Our 4-star Adult only Atlantic Mirage Suites & Spa opened on the 16th of December 2017 as a result from the complete refurbishment of the former 3-star Aparthotel Bellavista Mirador. The work took 8 months and meant an investment of 10 million Euros, consisting in the total renovation of the rooms and the general facilities, redesigning all the areas, including the elevating of the pool to street level, the transformation of the rooftop into a solarium terrace with a chill-out bar and the creation of brand new services like a complete and exclusive spa, a state-of-the-art gym, an indoor pool, an "haute cuisine" restaurant and a lounge bar. Our hotel means without a doubt a new model of hospitality in the destination.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Great hotel. The rooms are great-very big bed and large bedroom/bathroom. The view from the bedroom was amazing! The hotel was also immaculately clean and the cleaning staff did a great job daily. We stayed half board and found there to be a great selection at both breakfast and tea. A lot of the food is cooked fresh so it it’s hot and there is a great selection for meat free too. No subbed wars, probably due to the fact there was no sun our entire two week stay but the pool area is tidy and there’s a lot of sunbeds. The staff were all so nice, from reception, to restaurant staff, to bar and cleaners everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The only issue we found was the music on the rooftop bar (and occasionally around the pool) was AI! Please stop playing AI slop, even silence is better than AI music!
Just spent a week at this hotel. I never return to the same hotel twice as there’s so many out there to visit. But, The Atlantic Mirage will be the exception. It’s an excellent 4* hotel. It’s kept beautifully clean, staff are always friendly & helpful, the facilities are great, the food & drinks are of a super high standard. And the cliff views are breathtaking. Evening meals have been fresh cooked steak, rack of lamb, fresh salmon & local fish & seafood, fresh salads, pizzas & pasta, fruits & desserts. Breakfast is fresh juices, ground coffee, Buck’s Fizz, and such an abundance of choice. There was everything from caviar and smoked salmon, to fruits, cooked omelettes/eggs, bacon, beans, bakery items, meats & cheese. Too much to list. We want to give Manuel in the main restaurant a special mention, just for being an absolute delight every day that we saw him. This hotel is perfect for couples and adults looking for a luxury relaxing break. The atmosphere is tranquil, service is second to none, we loved the roof terrace in the afternoon for lunch, cocktails & jacuzzis, then the evening for a few drinks & music. We walked into the town on a number of days which is a bit of a journey with the steps back up, but we were glad to get our steps in. I’d highly recommend this excellent hotel. We’ll hopefully be back soon!
Another enjoyable stay at our favourite hotel in the La Paz area of Puerto de la Cruz. This was our third visit and the main attraction factor for us are the incredible views from the balcony (all rooms have the sea facing aspect). So you can sleep with the balcony doors open, to the sounds of the sea and the mysterious Cory's Shearwater birds that only seem to be heard at night.
As always, the staff do an excellent job of cleaning regularly and thoroughly. The complimentary bottle of water and red wine on arrival is very welcome. The reception staff are also very friendly, helpful and accommodating at all times, we found.
We booked breakfast and evening meal and were not disappointed with the quality of food and drink available, which is frequently replenished and it is appreciated that there is an inclusivity policy for those with food intolerances and vegetarian/vegan preferences. For improvement, a suggestion of a few more selections of yoghurt and milk varieties (Greek yoghurt and Kefir for example) could be added. I noted that nuts were not available but I understand that some guests may have allergies. All waiting staff were excellent and went above and beyond to make us feel special on our holiday at Atlantic Mirage.
Arrived 10 days break with daughter Easy jet holiday Hotel room 3rd floor junior suite lovely Hotel had left a meal for us in restaurant nice thought as arrived late after dinner
Roof terrace great cabana beds hot tubs x 3 Sometimes working!
Bar staff on roof terrace fantastic bar lunch meals really nice. Not a lot of beds on roof but always managed to find something. Roof bar in evening ok nice no other entertainment in hotel.
Swimming pool on 7th floor (entrance to hotel) Very nice lots of sun beds nice clean pool Very strange lifeguard took lots of pleasure in bagging up customers towels plus belongings if they left to get lunch on roof terrace and were away for more than an hour!! Even though there were loads of vacant beds probably 20 plus! With no one waiting I could understand if there was a shortage but there wasn’t!! Do be careful
Restaurant breakfast not great pancakes/crapes not great like rubber Cold buffet such as sausage beans bacon not great! Dinner not great need to look at quality over quantity didn’t enjoy Service not bad but be warned coffee machines go off at half 10 .30 sharp! Even if you’re waiting to use! Ridiculous Also notice outside not to remove food from restaurant as you will be charged, I saw many people making up rolls for lunch and taking pastries out I hope they did not get caught as they will charge you lol
The spa on the 6th floor absolutely fantastic could not fault try it the pools so good best €20 spent loved the flotation pool wish I had got weekly pass would highly recommend Quite a few power cuts/surge so internet went out in suite AC went off in room reception did not help! Very hot night Late check out no chance! Was told €40 ok but didn’t have room as a night flight not great did get shower in spa 30 mins in total but we managed The hotel lifts very small limited people in them inadequate for hotel and get stuck one day you will wait a long time for them Beach towel €10 per towel deposit €1 to change when required The weather was not great but found plenty to do in area be aware of the hill climb to return to hotel . Would I return no .
We had the most wonderful week here with family (8 of us). The reception staff could not have been more helpful, cheerful and accommodating. The Junior Suite was beautiful. Large large bed and very comfortable. Shower was amazing with coloured lights. Plenty of room for clothes, although long dresses were a problem. The balcony with its little clothes line was lovely with a stupendous view. Food at breakfast was plentiful and varied, I think every taste was covered. The maid came every day to clean and replace towels and mid week the bed linen. We needed extra pillows and an iron and board which was immediately seen to. We had a problem with the patio door not locking and when we came back in the afternoon the mechanism had been fully replaced. It was quite a walk down the steps to town (I am 80) so the 5-6 euros for a taxi was cheap and welcome. The La Paz area around the hotel had some superb restaurants and lovely for a stroll in the evening if we didn’t want to go to town. The Hotel was lovely and peaceful and the pool area very relaxing. We would all without a doubt recommend this Hotel. My only request would be that on the odd evenings we were early to our rooms, it would have been nice to have Netflix or something similar as our Spanish is virtually non existent to understand Spanish television!! A memorable holiday which our family organised and treated me for my 80th birthday and we hope to return in the not too distant future. Thank you Atlantic Mirage xxx
