This splendid hotel is located in the charming old town district of Puerto de la Cruz on the inviting island of Tenerife. The hotel is situated at a walking distance from the attractive beach of Playa Jardin. Guests will find a range of shopping and leisure venues in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. The hotel embraces the traditional rustic charm of the building, offering guests relaxing, tranquil surroundings, which are rich in culture and history. The outdoor pool area is perfect to spend a sunny day while the restaurant is ideal to have a delicious meal. The rooms are beautifully decorated with warm tones and wooden furniture. They are equipped with all the amenities visitors need to have a pleasant and memorable stay.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The location near to the heart of the old town is superb as is the history of the hotel, one of the original grand houses before being turned into a hotel. Our room was basic but comfortable and cleaned, towels refreshed every day. We found the staff at the front desk very helpful, with a couple of great suggestions for day’s activities and the restaurant staff as well. Breakfast hat hot and cold options and plenty to choose from although a bit of a queue at the coffee machines. The tables outside for drinks or food were fine as well. Would definitely come back to this hotel, with quirky history & great location over one of the anymore blocks.
Stayed here for 5 nights . Beautiful room with huge balcony . All the staff were extremely helpful and cheerful . We walked everywhere and were able to pick up tickets for excursions about 20 metres from the hotel . We have stayed here twice once before Covid time and hotel is probably even better than then .
Friday night and due to some confusion we were six diners without a booking. We tried a few places unsuccessfully then went here. They sprang into action and assembled a large table. Had I read the reviews beforehand I would have been doubtful but our experience was very good; some of reviews are very old 🤷🏻♂️. We had good service with drinks arriving quickly and everyone liked their meal. Prices were reasonable and the building has an historic charm. They’re was a singer on the terrace which added to the atmosphere and we greatly enjoyed our evening.
A suitable location close to many shops and restaurants plus the marina areas. Room air con and heating didn't work too well and TV reception intermittent. Otherwise clean and comfortable. First night kept waking to the church bells that chime on the hour. Swimming pool on roof top is more of a splash pool. Could get quite crowded up there when busy, although not warm enough early March. Bar/terrace great place to have a drink and people watch. Staff very friendly. Breakfast time in the dining room can be chaotic unless you arrive when it first opens.
The information on the website is misleading and additional information found on 'On The Beach' site are total lies. The pool is tiny, the breakfast is cold, it was alleged to have a gym but doesn't. It alleged to have evening entertainment in the bar are but it doesn't. The rooms were small and cramped with no basic appliances (i.e. a kettle). It claims to have a bath with shower yet it only has a shower. The only redeeming part of the hotel were the polite ladies on reception. I was told to email the director/manager but I get no reply.
