This sublime beach hotel enjoys a stunning location on the vibrant island of Tenerife. The airport is just about 15 to 20 minute-drive away. The hotel is situated just across the promenade from a pristine sandy beach. Guests will find a selection of shops, bars and restaurants nearby, while the Magma Convention Centre is located at a walking distance. The hotel is the ideal choice for thrill and pleasure seekers alike, with an abundance of leisure and recreational facilities for guests to enjoy. Business guests are able to host meetings, conferences and other private events in the property. The rooms are cheerfully decorated in a light-hearted style, creating a calming ambience in which to relax and unwind in comfort at the end of the day.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Just been to troya. And previously sister hotel galla. Next door. Overall id say troyya in my opion is the better option. For a 4 star hotel (budget version ). It's great for your £. Kids get daily put on pool activities. Ranging from foam parties - inflatable slides. The location is great in the sence it's right on the front. Turn right for adjee. And left for las americas. Eventhough the clubs are very close. I personally like to here the music though. Close the door to room. And its quite with aircon cool air. Allthough they are a little small. But their is the 360 panaromic experience if required. The food is varied and edible. But im a bit of a food snob..I enjoy the half board option. So for evening..I can dine were and how I like. All staff are bilingual very approachable with great personal attention to detail. Espicilly the bar staff. The hotel is very well maintained and clean. And most importantly for a fammily holiday it's safe. In the evening. One way in and out. With security on the barrier. Bus and taxi pickup from safe area. Their is a spar to entertain the wife and usualy an evening entertainment option. if you so wish. From elvis - magician. The shows were in english or spanish. Due to the performers. All in all hotel with great commuter links. On the beach. Secure for a great budget price. Wirh 4 star facilities. If you pay the extra bit. If give it a go. I enjoyed it for 11 days.
Have to say this place is a let down. I will start with the positives. It's a great location, the view is great, and the rooms are comfortable. The air con works, the swimming pool is lovely and warm and you can even get a sunbed around 845 -900i will mention some neutral points. Yes it's noisy, but if you've been here before, you will know that, and it can be a bit annoying being pestered by lucky lucky men. But again, enough reviews mention this. It's lively outside, it's not for those looking for high Spanish culture. It's a typical euro-resort and I don't mind that one bit. Entertainment in the hotel is very typical of this kind of hotel. Not great but it's perfectly acceptable.
Hotel is a mix of many nationalities.
However I do need to mention some negatives. The all inclusive food is too limited, I've been in smaller places that offer far more. It's a big let down , but the worst aspect is the dinner and tea servings. You have to get drinks brought to you, and too few staff take drink orders. It really should have self service machines. This smacks of the company trying to control the amount of drink given out. It's also a mixed offer hotel and not fully all inclusive, and they don't use wristbands. You have to carry a card and if you're over two rooms, you'll need to show both at mealtimes.
The seating is a bit of a mess at dinnertime as well. Especially for larger groups. Groups of 2 will take a table of 4 or 6 without consideration. It needs controlling by someone organising it
There can be big queues for the grilled meats, which aren't put out unlike the rest of the food. Feels very much like controlling behaviour by the hotel. So it's all a bit of a mess in the restaurant. I've seen it done far better at other hotels. They need a major rethink about the restaurant.
The other issues are too few lifts. One seems to be permanently broken and it makes for a sometimes very long time to get back upstairs.
There seems to be enough staff, but they don't work efficiently from the way they keep chopping and changing jobs. It can take ages to get a drink at the bar with this. After going in a hotel abroad dominated by US tourists and seeing the staff work so hard at that one, I would imagine that Americans would not like this hotel.
.
We stayed 11th July to 18th under a package holiday with easy jet. We arrived around 2pm the staff welcomed us gave us an upgrade due to the room we booked was not available, room was super clean and tidy our balcony looked over the sea, no complaints here. The amenities were good, spa, gym, kids area, ping pong and snooker, the location is amazing close to everything you need and could want to do, pools were lovely we spent most off our time at the infinity pool. My only criticism I had is the food, it isn’t great very limited. I did speak with the Mr Florin he is a lovely guy he listened to our concerns regarding the food selection, but sadly we didn’t feel it changed much, breakfast not an issue mainly evening food. I would anlso like to say the evening entertainment was good, drinks are very good selection, all staff were very friendly and helpful! we would definitely re visit the hotel!
Overall the hotel is really nice and a good location if you’d like to go out at night or venture out in the day. Unfortunately there were downsides to the hotel rooms air con which was very very noisy and non existent. The all inclusive buffet was a big disappointment. It was very small, and put simply the worst food we’ve ever eaten. On our last day baring in mind our pick up was at 4:45pm and we arrived late on our first day, they told us our all inclusive had to be finished at 12pm and we had to pay for the rest of our drinks whilst there.
Got back today and generally disappointed. As soon as got there at reception staff didn’t greet you or acknowledge you had to wait and didn’t tell you anything about hotel. Mainly catered For Spanish. Just one bar open outside. Room service wasn’t replenished. No staff smiled and un helpful. Food was poor and worst all inclusive I have known and ended up Eating out most days and any additional Snacks wanted had to pay for. And check out it at 12 and additional drinks had to Be paid for and voucher for lunch - no THANKYOU keep it! Location was in centre noisy dirty and got Offered drugs. Very disappointed And would not recommend Here at all and even we Wouldn’t go back to Tenerife Because Of experience
