Alanya Castle is only 10 minutes by car from Villa Sonata and 300 meteers ( a 4 minutes walk) from the Cleopatra Beach. Antalya Airport is only 130 km away. Gazipasa is only 45 km away. There are museums and historical places, like Alanya Castle, Damlatas Cave and Cleopatra Beach near our hotel, Villa Sonata.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Very nice experience, great food and massage was very relaxing :)
Unfortunately Villa Sonata is not worth the money they are asking for. Ok hotel, but way too expensive for what they offer. The breakfast is really basic and coffee is instant coffee from cardboad cups. Food otherwise is decent, but not totally fresh made; not even the "homemade burger". Rooms need removation, but the view is magnificent.
Unfortunately, our stay did not fully meet our expectations. The room could have been cleaner and those would also need some renovation. Housekeeping was available upon request, but during our stay the service was rather limited.
We were also surprised that drinking water and the safety box were not included in the all-inclusive package. The breakfast selection was quite modest, and we would have appreciated freshly brewed coffee instead of instant coffee served in paper cups.
On the positive side, the view from the hotel was beautiful and definitely one of the highlights of our stay.
Our third time here. Some things have changed like there are no glasses at breakfast so if you want a brew take your own mug. Some staff changes two but some old faces who we Love! This Hotel is small, you don’t have to fight for a sunbed, it’s clean, the staff are awsome. We just keep going back! We have travelled the world but this little Hotel is perfect for us. See you in June 2027. xxx ps the hill up to the hotel is a killer so take your time and don’t let your taxi driver dump you at the bottom of it! If he does don’t tip him!
Good location right in the heart of the town. Very steep hill so have to be prepared for a sweaty walk every night! Room was unfinished, lots of paint missing, hooks falling off the wall, the toilet flush was broken when we arrived etc. Just didn’t look like it had been finished. Especially as we paid extra for a nicer room. When we asked about the flush it did get fixed the next day which was good, but again we only had the room cleaned 2 times on a 10 day stay. You have to put the door sign out but the rooms don't have doorhandles? And we did this a few times and no one came. When we did get fresh sheets they had stains on. We had a beautiful view however and is a good place if you just need a place to sleep. We ate once at the restaurant and were not blown away it was average and the cocktails were very expensive. We had “kitchen facilities” which was a 20 year old manual stove with very limited plates or cutlery. We used the room literally just for the sleep which is fine for what it is, but I think the photos were misleading and not worth what we paid.
