Perfect accommodation for those who want to live near the sea for a week or two when the heat returns. Also suitable as a transit hotel for 1 - 2 nights during the off-season.
Prons: Well-cleaned rooms. Cozy little room with a couch and balcony. Close to the sea. Pools. Close to shopping street with many restaurants.
Cons: Breakfast not worth the money.
We spent wonderfull week in Hotel Riviera. (Two adults and two teenager girls) Good things:
*close to nice park *gym (Even it was pretty small)
Not so good things:
What a great holiday in Hotel Riviera Spa. Great and friendly staff, good food, good drinks etc. We had a superbe holiday. Rooms very clean and awesome. Pool area was nice. Absolutely fantastic. And yes, hamam was great too. Expecially staff was great. We will visit this hotel again! Greetings from Sister and his Brother
We were placed at Riviera Hotel & Spa, where a group of around 20–25 young people were staying. This group took up far too much space and completely ruined the experience for other guests. They occupied the pool area for hours every day, left their drinks everywhere, and were extremely noisy. They played their own music and shouted loudly, making it impossible to relax—even in our room with the windows closed, we could clearly hear them.
The group was also intrusive towards other guests, especially young women, whom they approached and disturbed.
The hotel staff was unfortunately useless. The reception kept sending us from one employee to another without taking responsibility. When we finally spoke to the manager, she was unpleasant and not helpful at all. She claimed she had already spoken to the group, but their behavior did not change at all, which makes it hard to believe her.
There were constantly no available sunbeds, and the overall level of service was very poor. At no point did the staff take any initiative to help or follow up, even though we passed the reception multiple times.
What was most unacceptable was that the manager gave misleading information. She claimed that the hotel cannot see who books through charter travel agencies, which seems very unlikely since booking always includes age and number of guests. This came across as unprofessional and dishonest.
The experience was so bad that we ended up spending our own money to go to other places just to get some peace and enjoy the last days of our vacation.
About Apollo Travel:
Apollo Travel was also not helpful. Their response time to messages was very slow, and the communication felt disengaged. When we called, they said they “understood our situation,” but the only solution they offered was for us to pay extra to move to another hotel.
It is completely unreasonable that we, as customers, have to pay extra to escape a hotel that they cooperate with and that clearly does not meet basic standards.
Conclusion:
This experience ruined the last two days of our vacation. Both Riviera Hotel & Spa and Apollo Travel showed a lack of responsibility, poor service, and unprofessional handling. I cannot recommend traveling with Apollo or staying at this hotel.
I cannot recommend this hotel.
The hotel itself was nice, and the waiters and housekeeping staff were friendly. HOWEVER... A group of around 20 Turkish men arrived at the hotel to celebrate. Several guests complained about their behaviour, but the hotel did absolutely nothing to address the situation. They were allowed to drink THEIR OWN ALCOHOL freely at the pool, and the hotel even provided them with coolers to keep their drinks cold. They took over the shallow children's pool, threw their cigarette butts into it, and the hotel allowed them to play their own music at full volume, forcing everyone else to listen to it. The atmosphere around the pool became so chaotic that it was no longer safe to let children stay there, and we didn't feel comfortable using the pool ourselves. Beer glasses were left all around the pool area. The group behaved aggressively towards other guests, shouting and applauding whenever they managed to make people leave the pool. Despite this, the hotel staff did nothing to stop them. When we spoke to the hotel manager, his solution was to suggest that WE should move to the beach instead! At a hotel of this price and standard, every guest should be able to enjoy their holiday, and the same rules should apply to everyone. Instead, it felt as though other guests were treated unfairly while everything was allowed for the hotel's fellow countrymen. I will never return to this hotel, and I sincerely hope that no other family with children has to experience what we did. If you encounter any problems during your stay, be prepared: the hotel has no intention of resolving them..
