This attractive hotel, completely refurbished in spring 2012, enjoys a wonderful location in the La Paz district of Puerto de la Cruz, just 300 metres away from the Botanical Garden and 1 km away from the beach and the famous Lago Martiánez salt water pools by renowned artist César Manrique. The city centre with its picturesque narrow streets, squares and multitude of bars and cafés as well as shops can be reached within a short stroll. Features of the hotel include a 300 m2 outdoor pool, a children's pool and an indoor pool, all of them heated in winter. Guests will appreciate services and amenities such as a children's playground, a complimentary sauna as well as a complimentary shuttle service to the centre. The restaurant with terrace offers delicious Canarian and international cuisine. A lovely place for couples and families for a beach holiday close to all amenities of urban life.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Wonderful peaceful place to stay
Lovely hotel 4 star, excellent staff.Thats why we have been three times.
This is our 2nd visit to this hotel in just over a year and we love it - this was a special holiday to celebrate a Birthday & Ruby wedding - however despite advising TUi & the hotel direct of our celebrations they pretty much ignored the fact so don't expect too much by way of treats - freebies - discounts or even recognition for special occasions. Having said that though the hotel is excellent with lovely rooms and all very well maintained. We visited the SPA on our Anniversary with the spa circuit (basically access to the indoor pool etc) which is €15 for guests - the SPA is very well maintained and up-market - just a shame that the hotel doesn't see value in allowing free access for residents for a single visit during their stay basis - as does our favourite Barcelo hotel which gives an insight into the facilities available which sadly here you miss unless you pay for it (a missed opportunity in promoting the spa on this hotels part) The outside pool area and gardens are lovely but there are issues with the tiled flooring around the pool as it gets very slippy when wet - we do understand however that this will be rectified with new tiling during the 2026 end of season period. The restaurant is excellent with plenty of choice for breakfast and evening meals (there is only pool bar snacks at lunch so no full board option here) the bars in the main hotel and pool area are very good but quite pricey and a large beer here is nothing like a pint - probably a little more than a half and they do tend to short change you with lots off head to reduce the volume of beer 😔 - they also have a policy of not allowing drinks to be taken into the restaurant in the evening so you have to purchase the overpriced bottled beer at the table as there is no draught beer available in the restaurant - local wines were nice though and not too expensive for restaurant prices. Overall we love the hotel and will be visiting again it's in a nice area far enough out of Puerto de la Cruz which is becoming very tired with obvious under investment into infrastructure. It's just a short walk from The Botanical Gardens which are superb and just €3 entry - there are also some nice cafes and bars serving some nice beers and an excellent Gellato shop (opposite the entrance to The Botanical Gardens Hotel) Overall I'd say the quality is worthy of it's 4 star hotel rating.
