Absolutely loved the hotel. The staff was amazing and so friendly, had the superior room and was huge and extremely clean. Breakfast lunch snacks and dinner was a wide range of foods to cover adults and children which I will need to go on a diet now. Entertainment throughout the day for adults and children with pool games and water aerobics. The Entertainment team was really amazing getting everyone join in. Loved waking in the morning to see the sunrise come over mount tiede while sitting on the balcony, would of been nicer with a coffee but hey.
Good morning,
This letter serves as a formal complaint regarding an incident that occurred this morning, July 22nd, concerning a waiter in the breakfast area
My parents arrived for breakfast prior to the rest of our party, as they needed to consume food before taking medication. We were following shortly behind them.
My parents, who do not speak English, requested a table for six, anticipating our arrival. The staff member, identified as Alicia, declined their request for a table of six, despite there being only two of them at that moment, which caused them considerable discomfort. Subsequently, two other individuals who requested a table for five were accommodated at a table of that size.
Could you please clarify if there is a specific policy or reason that led to my parents being treated in this manner? A particularly distressing aspect of this situation was the perceived rudeness and shouting from the staff member. We approached the server to request an apology to our parents. The server stated that she does not speak Polish, making an assumption about our ethnicity, which we found to be both upsetting and inappropriate. Furthermore, she declined to offer an apology even in English.
I believe such conduct is inappropriate when interacting with customers, and I would appreciate it if the staff member would offer an apology to my parents for her demeanor.
Best regards,
Irena Miniaylenko
I was a little sceptical about this hotel on reading the reviews and as we had never done an all inclusive before.
The hotel was spotlessly clean both in the rooms and communal areas. Reception and catering staff friendly and polite.
I deliberately upgraded our room knowing the kids would have opinions on an old fashioned one. The room was clean and functional if a little basic but more than met our needs throughout our stay.
The food was good. There were different options on the griddle each day- always a meat and fish option in addition to the other hot options. Yes there was always chips and pasta etc but when catering for families these are sensible options for kids. Always plenty of salad, fresh bread and fruit. It’s a shame that some abuse the buffet food and overfill plates which just don’t get eaten.
The all inclusive drink options were also good. Local alcohol. The main lager is san Miguel. Two cocktail options per day and sangria but the mixers for these are generally out of cartons so not the best but drinkable. I do like the fact you pay 1 euro for your cup as it reduces empties around the pool area and work for the staff.
Entertainment was a bit lacking especially activities older children/teens during the day. The event in entertainment was repetitive and basic. If there is any area for investment I would say this is it.
It was good to be able to use the facilities at all three hotels- bonanza, canarife palace and interpalace and no issue to move between them when lunch was served at Interpalace for the first few days of our stay.
Towels are now a 25 euro deposit per towel which has to be in cash. This is a bit of a downside as it means you end up with cash at the end of your stay but we realised this was going to be an issue and got a couple refunded early.
Is there a kettle in the room please
We have been given a dated room we old dirty musty carpets On the beach advertised at 4* the rating of this room is definitely not 4* we have asked to move to a room that meets 4* standards but we’re told we have to pay £30 per night extra
