duplex room. It was clean, serviced every day, and the minibar was regularly restocked. A bottle of red wine and a fruit plate were waiting for us on arrival, which was a nice touch. The air conditioning worked, but the system and temperature controls are clearly showing their age and it was difficult to set the temperature precisely.

The food was still good and there was plenty of choice. The main restaurant was very clean, tables were cleared quickly, and the buffet was constantly replenished. However, we felt that the food had been more varied two years ago, especially the desserts. The chocolate fountain we remembered from our previous stay was also gone.

One downside of the main restaurant is the limited number of tables in the air-conditioned indoor area. When the hotel was busy, it was very difficult to find a free table inside, so most of the time we ended up eating outdoors. In the August heat, that was not always comfortable. There were also queues in the mornings for freshly made omelettes. Freshly squeezed juices were available at an extra charge.

We really enjoyed the Italian à la carte restaurant on the top floor of the hotel. The food was very good and the views were beautiful.

The bars are another strong point. The drinks were good and the bartenders were friendly and efficient. Since our previous stay, Adora has introduced a whole range of cocktails inspired by the gods, which we really liked. Apollo was our favourite.

On the other hand, the bartenders on roller skates who used to bring drinks around the pool area are no longer there. It may sound like a small detail, but things like that gave Adora a special character.

The beach and pools are very good. Even when the hotel was busy, we could usually find a free sunbed. However, the best spots were “reserved” with towels very early in the morning. The front-row sunbeds on the beach and the best places around the pool were often taken before 7:00 a.m., and sometimes remained unused for hours. The hotel should manage this more strictly.

The entertainment was good. The animation team was friendly, the evening shows were enjoyable, and the discos were fun. During our stay, most guests were from Turkey, Russia and Germany, and the entertainment was mainly in those languages.

We deliberately chose these dates so that we could be at Adora on 30 August for Turkey’s Victory Day, Zafer Bayramı. Two years ago, the celebrations were really impressive and that was one of the reasons we wanted to return at the same time of year.

Unfortunately, in 2026 the celebrations were much more modest. The traditional Turkish goat-milk ice cream that had been served especially for Victory Day during our previous stay was also missing. Since we had specifically planned our holiday around 30 August, this was quite disappointing.

Another major negative was communication before arrival. I sent four emails to the hotel and did not receive a reply to any of them.

Some relatives were also due to arrive at around 11:00 p.m. with a small child. I asked reception in advance whether some food could be prepared for them, but I was simply told that we should take something for them from our own dinner. From a five-star resort, I would have expected a more professional solution for guests arriving late at night.

One more situation that did not feel appropriate for a five-star resort happened on 31 August at around 1:00 p.m., when the grass was being cut directly between guests relaxing on sunbeds by the pool. The noise and a lawnmower passing right next to people trying to relax were simply unnecessary in the middle of the day.

Overall, Adora is still a very good hotel. It has a great beach, good pools, tasty food, good bars, clean rooms and enjoyable evening entertainment. We would still recommend it and our holiday was enjoyable.

However, as returning guests, we could clearly see that some of the little extras that used to make Adora stand out have disappeared. None of these changes is a major problem on its own, but together they make the hotel feel a little less special than it did two years ago.

For us, it is still a solid 4/5. We just hope Adora does not continue cutting back on the small details that once gave it its unique atmosphere.

A wonderful hotel with lots of greenery, clean rooms, a well-maintained beach, and delicious, varied food. You won't stay hungry throughout the day because you can always grab a snack almost everywhere. Everyone can find a perfect place to relax.

We were staying with our child, and it was very convenient for us that there is a multifunctional mini club. Our daughter looked forward to seeing the girls every day and playing with them again.

During the day, there are also various activities for adults, such as darts, water polo, archery, boccia, and volleyball. In the evenings, there are fun parties and exciting shows as well.

We were absolutely delighted with our vacation. Thank you to every member of the staff. We wish you continued success and many grateful guests!

Amazing resort, so much choice of food, so many sun loungers all day. Staff so attentive, entertainment staff so lovely and inclusive. Spa treatment amazing. We will certainly be back
