Perched on a cliff, overlooking the beautiful sea and La Gomera Island, this magnificent holiday resort offers an ideal base to spend a relaxing time in a unique location. Adeje town centre is a 10-minute drive away, while the famous tourist zone of Playa de las Américas lies at 14km distance from the hotel. Being an ideal spot for families, the hotel presents a charming Mediterranean décor and feature spacious and comfortable rooms with modern facilities such as air-conditioning, a satellite TV for guests' entertainment and a private balcony. Some of the rooms offer a stunning sea view as well. Travellers who stay in this resort may sample different flavours from around the world, including typical Spanish dishes as well as delicious International cuisine. Guests may spend their day on the sparkling outside pool, enjoying some water sports on the beach or pamper themselves with a range of relaxing massages and beauty treatments offered by the spa.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We travelled to this hotel as a group of three friends sharing one room. Our trip was in mid August for five nights. The hotel was brilliant and we really enjoyed our relaxing stay. We spent the majority of our time by the pool and we were anlways able to find a sunbed. It did not feel like the hotel was full although there were plenty of people around.
The food was lovely. We felt that there was plenty of variety at each meal time. We did hear some people criticising elements of the buffet but there were various live cooking options at dinner every night and it’s important to remember that there are certain foods which just don’t lend themselves to a buffet style restaurant! Everything we ate was fresh and tasted good. We were also impressed with the range of drinks available within the all inclusive allowance.
Our room was suitable for three people. The bed separated in two and the third person slept on the sofa bed. Before we travelled to the hotel, we knew that the bathroom had no door and we knew that the glass wall of the shower was looking into the room with a blind which could be pulled down to cover it. This wasn’t ideal as a group of three friends but, as I say, we knew this was going to be the case and were therefore prepared. We did string up a towel to sit between the window and the blind as when the light was on you could still see the shadow of the person in the shower without it. It does seem like an unusual design but my understanding is that such a setup is more common in Europe than in the UK!
The hotel is in a very quiet area which suited us and, again, we knew this before we visited. We did catch the public bus into the resort one day but, other than that, we stayed by the pool. There is no beach within walking distance.
Only other comment I would have about the hotel and pool area is the location of the bathroom. When using the sunbeds or the pool, the bathroom option are either in the main lobby or around the back of the pool bar where you have to walk through people sitting on the terrace of the Gofio restaurant. Neither seemed ideal to be passing through whilst wearing swimwear!
We would definitely return to this hotel for a quiet, relaxed stay.
Wonderful hotel and staff. We had a wonderful relaxed week. The choice of food was absolutely amazing. I am coeliac and the gluten free options were excellent. The staff were great and very attentive. The cocktails were class as were the bar staff. You could get a bed by the pool no matter what time you arrived . The evening entertainment was very professional. Favourite act was B&B. We will definitely be back.
From our 1st steps into the Bahia Principe hotel the level of professionalism & cleanliness was outstanding … Rooms , pool , Restaurants Fantastic All Staff were so friendly & helpful . Would highly recommend & will Definitely love to come back ☀️
I went here solo for a rest and recuperation 4 day trip and it was exactly that! The hotel was immaculate in all areas! The room was comfortable and clean! The pools were great! As a CrossFit girl, the gym was amazing! The staff were so nice and helpful! The food was good! The bars were great! Couldn’t fault it! I guess if you’re looking for a “beach” holiday or a holiday packed with things to do then it’s not the right place but that’s due to location not the hotel! I would definitely go back! ☀️
I really enjoyed my stay. However, there are a few things that you should be aware of that I wish I knew before coming. If overcrowded staff can be really bad we had a situation where it took us an hour to get our food at the snack bar for lunch and it resulted in to staff workers to start arguing with each other about which order was whose. As well as that finding a sun lounge I was really impossible on the days where it was very busy and staff was quite rude to us when I asked for drinks due to the fact they couldn’t understand that we were speaking English. I know this seems like quite a negative review but the rest of the hotel was lovely and we really enjoyed our time here. We might not have saved this long next time as the buffet was quite repetitive going to the same place for every single dinner meal. Is there more options at dinner time such as the other Car option so that I didn’t have to eat the buffet every single night package might have felt a bit more worth it
