Blue Sea Puerto Resort

Pros Got this as a short solo break with easyJet Staff at hotel all very nice and very helpful General areas very clean with lots of evidence of housekeeping Upgraded from single to double room which was huge , plus nice balcony /terrace area Room cleaned daily , bed made , fresh towels if wanted, toiletries there, plenty of hangers, bed very comfortable Pool nice and not packed open 10 to 6 Cons Food- all inclusive and I was half board. There's loads of choice at all meals but I found quality of food to be poor , using budget ingredients and often not properly hot. Restaurant more like a noisy work canteen - again staff all lovely Coffee from machine in the morning was appalling , bitter and weak. Another lady showed me a trick to ask for 2 x cappuccinos and only put cup under for selected parts of each brew - marginally better but still pretty bad. Pool - I'm used to an early morning swim and was disappointed I couldn't get in til later although I accept the need for a lifeguard to be present. Entertainment - unfortunately my upgraded room overlooked pool so I got the benefit of the dubious evening entertainment loudly at night. Did stop at 11pm. Not to my taste although others seemed to enjoy. I wasn't given the option of a quieter room when upgrading and it would have been nice to be asked Mini bar - not much point having one if nothing in it and no complementary water on arrival either plus no tea / coffee making facilities so couldn't get an early morning cuppa. Overall good value for money . Hotel on edge of outlying area so a pretty walk down to central Puerto but nice Would avoid all inclusive in future as food and entertainment not for me but may meet others expectations happily

The hotels (I say hotels as there were 3) were extremely clean you could smell the freshness as soon as you walked into reception. The cleaning team were cleaning all the time. Our room looked like it had been freshly painted. It was very big with a king size bed and a single. Plenty of storage. Only down side was the balcony looked out on to a wall although it was an end room so if you went to the end of balcony you overlooked the quiet area. The room was cleaned every day with fresh towels whenever you wanted. The corridors leading to the rooms looked like it was newly layed.
Food well what can I say after reading some reviews I wasn't expecting much. All I can say is the food variety presentation were excellent with staff refilling at all times. Restaurant staff very well mannered and helpful. Bar staff very polite and service was very good. Liked the idea of paying 1 Euro for your glass as it encouraged people to return them which ment tables were kept clear. Pool areas were washed down daily. It was lovely not having to rush to get a sunbed as there was plenty. Entertainment - very disappointing best night was the Lion King Show you could see that they put a lot of work into the performance. The resort is very nice with plenty of shops bars restaurants.To get to the beach is walkable although hilly. We walked both ways one day. There is a hotel courtesy bus that will take you and pick you up several times a day. Would we stay again the answer is a definite yes. Thanks to all the team for their hard work.
