Fantastic Stay with Great Facilities, A Few Tweaks Would Make It Truly 5-Star!
We’ve just returned from a lovely week-long stay at this hotel. Overall, we had a fantastic time! To help future travelers, I’ve broken down our experience into what we loved and a few areas where the hotel could improve.
What We Loved Rooftop Suite: Extremely spacious and beautifully designed! The bedroom and sofa area can be separated by two doors, which was fantastic for privacy. The bathroom was a highlight—featuring both a rainfall shower and a massive bathtub. Pools & Privileged Upgrade: We paid for the Privileged upgrade, giving us access to 4 different pools. The family pool area is exceptionally well thought out, with plenty of sun loungers placed directly around the slides and main water area so you can keep an eye on the fun.
Food & Dining: The food quality was brilliant—everything tasted freshly cooked and well-prepared.
Kids’ Club & Entertainment: The animation team and kids' club were a massive hit with our 7-year-old. The staff were wonderfully friendly and kept the kids engaged throughout.
The Spa: Absolute bliss! It was so peaceful and quiet. In fact, we were surprised it wasn't busier—when we visited, we had the whole place to ourselves!
Areas for Improvement (To Reach a True 5-Star Standard)
Poolside Service: There is usually only one staff member covering the pool area (between the Daisy truck and the Sunset Bar). Because they also have to clear away used cups around the sun loungers, the drinks truck ends up unattended for 10–15 minutes at a time, meaning you can't get a drink during those periods. Extra staffing here would make a huge difference.
Snack Selection: While you can grab crisps and nuts from the food trucks, adding options like soft-serve ice cream or a wider variety of light bites would really elevate the guest experience.
À la Carte Reservations: As mentioned in other reviews, the specialty restaurants fill up very quickly. We were only able to book one visit to each during our entire week.
Early Morning Water Access: A self-service ice and water dispenser available before 11:00 AM would be a huge help. When heading out early on day trips, we had to rely on the cold water from our mini-bar to fill our water bottles because the poolside bars weren't open yet. Since the mini-bar is only restocked every two days, having an accessible water station is definitely needed.
Final Thoughts: We had a wonderful holiday and would certainly recommend it, especially for families. With just a few operational tweaks to poolside service and restaurant booking availability, this place could easily be a seamless 5-star resort!

We stayed in July we were privilege, the rooms are all the same but it is nice to get the extra resturant and pool. Rooms are beautiful, with nice bathrooms. We had a great view of the sea. The kids pool is busy (to be expected) but a nice selection of pools. The privilege rooftop pool is beautiful. You get a towel for the pool in your room which needs to be exchanged if you want a fresh towel. All drinks are bar service no waiters/waitresses at the pools. The food is good, Buffett is fine, Italian and American were nice, the privilege restaurant is excellent you have to be organised to get the booking you want for all restaurants except the Buffett. The staff seemed quite manic even though it wasn’t full, all very friendly and polite all the same. Drinks were good and cocktails were nice. The bar in the evening was very manic and a very long wait for a drink. We only went to the theatre once which was fine and we didn’t use the kids clubs. I purchased the birthday celebration for my daughter which was lovely. My only issue was with cockroaches we had in the room, we had quite a few but they did agree to move our rooms in the end, however there was no manager and it was all rather disjointed in getting this sorted.

Another great experience at H10
This is was our third visit to H10 Atlantic sunset. As a family of four, our main aim was one of relaxation and minimal stress. The hotel and all the staff really looked after us and accommodated my wife who needs a special gluten-free diet due to coeliacs.
We stayed with the Privilege package and took advantage of the great food and staff in the lounge. The other restaurants were also good and we enjoyed a variety of meals during our stay.
