We are finishing a 5 night stay at the hotel. Beautiful hotel - atmosphere is calm and relaxing.
The room is clean and modern. Furniture on the balcony is comfortable. Good wardrobe space. Bed comfortable and we slept really well.
We really enjoyed the food. Breakfast and dinner both had very good choices. We loved the smoothies and infused waters.
Staff very friendly.
Gardens are beautiful and gardeners work hard caring for the trees and plants.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and can't think of any negatives.
The hotel is very nice and appears to be recently refurbished - all of the staff are very polite and always helpful. The hotel is a little way from the town - it can be easily walked but the hotel has a shuttle service and a bus stop outside. The food is typically Spanish and plentiful.
Construction noise, serious food safety concerns, and inconsistent service – not what you'd expect from a 5-star resort
We stayed at the Radisson Resort and Residences in Tenerife for 10 nights and unfortunately the experience fell well short of the 5-star standard advertised.
Construction noise: We were woken on two consecutive mornings at around 8:30am by power drills and hammering from ongoing building work elsewhere in the resort. This was sad given that we had arrived late night and were woken up. We were eventually moved to a junior suite to escape the noise, but the air conditioning in that room didn't cool properly even on the lowest setting, so we traded one problem for another and offered a cheap bottle of Cava less than £10. There's an active construction site clearly visible on the grounds, with a skip, exposed tiles and cement on display.
Food safety: This was our biggest concern. Buffet food was almost never labelled, which made it genuinely difficult to know what you’re eating, and think if someone had allergies it would be difficult to know what they could safely eat. Of course they say officially that we care about allergies and blah blah blah . No one cares. On one occasion I ordered a plain cheese omelette and was told it would have no meat in it, only to find it had been made in a bowl that still had ham from a previous order mixed in. We raised this with restaurant staff multiple times across the stay and were essentially told to "find the labels," even though nothing was labelled. Meat was frequently overcooked, tough, prawns weren't properly cleaned, and meats/cheeses weren't kept chilled. Staff were rude. We saw a few staff that just couldn’t care less. Bar staff were pathetically rude.
Service: Staff at the bar and restaurant were often slow or didn't acknowledge guests. We watched several other guests complaining about the same long bar waits. I saw a customer being turned away from our table because the waitress did not want to clear it up. Coffee pods weren't restocked despite repeated requests, there was no welcome drink at check-in despite this supposedly being a 5-star inclusion, and the advertised spa wasn't available during our stay. The restaurant staff weren’t helpful at all tables weren’t cleared and often I had to get my own cutlery during a 10 night day. No one ever asked me if I wanted a drink or water. Tables were piled with plates upon plates upon plates.
No visible manager ever came to speak with us directly despite being aware of the ongoing issues.
We'd genuinely struggle to call this a 5-star resort based on our stay, particularly around food safety, which is a basic standard regardless of star rating. Construction work, if unavoidable, should at minimum be disclosed to guests in advance.
I would never return.
Great hotel and staff. Recently refurbished to a very high standard .
Beautiful hotel and gardens. Lovely room and great food. Staff nice and friendly. Would have been nice to be allowed to play with a ball in the pool. Also somewhere to dry wet towels or swimming suits wear.
