We booked this for our honeymoon. As part of Bahia Principe’s “Privilege Club” and having been to other Bahia Principe Resorts, we were so excited to end off our honeymoon Europe travels with this highly rated Tenerife location! Yes, the location was amazing, such beautiful ocean views, 10 mins walk to the lovely historic town, plus a free train ride nearby to Loro Parque. The time we spent outside of the hotel (I can’t justly call this a ‘resort’) were so great! Anytime we spent on the property was quite sad unfortunately. The Buffet- you had to seated so there was always a line to get in, food options were always limited or completely empty, we thought the first few times was just our timing maybe just being on the later end of their serving hours, but even getting there within the first 10-20 mins, food is already limited as if they don’t refill options. The food you can get your hands on was close to always cold-almost warm or just bland and inedible. We ended up going to restaurants in the area. We did enjoy the coffee machines! Buttttt, coffee is only available inside the buffet hall for breakfast, no option at lunch even asking staff. The hotel claims they have 4 restaurants. 1 is the buffet hall, 2 is the cabana/bar outside where they serve drinks and sometimes have some croissants and chicken nuggets. 3 is a building that is sometimes subpar Italian food, 4 is the same building as 3 but they just changed the menu (the food was better on the Mediterranean night). Both nights the server forgot our order and it took over an hour and asking them when our food was coming out to get our starters. Once the food came out it was cold. This happened back to back nights with the same staff. The pools are fine, super shallow so definitely geared towards children. You never have to fight for a chair around the pool, which I see lots of reviews mention! That was nice, but it makes sense when you realize why people aren’t hanging out around the pools. The vibe of the place is old folks home with visiting grandchildren. Lots of naked seniors hanging out. Not super romantic. I should mention we looked through lots of reviews/reddit threads of this place and it’s rated sooo highly! Don’t get me wrong, we looked at the bad reviews too, but we definitely should’ve taken them more seriously. Now onto the room. We were lucky and got the newly renovated room, so it could’ve been worse (but that’s terrifying to imagine after being in ours for the week). The AC says it works, it doesn’t. We had someone come look at it since we couldn’t sleep and all he did was scan it and then say “it’s okay” and left without another word. The room was like a sauna, and it was much cooler in the hallways. The bathroom (especially the shower) smelled like a sewer, it was absolutely awful! But the worst part was the amount of cockroaches that were scurrying around our room. One morning, my husband woke up in a panic because one had crawled right up onto his cheek while he was sleeping. We managed to catch it under a cup after he flicked it off his face. The front desk told us that’s “how it is in Tenerife” and laughed it off. She said they would send staff to clear the room and do what they can to keep them out. The next morning at 5am we had 2 more. Photos below🫠 I could honestly say a lot more… we were so relieved to get out of there. STAY AWAY!!!
Visited in June 2026 with my mum. Everything about this holiday was amazing, never had to worry about finding a sunbed around the pool and food options everynight were different and never lacking in variety or amount of food. Eri, Blue and Maria were amazing every day and night on the entertainment side of things and were always a joy to see around the hotel. Will 100% be coming back.
The hotel was in an excellent position and the staff food and room was excellent
Lovel hotel nice staff and really good entertainment, Reception staff particularly good. Food really good there are two other restaurants, Italian and Mediteranian. Excellent pool area and gardens,
|A good hotel with excellent staff that were always friendly. The room was kept clean to a high standard. It is located on the sea front on the flat in a great position with a relaxed feel about it. The drinks were of a good quality as well as the food with plenty of choice. Would definitely return.
