Numa Port Hotel

Nice location next to the port, although we had a view of the courtyards which was definitely not very picturesque, however I understand that a view of the port comes with a lot of noise from traffic and the port. The best beach (Cleopatra beach) about 1 mile walk. Hotel room was clean but room was small and dark. All facilities like kettle, hairdryer, iron and board, bathrobes and slippers available in room which was good with plenty of mirrors and plug sockets available. TV in room but not many English channels. Breakfast was nice. Due to being a Muslim country there is no ham or bacon which is absolutely fine of course but means for English patrons breakfast is restricted to scrambled or boiled eggs or omelette, salad, fruit, a small amount of cereal and breast/toast and a variety of yogurts. After two weeks it became a bit boring. Although it was well presented and restaurant staff were nice and helpful. Pool very small and only a few beds, some of which were in the shade all day. Pool very cold and definitely not heated. We and others asked for the heat to be turned on but we were told " we will ask managers'....it never happened. No rep seen from TUI in the whole two weeks we stayed and very little information available on tourist things to do. Overall it was a nice hotel in a beautiful little town but we felt it was more of a hotel for a city break.

Numa Port Hotel is a lovely, modern and exceptionally clean hotel, perfectly situated in the heart of Alanya. The location is excellent, surrounded by numerous restaurants and just a short walk from the bustling bazaar. The views overlooking the picturesque harbour are beautiful, and the staff are absolutely fantastic – incredibly friendly, welcoming and professional throughout. A real credit to the hotel!

The hotel restaurant is superb, serving amazing food with stunning views across the port and surrounding mountains. I'd highly recommend dining here, even if you're not staying at the hotel! The gym is also very nice, although unfortunately the sauna wasn't working during our stay, which was a shame.

However, the biggest disappointment was the soundproofing. If you're a light sleeper like me, be particularly cautious about staying on the first floor, especially in rooms 106–113, which are situated directly above a nightclub. The noise was horrendous and made it virtually impossible to sleep until the club closed, usually somewhere between 2am and 4am. This seriously affected our sleep and unfortunately took the shine off what would otherwise have been a wonderful stay.

It's a genuine shame because Numa Port has so much going for it – an excellent location, beautiful surroundings, superb food and genuinely wonderful staff. I'd certainly recommend the restaurant, but if you're considering staying here, I'd strongly suggest requesting a room well away from the nightclub. After all, a good night's sleep shouldn't be the one luxury missing from your holiday!
