Great hotel, great food, spotlessly clean. One of the few hotels we’ve stayed in that we would actually return to. Special thanks to Manuel from guest relations for arranging the birthday decorations and celebrations for my wife. If you went above and beyond, I’m very grateful he made my wife very happy.
Lovely food, lovely staff , fabulous atmosphere.
Great food, great service highly recommend.
Fantastic time. Staff are attentive and genuine
1 week stay with husband and friends. We stay in a lot of all inclusives and this didn't live up to other expectations.
Hotel overall was lovely, modern and clean. On arrival we were offered a glass of bubbly which excited us but then we were made to take our cases to our rooms ourselves which doesn't happen at a lot of other 5 star hotels. The hotel has 3 pools and lots of sun beds, we never struggled to get 4 sun beds together but we did go out of season. Our room was great, clean and spacious, lots of storage space and the balcony felt huge so was lovely to chill on.
We often described the hotel as 'controlled fun' whilst there, there were too many rules and restrictions for our liking. Firstly, don't bother taking a floaty with you as you aren't allowed one unless you are in the kids pool, so no floating and reading for anyone 'due to safety reasons'. You cannot have a drink by the pool also, not even on the edge or you get told off. It often felt that staff were more concerned with making sure rules were followed than the guests having a good time.
There were not enough places to get drinks in the hotel at all. There was not enough water on offer to guests too and the mini-bar was only refilled every other day so we ran out of water quickly. It would make much more sense to give guests bottles of water when they need it rather than just small cups. The main pool bar opened at 10 and closed at around 6pm, you couldn't be at the pool late or you wouldnt be able to hydrate enough. We were constantly queuing for drinks, sometimes we would be gone from the pool for about 15 minutes just to get a drink compared to other resorts we have been to where they bring drinks to you.
The evening entertainment was inside in a windowless theatre, only one evening was it outside (which was amazing) but we didn't want to be stuck inside on nice evenings. The lobby bar always had a performer in the evenings which was a nice background vibe. Drinks at the Lobby/Dome bar were the best, pool bar drinks were still good but when served in a plastic cup it feels cheaper. All drinks were proper branded spirits which I loved and I did drink a lot of Cava which I would recommend.
We had some issues with our room but mentioned these to reception and they were immediately rectified which we were impressed with their customer service. Some staff in other areas of the hotel weren't as willing to help or provide us with the right information. We did love the robot hoovers/cleaners which were cleaning the hallways though and it certainly added to the modernity of the hotel.
We ate at 2 a la cartes whilst there, highly recommend the American Route 66 restaurant as we thought that was delicious. The main buffet was great everyday, maybe a bit too much seafood for my liking but I know others enjoyed that. You were told you had to book every meal on the app which took away the relaxtion for us as we were then planning things in too much detail to make sure we made the bookings even just for the buffet. Most times we went to the buffet it wasn't busy so it annoyed us that we had to book that in the first place!
In terms of location it is a bit out of the way but we preferred that. We hopped on the bus just outside the hotel on a couple of the days to get to the central areas and got the bus back, that was all easy. We walked the local area too, even to the local mall. It was a quick transfer from the airport too which helped. It terms of noise, we didn't notice much of it, just some music travelling from the Hard Rock Hotel across the road. but not to a disturbing level.
Overall, it was a lovely holiday but the rules and restrictions on everything kept us from having as much fun as we would have like to have.
