Well managed and very enjoyable
I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt this hotel deserved one. I’ve stayed here before, and on this visit the difference was noticeable. The atmosphere feels more organized, the staff seem happier and more engaged, and the overall experience was much smoother than I remembered.
I also had the chance to briefly see the hotel manager interacting with both guests and the team. He came across as approachable, professional and genuinely involved instead of staying hidden in an office. It’s refreshing to see a manager who is clearly present and paying attention to the details.
Hotels don’t improve overnight, and it really feels like someone is putting in the effort behind the scenes. Keep up the great work—I hope this positive direction continues.

Pleasant stay
Lovely hotel with welcoming staff. Enjoyed the adults only area with our son who was 16 and didn’t want to be involved with the kids activities. Played tennis and giant chess.
Room cleaned every day and rooms met all needs- would have been useful to have some utensils as we were half board with a kitchen and no items to make a sandwich.
The only let down was the food. We were half board and felt very repetitive each night. I stopped eating chicken from the second day in after finding raw chicken. The chef just took my plate off me and walked away, did not check what was on the buffet area. My confidence was lost from that point. I would advise staying bed and breakfast - no issues there. Taxis were cheap and you have the free shuttle. We did walk up and down the hill but in the heat wouldn’t be something I’d do everyday!
A great experience in a unique setting
A wonderful hotel in a unique hilltop setting. Overlooking Porto de la Cruz the views are to die for. With extensive grounds and great facilities. The staff are rightly proud of this gem. There is a shuttle bus to town and trips to the National Park and mount Tiede. Loro Parque is also close. There is obviously a rolling program of renovation for the building : some of the rooms have not been renewed yet so a bit tired. Nevertheless we had one of the suites which was great for the family Spotlessly clean Dining was great lots of choice and themed evenings. Children's entertainment was also good

No sunshine
Only 2 days in but regretting it. The hotel rooms are big enough although a bit dated, air con is noisy but able to sleep through it. The food isn't the best, so far breakfast is good. Drinks are decent, staff are super nice and the entertainment is ok. I knew you might have the low cloud cover but so far its been consistent. If your looking for sunshine don't come here as there isnt any, go to the south or somewhere else for your holiday. I wont come back to the north, wasted £2500 and feel really sad.
And don't check the weather forecast and think oh its says sunny all week and think it will be trust me, 2 days in and nothing but clouds. Would have been better staying at home, at least the weather forecast is accurate. Expectation vs reality, its been cloudy all day. Wish I was rich as I would leave and go somewhere else, so depressed.
Well worth a visit slightly dated but very well cared for and the grounds immaculate
Very spacious albeit a little dated. Views of both the sea and mountains are spectacular,my room was on the ground floor,very large and a functional bathroom with very hot water at all times. The buffet was varied,at times could have been hotter,but by far the best inclusive deal I have sampled. I opted for the drinks package for about 20 euros a night which was well worthwhile and branded spirits were available. All who worked there were helpful and cheerful,especially in reception. Thanks to FGW I missed my flight,so arrived late and the Dining room was closed,but Salome arranged an excellent cold platter and salad which was not expected but much appreciated. There is a huge outside area around the pools,so never a problem find a sunbed with umbrella. As the town is not far,but a very steep walk,there is a courtesy bus both there and back 3 or 4 times a day,excepting Sunday. I would stay there again,so thanks to everyone and especially Salome.
