Having an amazing location, this beautiful hotel is situated in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife. The spectacular volcanic beach of Playa Jardín with its black sand is just a couple of minutes’ walk away. In the surroundings, guests may find many restaurants, cafes and bars, which are perfect to spend a lovely evening having a delicious local meal or some drinks with friends. In the property, visitors can rest and relax by the side of the outdoor swimming pool or have a refreshing swim in it. The gym is a great place where to feel energised and active. The restaurants will receive them with open arms and offer them meals that will please all types of tastes. As well as the whole complex, the rooms have been perfectly decorated to create a cosy atmosphere with a combination of bright and warm tones. They are equipped with comfortable beds and all the essential amenities to have a pleasant stay.
I was a little nervous about going here after reading some of the reviews but I absolutely loved my week here.
I arrived late and there wasn't a bottle of water or any towels in the room but a quick trip to reception sorted this. The beds are a little hard but this didn't bother me after the first night. Everywhere was clean and comfortable. Shower was decent, as was the air con.
The pool wasn't freezing and there were enough sun beds. I had a good selection of drinks whilst there:-soft drinks, beer, rum, wine, sangria, local Baileys.
I got given a map of Puerto de la Cruz which was handy as I went our most days. Being near the bus station was handy too as I went on a couple of trips.
I agree the hotel is dated and there are a lot of cracked tiles in the lobby/restaurant and worn paint on bannisters but it didn't affect my stay.
There is limited daytime and evening entertainment but I particularly enjoyed the Spanish entertainment in the evening.
Food-I cannot understand people slating the food. I even heard some complaints when I was there. Some of the fruit was frozen and I did have a couple of broccoli dishes over the week that were cold but other than that I thought the food was great and I stayed all inclusive so was having lunch there too. Lots of fresh fruit, salad bar, freshly cooked meat and fish (some of the meat was a little chewy). I had a different paella every day and things like ham and cheese croquettes but they also had pasta, pizza, chips if you're desperate for them.
It would be good if the hotel offered a packed lunch for those on all inclusive if they're going out for the day.
I could see the hotel had taken other feedback onboard-there was music playing in the pool bar and the trees causing one end of the pool to be shaded had been cut down (which was a shame, I thought. All in all, a great stay and I would recommend it. If you're looking for a Brits abroad type holiday, it's not for you though. Mixed nationality clientele, quiet on the entertainment front
After reading the detrimental comments I was a bit apprehensive about going to this Hotel. I was pleasantly surprised! The hotel is a little dated but the staff are amazing, the hotel is super clean, the food is plentiful in choice and taste. Overall, this was a brilliant holiday and we WILL be back. Thank-you to everyone for making it so wonderful!
Firstly do not listen to the bad reviews. This is one of the cleanest friendliest hotels I've had the pleasure to stay at. We arrived near to the end of lunch time and asked if we would like to get something to eat before the restaurant closed. Perfect. Given our room on the 12th floor with the most amazing views of Mount teide and the beach wow. The staff were just amazing. On the second night all the bar staff knew our orders and didn't even have to ask. Receptionist always remembered our room number which considering the amount of guests was astonishing. The room was spotless cleaned everyday and stocked with clean towels and toilet rolls everyday. Pool area was great always got a bed. Big shout out to the barman at the pool too aways smiling as all the staff were. No issues whatsoever with our entire stay. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was great always options to chose from. I loved the mashed potato but it was only served on the Sundays it would be great to have it on a couple more days. If that's the only thing I can knock then hey. Thank-you be live for an amazing holiday we just loved every second .
We have today returned from be Live Adults Only. The negative reviews we read prior to coming were so unbalanced and so wrong.
The hotel is clean, the rooms are spotless , the food is hot and fresh at all meal times and the snack bar salads/sandwiches are a nice treat to usual snack bar food ! And of course the drinks on the All Inc are lovely.
We had room 606 which had a lovely sea view, perfect for watching the sun come and go down. There were no issues with the lifts, there were 3 in reception and 3 just around the corner for us all to use.
The main town is a very short walk 7-9 minute walk from the hotel so super accessible .
The staff at the hotel from check in, bar, Resturant, Cleaners were all so helpful and a special shout out to the Entertainment guy who struck the right and often difficult balance of being energetic but not wearing everyone out, plus the evening shows were definitely worth watching. We loved the Michael Jackson show.
We would stay here again and recommend to anyone. Some pics below of our stay.
Enjoy !
I arrived 25th June on my own, reception sent me to a dirty room at first. Went back to reception then I was sent to a clean room on 1st floor, room was good everything I needed to enjoy my holiday, balcony, comfy bed, towels, free shampoo, soap, hairdryer, mirrors, wardrobe, breakfast was a great choice, I changed my breakfast choice each day and fresh fruit too. Coffee free flowing. And fresh juice lovely. Pool was clean and I swam a lot, only downside towels on sunbeds but no people was using them! So struggling to get a sun-bed. I think the bar man should start removing towels off sinners after 1 hour of not returning definitely! Did pool aerobics with life guard that was good, bar lively of a night. Entertainment good too. When booking trips be aware of prices as I was ripped off 23 euro which another staff member refunded. If you don’t tip they are not happy, I tipped at end of holiday when I got paid from work while I was away on my holiday. Staff lovely, cleaned my room beautifully and if you pay for drinks you get a good Jack Daniel’s and coke. I would highly recommend this hotel and if you walk round the beach some beautiful views and history of Tenerife to learn, recommend Jeep safari, and a local beach picnic at night 7pm local supermarket sells all you need for your picnic. Beautiful watching sun set, and meeting local people too.
