The hotel is situated in a tranquil zone of Puerto de la Cruz, in the north of Tenerife, with Panoramic views of the Orotava Valley and Mount Teide, Parque Taoro and the Atlantic Ocean. The town centre is some 1km away, and the beach 1.4km. Transfer time to Tenerife North airport is some 20 minutes and to Tenerife South airport, some 90 minutes.
The hotel was founded in the year 1959 by the Talg family, and today the third generation of this family manage the hotel with care and dedication. It's distinction has been recognized with National and International diplomas and most importantly by the loyalty of it's clients. The gastronomy is an important feature of the hotel and can be enjoyed in the elegant Tinguaro Restaurant, with it's ample, sunny terrace. The hotel has 76 double rooms and 7 junior suites and is surrounded by more than 4000m2 of subtropical gardens where species from all over the world can be found. On a weekly basis, and at the request of the clients, a guided visit is made to the gardens. The hotel also offers 24hr reception service, money exchange, two lifts, bar, shop, games room, TV room, hairdressers and internet access (additional charge).
The comfortable rooms are sound-proofed and offer a balcony with views of Mount Teide or the Parque Taoro. They are air-conditioned and offer a TV with remote control, minibar, safe deposit box (with additional charge), full bathroom with bath and adjustable shower, hairdryer, bathrobe, pool towels and a selection of amenities. Smoking rooms are available on request.
The clients can enjoy the open air swimming pool, which is heated during the Winter season, as well as the beautiful gardens. There is also the sauna, steam room and massage service available to guests (extra charges apply). For further diversion there is tennis and table tennis.
The clients can reserve breakfast or half board.

Do not go half board - stick with B&B
This would have been 4 stars if we had travelled Bed and Breakfast. The hotel is clean; grounds are immaculate, staff are friendly especially reception and the breakfast is good. The major let down is the evening meal if you travel half board. It is average at best. You have a choice of hot/cold soup every night. The main course fish or meat always overcooked and done en-masse - no vegetables other than salad choice. Then it’s a choice of soft desert. There is a la carte menu but this is not part of the half board package and is in a different part of the hotel with entertainment – you do feel like a second-rate guest on the half board package. The drinks are expensive which may be acceptable if the food was of a high standard but who wants to pay 25 euro on a bottle of wine when the value of the entire meal is at 16 euro. The only other let down really is the room, which are clean and functional except the air conditioning which doesn’t cool the room and is noisy.
A great place for a relaxing holiday
This is the second time that we have stayed at this delightful hotel and we look forward to returning to again. It is a family run hotel and it shows. Nothing is too much trouble for their guests and all of the staff are simply wonderful. The buffet breakfast has probably the best selection of offerings of any hotel that we have stayed in. We only stayed bed and breakfast so cannot comment on the half board dinners but the a la carte restaurant is top class and a lovely place to spend an evening.

Wonderful,blissful hotel
Have just returned from a 5 night stay at this fabulous hotel,sorry we did book for longer!! The quality of the rooms, gardens,pool and of course not forgetting the impeccable staff,are unsurpassed. The food offerings at breakfast are phenomenal,with everything you’d ever need for your morning repast. We sampled the snack menu ,and again excellent quality and price.
The owner,management team and all the staff were amazing and prepared to go the extra mile to ensure your holiday was perfect.
You all deserve A WELL EARNED PAT ON THE BACK , for providing me with the holiday experience of a lifetime. Keep up the good work!! Once again thank you so, so much , and we hope to return in the not to distant future. Regards,

The roof of Puerto de la Cruz!
Great Hotel with a view over Puerto de la Cruz. Excellent team at reception, kitchen, restaurant and bar. Reliable room service in well sized rooms. Since guests were just adults, ideal for quiet vacation in relaxing hotel, garden and pool environment. We will come back.

Excellent hotel and staff
This hotel is lovely in every respect. It has been in the same family since it was built and most of the staff have been there many years. This alone speaks volumes as to how well it is run and how nice everyone is. The hotel and extensive gardens are meticulously maintained. The food at breakfast is some of the best we’ve had with no end of choice. The staff can’t do enough for you and I must give a special mention to the barman Abel. I asked for a whiskey old fashioned cocktail ( not realising at the time it wasn’t on the cocktail list) and he googled it and told me he could make it no problem. It was excellent and he continued to make them for me when asked. A welcome drink at check-in is a nice touch too. I would not hesitate to stay here again if we return to Puerto de la Cruz.
