Ignore the bad reviews – a fabulous 4-star stay with amazing value
We booked a one-week all-inclusive holiday including flights through Lastminute.com for around £1,300. Having read some negative reviews beforehand, we were a bit nervous, but those worries quickly disappeared. This hotel is fabulous, and the facilities clearly justify its 4-star rating. Food & Drinks The food was hot, tasty, and served throughout the day. My only minor critique is that leftover hot breakfast items are moved to the snack bar after breakfast—I'm not sure keeping them warm for that extended period is ideal. However, the afternoon snacks made fresh to order were great (burgers, chips, hot dogs, salad, and cakes). The all-inclusive package is very generous, featuring three separate bars and including branded premium spirits like Smirnoff and Gordon’s. Rooms & Cleanliness The hotel is exceptionally clean overall. The rooms are clean and modern, and while the air conditioning units are on the older side, they are fully functional. Housekeeping staff were always polite, friendly, and hard at work. Staff & Service While housekeeping was fantastic, the bar staff generally let the side down a bit—many came across quite grumpy. The exceptions were a few of the girls and a young chap named Pablo, who were lovely and provided great service. Facilities & Pool The main pool area could do with some minor maintenance, as quite a bit of the painted lining is chipped, but it didn't ruin our enjoyment. Entertainment & Hotel Concept (TUI Club Lookea) The entertainment receives a lot of criticism online, but there is important context to understand: the hotel operates as a TUI Club Lookea destination. This is a French-branded holiday concept, meaning activities and entertainment are primarily presented in French for French-speaking guests who pay a high premium for the service. While non-French guests aren't excluded, the language barrier is obvious. We did notice some rude behavior from some of these holidaymakers at mealtimes—pushing in front of queues (even ahead of children) and hoarding food (like one guest taking six steaks at once!). Despite the minor downsides with pool paint and language dynamics, the overall experience and value for money were outstanding. We would definitely recommend it!

Exceeded My Expectations
This hotel exceeded my expectations. It is beautiful, modern, newly renovated, and surprisingly spacious. Even though the hotel is quite large and there are many guests, everything feels very well organized and runs smoothly.
The rooms are spacious, beautiful, modern, and exceptionally clean. The dining area is also very spacious, and even when it is full of people, it never feels chaotic or overcrowded. The staff are efficient and everything is kept clean and well maintained. There is no mess or confusion anywhere, and the whole hotel has a very organized and well-managed atmosphere.
Overall, I was really impressed with the quality, cleanliness, and how smoothly everything works despite the size and number of guests. A really beautiful hotel that definitely exceeded my expectations.
Fantastic stay! Can’t fault it!
Arrived 30 minutes before check in so was told I could leave my bags at reception and go for lunch! After lunch our room was ready with a plate of fruit for us! Room was grand with good size balcony! Pool area is large with plenty sun beds pool side and more up some stairs on another level that are a bit quieter! Restaurant was great, plenty variety and always fresh meat getting cooked. Room cleaned every day to a high standard. Don’t believe anyone saying you get treated differently if you speak English, some staff find it difficult to understand you but always persevere to try to. Would definitely stay again and return with the kids! Nice beach 5 minutes walk away and loro park 10 minutes walk away!
Lack of interaction
I previously wrote a review on this hotel, back on May. There were positives and negatives. I am very surprised that for a hotel if this size, and given the amount of staff behind reception/check in desks, none of them can be bothered to acknowledge my review - whether positive or negative. Not only mine, but they never seem to acknowledge any reviews. I think this just sums up a “couldn’t care less attitude, we’ve had your money, get on with it”

Alua hotel review
I’ll start with the positives, the room service staff was great, the food hall staff were great, bartenders and amazing and the staff overall are pretty friendly, quick and make you feel welcome. The negative is directed mainly at my room, obviously I can’t speak for all the rooms. However we had ant like insects which were in our room and could see them by the sink, floor and on some tables(before we had any food in the room) but made it uncomfortable for my partner and I to eat in our apartment style room. The staff used insect spray in the room the next day and it was sorted but was still unpleasant. The electronic safe wouldn’t open twice and we had to call reception to sort it out too but overall was a fairly good hotel. This is just my experience, I would go back again but I know what to look out for with future visits.
