This sublime beach hotel enjoys a stunning location on the vibrant island of Tenerife. The airport is just about 15 to 20 minute-drive away. The hotel is situated just across the promenade from a pristine sandy beach. Guests will find a selection of shops, bars and restaurants nearby, while the Magma Convention Centre is located at a walking distance. The hotel is the ideal choice for thrill and pleasure seekers alike, with an abundance of leisure and recreational facilities for guests to enjoy. Business guests are able to host meetings, conferences and other private events in the property. The rooms are cheerfully decorated in a light-hearted style, creating a calming ambience in which to relax and unwind in comfort at the end of the day.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Location and staff amazing , Restaraunt staff couldn’t do enough for you
Got here at 12 midday, but room wasn't ready till 2pm ,so had a drink in the bar. Room lovely , no complaints at all . Dining room , plenty of tables , staff very hostile, didn't smile much Food, plenty of choice , only 1 cooking station , always a queue, had water with a meal , the fizzy drinks bottles were only small so my glass was only 3" full. And for some reason they never come back to you to ask if you want another drink. Pools, I have a problem with splashing , so the adult only infinity pool was a heaven sent , plenty of sunbeds , lovely bar, but only 1 ladies and 1 gents toilets . Entertainment was good , but we seemed to be sat waiting a lot . Drinks from the outside bar there is always a queue and u have to give them your room card to order , never done this before always had a wristband . The maid came every day, even if we'd got the do not disturb sign up . This is a nice hotel , but the area outside the hotel was a bit rough , we crossed to the beach and went on the train to the golden mile for shops. We were on the 4th floor and could hear music on the strip with our door closed . We had a lovely holiday but sorry to say would not return.
Great location right on the beach. Rooms are nice but air con wasn’t the greatest. Air con is non existent in reception and restaurant too. Shower flowed hot and cold so be careful especially if you have little ones. Infinity pool was lovely but spoilt with the amount of people smoking! The pools should be a no smoking areas, in my opinion. Food in restaurant wasn’t the greatest, not always hot and lots of the same stuff every day lunch and dinner, but always find pizza, pasta etc.. Desserts are poor and tasteless not much choice. The mats on the tables are disgusting and absolutely stink, the cutlery is on these - it’s a breeding ground for bacteria, yuk, they need to remove these asap! We saw a cockroach near the ice cream bowls but it scuttled off when someone went near it, I know it’s a hot country but put us off. Mixture of Brits and mainly Europeans - Brussels sprouts and mixed veg at breakfast and ‘ham’ instead of bacon made us chuckle! Definitely catering for Spanish/Germans. No problem with sunbeds if you’re up early. Not 4 star but a good 3 star I’d say. Would I go back again? Probably if the price was right and they got rid of the dinner mats and smoking at poolside!
The hotel is not bad overall, but there is definitely room for improvement. Unfortunately, the room cleaning service was not of a high standard. The toilet seat had visible black marks on it, which certainly did not give us a feeling of cleanliness. There was also often an unpleasant sewage smell coming from the bathroom.
However, our biggest disappointment was the way our last day was handled.
When we arrived at the hotel, it was already after dinner service had ended. The staff gave each of us a sandwich and a couple of pieces of fruit, which we appreciated.
On the second-to-last day of our stay, we asked at reception whether it would be possible to have lunch instead of dinner on our final day, as we would be leaving before dinner time. The receptionist told us, “Yes, of course.”
So, on our last day, we went to the restaurant for lunch and sat down at a table. A member of staff came over and asked for our room card. We explained that we didn’t have it with us. She then went to reception and came back telling us, rather rudely, that we had to pay €22 per person for lunch — €66 in total.
My husband went to reception to clarify the situation, but we were simply told that yes, we had to pay.
At that point, we were so disappointed by the way the situation was handled that we got up and left.
The issue itself was not even about the €66 — it was about the fact that we had specifically asked at reception in advance and were told that it would be possible. If we had been informed beforehand that there would be an additional charge, we could have made a different arrangement. The lack of communication and the rude way the situation was handled left a very unpleasant final impression of our stay.
I went with my 4 years old son and my mum for 8 days at the end of August. We went with Jet2, so transfer from the airport dropped us on. The reception staff - (I think the manager) helped out as one person was being served, so he tried avoid our wait… we have been told that the room is not ready and we have been offered to leave suitcase in there till 2pm. It was around 11.30, so we have decided to check the pool. Pool was very full - no sunbeds available, so we decided to check the beach which was literally across the road - so close!! we also went to Mcdonald’s for lunch (next to the hotel) as we had inly half board anyway.
At 2pm , we got a room keys and went to our accommodation. We have been surprised - the room looked absolutely fabulous, very nice and stylish simple look and bathroom as well (pictured). After a bit of unpacking and wondering around, we went to dinner . The dining room matched style of the hotel (lobby, rooms etc) and was also very stylish, clean and everything looked as new. Staff friendly, even when really busy - I mean VERY busy. and OMG … the food was exceptional. We have been in so many countries and hotels before and we agreed that this hotel had the best food! Every day it was different choice and part was “based” on different country as well as others dishes … So, we have been very pleased with the hotel.
We went to different beaches in area (and by local bus). We could not use the popular scooters as we had my son with us, otherwise we would be riding on it too as they have been everywhere. There were local sightseeing train, which we did not used but heard it is good. There is plenty local stores with various stuff as well as small Spar (5mins walk) to get fresh baguettes, cheese and ham …
The hotel gardens are all tidy and very nice, we could not visit the over 18 pool (as had my little one with us anyway).
Overall we have been very happy, we just been a bit annoyed by tourists “reserving” their pool spots by putting their towels on sunbeds (but i guess is everywhere like that, but hotel should do something about it). Also, the entertaining team was always starting late and not interacting with guests as we had in other hotels. The evening entertainment was pretty much all the same - singing 🙄.
The noise was until late evenings and some days, noise from other clubs was disturbing our sleep, so if you are very light sleeper- you might don’t like it …
we would definitely come again to this hotel!!!
