Enjoying fantastic panoramic views over the beautiful Mediterranean Sea, this popular hotel is situated just 50m from the renowned, sandy Kleopatra Beach and 1km from the centre of Alanya. A large outdoor pool, a separate children's pool and a sauna are available for guests. The famous attractions of Alanya such as Damlatas Caves or the Red Tower are just a short stroll away, while Alanya's Castle which overlooks the beach from its clifftop position, is easily reached by public transport. Exuding a chic, understated style, all luxury hotel rooms including 2 rooms especially equipped for the disabled have views of the sparkling Mediterranean or the intriguing Toros mountains. All rooms are equipped with high-quality amenities.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
My wife and I have stayed at this hotel many times. My wife is a coeliac and requires a strict gluten free diet, the hotel catering staff are extremely helpful and ensure her needs are met ensuring she is well informed about what is NOT suitable. The hotel is very clean and the room staff polite helpful. The hotel has roughly 150 rooms which we like because it offers a more personal experience. The pool area is very well appointed with a bar that you can sit at when cooling in the water, The bar and waiter staff are very friendly and will always try to help, sometimes language can require a little patience with new staff but they are quick learners and respond well to encouragement. The hotel location suits us well, 150 meters from the beach, a bus stop is directly outside the hotel and fares are less than £1 to the city centre. The walk to the city centre and harbour takes about 30 minutes, if you don’t stop at every shop! The hotel management are very helpful if you have any issues whether it be health or local information. Amanda is the perfect manager to speak too if you British she can offer advice on anything you may need locally and even assist guide you to the best companies organising trips. We will be returning again next year to enjoy another relaxing break from the great British weather.
Grand Okan is an extraordinary hotel! If anyone's looking for a great time at Alanya, definitely take a look at this hotel. It's clean, grand in size (as its name states), and makes sure you leave with amazing memories on your way back home. The hotel's general manager, Amanda, will give you the absolute BEST stay of all time! She's genuinely the sweetest and the funniest. She's so attentive with everyone and speaks multiple languages, so communication is really a piece of cake with her. Even when she's busy, she spares time for her guests. I stayed there last week in May, too.
The hotel was wonderful, as always. My family and I, consisting of me, my parents, and my older sister, have been staying at this hotel whenever we visit Alanya. For years—maybe even a decade for me, this hotel has offered nothing but spectacular changes anually. From the staff to the people in charge of the building, they all accommodate you warmly and ensure you feel as welcome as ever. The events that are held between holidays—like the Sacrifice Holdiay that was held the week I visited—are celebrated with the vibrance of a colourful festival. Special occasions, karaoke, pool nights, dancers, all can happen once something special is on the calendar. You might want to book your stay based on that to enhance your experience. Albeit this being just a simple word of advice, you could always try to have some extra fun.
The buffet's always full of rich, unique, scrumptious delicacies that range from Türk (Turkish) cultural dishes to plates from other cultures. The chefs are one of the most talented people you'll see. They're exceptional at their craft. There's also a bar at the outdoor dining area, which is located near the pool that glimmers during the evening. There's always something different nearly every day, and the happy hours at night time give older visitors a chance to loosen up. People are usually great company there, and the waiters are pretty funny. They work efficiently and still find the time to chat with you like multi-taskers.
As for the rooms, I have many things to say. First things first, they're perfect for each season. The beds are soft, comfortable, and give perfect rest during the night. So much so that you'll never catch yourself tossing and turning, believe me. The ACs work with multiple settings you can play around with, and so does the TV. The balconies provide views of the beautiful blue sea from above if you book the right room, just remember to ask for it to the receptionists! The room service is also great. They're super nice all the time. You can read the manual given to each room to find out more about it. Talking about staff, the housekeepers keep everything spotless once you hit the "clean-up" switch in your room. Don't worry, nothing will be lost whilst the staff's tidying up the room.
Besides all that, let's talk about the expenses. The hotel and rooms itself aren't all that costly for the experience you receive. Honestly, I could never complain about the price when the hotel gives me a priceless time each and every year. Be it low seasons (although summer just hits differently), you'll be spending an amazing time there!
The hotel also owns an amazing beach bar/restaurant next building named "Green Beach." It bridges the beach and restaurant together, and you'll most likely be unable to leave once you sit down. You MUST eat pizza there at least once. The prices are reasonable, the place is astonishing, and the nighttime experiences there? To die for.
All in all, it's the perfect place for those who like the beach (it's literally right next to it!), friendly company, delicious food, beautiful views, gorgeous interior, flawless service, and a heck load of memories to create. Definitely the only hotel I'll ever stay at in Alanya. As someone from Türkiye (Turkey), and also as someone who's seen many hotels, I can say—without hesitation—Grand Okan is one of the best hotels you can stay at. I suggest you all check it out before everyone else books a room before you!
I’ve stayed at the Grand Okan several times and have always had a great experience there. The staff are all really friendly, helpful and responsive and go out of their way to make sure that you have a good holiday; Amanda, the General Manager, ensures that she is available for her guests at all times, she speaks multiple languages, and is always ready to help if anyone has a problem. The hotel is very clean and the beds comfortable plus its position (which is so close to the Kleopatra beach) is great – especially with the rear entrance of the hotel making it less than 5 minutes to walk to the beach.
The food selection is admittedly slightly more limited than some of the other hotels that I’ve stayed in in Alanya, however it is always fresh and tasty and I never have a problem finding something that I like and although the hotel is half board, food is available to order at lunchtime for anyone who wants some.
I went on my own for this trip, however never lacked for someone to talk to and felt very comfortable being in the hotel on my own and my friends and I have already booked to go back again!
Another fantastic stay in Grand Okan my 2nd home in Alanya.Huge thanks to Amanda (manageress) and all fantastic staff all polite and helpful.cant wait to go back September.Highly recommend this hotel
The hotel combines a fantastic location, comfortable rooms, excellent service, and reliable high-speed internet, which allows me to work remotely with ease during longer stays.
One thing I've noticed over the years is the large number of returning guests. Many come back every year or even several times a year, creating a unique club-like atmosphere with familiar faces and a genuine sense of community.
The loyalty of so many guests speaks for itself. Grand Okan is clearly a hotel that is professionally managed and consistently delivers a high standard of hospitality.
Special thanks to Amanda Jane and her team for their professionalism, dedication, and warm welcome. You have created a place that feels less like a hotel and more like a home away from home.
