Stayed here for 9 nights (half board) very clean & nice building a bit of luxury Food was ok, But staff including housekeeping & receptionists were excellent! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The gentleman in the photo was very great & helpful to find my phone which I left in a taxi! He’s so patient & polite 👌🏻They don’t mind to go extra mile for making your stay enjoyable! Would love to come back here ♥️🙏🏻
Just returned from 10 nights as a family of 4 with 2 daughters- 10 and 13. The hotel was lovely- clean and a great room right on the end of the 3rd floor so on the whole was very quiet. Air con wasn’t great nor was the WiFi- constantly dropped out and didn’t seem to be able to have more than 2 devices connected whilst in our room….. We had a 2 bedroom room which was great. Cleaners did a great job daily. Staff were excellent- very friendly and welcoming. We knew the weather wasn’t as hot as the south but not sure if we had typical weather but was very cloudy, breezy and lacking sun which meant the pools were freezing so unlike all our other holidays the children didn’t really get in much. Also meant no challenge to get sun loungers!! There is table tennis, mini golf (needs some tlc) and tennis available free of charge. Food was ok- we felt it lacked variety and there wasn’t any speciality evenings or meals like we’ve had in other smaller hotel. The location is ok- we’re an active family, but the walk to the puerto de la Cruz square was very steep down and up and then the hills to get to the hotel which a lot would struggle with! The town itself is typical - few good shops- restaurants were ok. We found a great burger place- ‘smash hub’ which was delicious. Due to the weather we headed out on the bus to Santa Cruz a couple of times, La Laguna, La Oratava etc buses were great and got them from the bus station- paid by card and ranged between 8euro to 20euro (to Santa Cruz) for the 4 of us. Supermarket across the road isn’t great- it’s ok for the odd bot but very little selection. There is a hiperdino with more options at the indoor market hall which is about a 5 min walk. Over all was ok- due to weather and hike to get to the town we wouldn’t return
Had a lovely stay at the Hotel Puerto Palace. The room was light, airy and had plenty of room for two. We enjoyed our sea view too. The food was always fresh and delicious, different choices each day. The staff were friendly and happy to help with any issues. Entertainment was good each night, got us on the dancefloor having a boogie! I really liked the location of the hotel, a bit tricky if you are challenged with mobility issues as it is atop a large hill from the beach at Puerto de la Cruz, but all in all a great location. The only thing I would suggest is that the hotel is starting to look a little dated in places, could use a nice lick of paint. But certainly nothing that wouldn't put me off visiting again! The hotel itself is nice and quiet, although there was some noise around the pool each day from what seemed to be relentless vacuuming above? Big thanks to the staff at Puerto Palace for a lovely holiday!
I don’t usually write reviews but I feel like people should be prevented from coming to a place like this, especially if you are young girls. We didn’t originally book to stay in this hotel but our other hotel had maintenance issues so easy jet moved us to this hotel. I just want to start off by saying, from the first day of being here the staff were not welcoming whatsoever and were pretty hostile which made us not feel comfortable at all, everytime we spoke to them they made us feel dumb and spoke very patronising towards us. This could be due to the language barrier however you could tell from the tone of what they were saying. Please be aware if you are staying in one of these bedrooms, the cleaners are not afraid of taking your stuff. One day we came back up from the pool to find that our beds were not made and were still dirty, however the alcohol that we had bought previously in duty free had been stolen whilst being 3/4 full. They also did not remove any rubbish from our room and did not refresh our towels and when they did they gave us one. It’s not that I fully expect them to be cleaning all of our mess but it was a bit hard as there was no bin in our room. We are lucky because we did not have to pay the full price of what the hotel actually costs, but if we did I would be even more disappointed as it is not cheap and we were not treated fairly at all. On a positive note, this is a bed and breakfast and the breakfast was not half bad and had quite alot of options. On the other hand, the bar is extremely overpriced, you have to pay €2 for a liquid free cup with ice which I think is ridiculous. We are two 19 year old girls who have obviously gone to tenerife for the nightlife as it is well known for it, we had pretty bad experiences in bars and clubs and we would then arrive back to the hotel just to find out we are locked out? The night before, a particular staff member clearly had a problem with us and was telling us to shush when we were just having a conversation after coming back in from a night out, I don’t know if these two things correlate as this did not happen any night before but it could have been a factor. The pool is also pretty cold, it is definitely not 25° as it says. The wifi is also dreadful and only connects whilst you are in the bathroom or balcony. Overall I would NOT recommend Puerto Palace to anyone unless you are abive the age of 60, however this could still be a problem as this hotel is far away from any beach or shop and is very hilly which is another downside so you may have to get a taxi from place to place. It is a shame because it could be a nice hotel if these small adjustments were made, there is definitely potential.
A pleasant 4 night stay at Puerto Palace to visit family. The hotel was clean, the staff very friendly and helpful (shout out to Nicole the manager). We were half board and dinner and breakfast were buffet style and very good with a wide range of choices. Several swimming pools, two outside jacuzzi, plenty of sun loungers. Friendly and efficient bar staff and excellent entertainment- the female singer and her DJ on Friday night were brilliant. Loved it all and will definitely stay in PP again.
