TRH Taoro Garden Hotel

RELAXING…… this is the best way to describe the overall experience. This hotel has the luxury of being located next to the Taoro park and its beautiful mature gardens, which is continued throughout the hotel grounds. A large pool with plenty of room for a swim or float. The pool bar serves beautiful food- not the usual poolside standard, this is all very nice. The drinks are Amstel on draft 4.1% so light and refreshing but at a steady pace it will flow all day… otherwise there are cocktails galore all made with branded alcohol and fresh fruit where required. I’m not a cocktail person but they do look nice!! The location for the town is a 10 minute walk through beautiful gardens but moderately steep downhill in places….However the hotel has a regular shuttle bus service from the reception area to the towns shopping complex although Sunday is a day off… taxi is €5. The main restaurant is a buffet style with plenty of options and a very quick and polite drink service too. The bar is located next to the restaurant and has a large selection of drinks (again just beer for me) in the evening there’s a table service or it’s never a long queue if you prefer that. The entertainment is good as background for the last drinks of the day. The rooms are clean and comfortable with lovely balcony view overlooking the garden. There is a good small fridge, hairdryer, shower cap, toothbrush brush/paste, shaving set and a free key code safe - all provided. The rooms are cleaned daily and towels changed if you put them in the bath / shower. I would highly recommend this hotel if it’s a total relaxing experience to recharge and chill. It’s our third visit here and it won’t be long until number four. The town is full of little bars, plenty of shops and has a large lido with its own bar and restaurant. You can get pizza and two drinks for around €23 at the front. There is a couple of beaches with the main one having changing facilities and showers/toilets. Lifeguards are also there (I’ve never seen them move much though)!! The only negative is the transfer from the airport… you can wait over an hour for your coach and another 30 minutes for it to leave then 2 hours to the hotel. The local taxi company here charge €100 ish. So £80 . The coach shuttle goes from stand 61 I hope this information helps answer a few things. I’m going to do some more relaxing now ;)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel. We wanted somewhere quiet and peaceful to celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint. The grounds were like an oasis of calm. The only noise came from the beautiful birds (we loved the vibrant green parrots). The views of Teide were stunning. Congratulations to the grounds maintenance team for maintaining such beauty. The pool was great for swimming and we loved its cooling waters. The pool bar was excellent serving refreshing drinks and tasty, freshly prepared snacks. The bar staff were charming and always gave perfect service with a smile.

We loved the quality and variety of food in the restaurant. We stayed fully inclusive so enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner. The catering team must be commended on their varied and delicious offerings. The waiting staff must also be commended for their friendly and courteous service (especially Tomas!) We really enjoyed the fabulous cocktails on the terrace after dining. The evening live entertainment provided a relaxed and charming ambience.

We slept really well as the bed was nice and comfortable and the black out curtains provided relaxing darkness. Coupled with the serenity of the surroundings , the nights sleep was excellent. The room was a good size and the fridge was perfect for keeping our drinks cool. The balcony was private and a good size with charming views. A perfect spot to relax day or night.

The cleaning team do a marvellous job as the hotel is spotless. Many thanks to them for their thorough service with a smile. We loved the day time entertainment - darts, ping pong, aquasize. A huge thank you to the lovely Erica for her fun and laughter!

The hotel shuttle bus is perfect for a trip into town (although a taxi only costs a few euros). We loved the library in the foyer too. The reception staff set the scene for the service throughout the hotel - professional, welcoming and amicable.

We really enjoyed the mix of nationalities in the hotel. It was so wonderful to chat with so many lovely people from different corners of the world. They were respectful, kind and fun!

We would recommend this hotel to people who appreciate serenity, comfort and great food. We would love to stay again and only wish we'd stayed here 36 years earlier as its calming ambience would have suited us then too! Thank you to all at Taoro Hotel, it's staff and management for an unforgettable wedding anniversary. We would love to return.

The location of the hotel was good easy to to get. The hotel was very clean. Staff very helpful polite. Check in on out all was perfect. The room was very good condition at all times. Very clean.
