Absolutely brilliant

Currently here now. This place is absolutely stunning!! So clean and kept on top of aswell. Every day we've seen the cleaners early am then around 11pm cleaning again all round the pool area. Reception brilliant humour and friendly. Drinks on site are abit expensive but nothing stopping you taking your own drinks to the pool area providing isnt glass . They put us up in a superior 2 bedroom. Apartment..stunning and modernised. Pool view..sea view. Brilliant how they allow floaties on one side of the pool..kids pool area brilliant aswell lifeguards speak good English too. Not one them places where you feel out of place.. so relaxing and friendly . Cant wait to return in the future hopefully I can request the room im in now. Hands down the hotel have done everything they can and outdone my expectations.

Great Location

We arrived around 13:30 but unfortunately were unable to check in until 15:00. One of the main negatives for us was the pool area, as the sunbeds were far too close together and it often felt like you were virtually on top of one another. There was also a bit of a “sunbed war” when the pool opened at 9am, with some guests reserving beds and not returning until the afternoon. The tiny little iron boards provided in the apartment were also pretty much a waste of time.

Apart from these points, we had a fantastic stay. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and our apartment was absolutely spotless. The location is fabulous, with both the beach and a great selection of restaurants within easy reach.

The pool areas are also thoughtfully split into an adults-only area, a family area and a children’s play area, which was amazing and made the complex suitable for everyone.

Overall, the positives far outweigh the negatives. These are lovely apartments, offering great value for money, and we would highly recommend staying here. We are returning on 3rd October with our daughter & her family.

Stay for a Family of 4 - Brilliant

A pleasantly surprising stay at Parque Santiago III

Just arrived home after a week at Parque Santiago III, and I have to say, we were pleasantly surprised! I’ll be completely honest — I was really apprehensive before arriving, having read some of the reviews beforehand. However, our experience was nothing like some of the horror stories I’d read, and we had a brilliant week.

Check-in: Check-in isn’t until 3pm, so if you’re arriving on an early flight, be prepared to leave your cases in the luggage holding room and head out for lunch. Alternatively, pack your swimsuits, sun cream and towels at the top of your case because you can actually use the hotel’s facilities while you wait for your room to be ready. This was news to us, so I thought it was definitely worth mentioning!

Our room: We booked a one-bedroom apartment for a family of four and were allocated a travel cot, while the sofa pulled out into a bed, so everyone had somewhere to sleep. We were given the tallest room in the tallest tower… with a 2-year-old! 😂 This meant navigating a few steps with the pushchair every day/night, but it really didn’t cause us any issues. There’s a little landing area between some of the stairs, plus a lift down to the pool area and between the main floors of our block, which made things much easier.

The room itself was spotless. Fresh towels were provided daily, bins were emptied every day and the beds were really comfortable.

There’s no air conditioning, which I was initially worried about, but the ceiling fan was more than adequate. In fact, I even ended up getting the big blanket out of the wardrobe at one point! 🤣

My only real issue was the induction hob — I couldn’t work the thing for the LIFE of me! 😂 But this certainly didn’t spoil our stay, and there are plenty of other options for eating when staying self-catering. The staff are most helpful, I just couldn't be bothered to ask for help (Also got me completely out the kitchen for a week!)

The sunbed situation: I’d also say the infamous “sunbed wars” are perhaps a little more scaremongering than reality. Yes, people do go down early and wait for the pool area to open — guilty member over here! 🙋🏼‍♀️ — but it really wasn’t the mad rush I had been expecting.

There were always plenty of sunbeds available throughout our stay. On our first day, we didn’t even get down to the pool until around 4pm and there were still some prime spots available!

Overall: We had a brilliant week at Parque Santiago III. For a self-catering holiday, we felt the hotel met most, if not all, of our needs.

I’m really glad we didn’t let the odd negative reviews put us off, and I’d happily return. Sometimes you really do have to experience somewhere for yourself! ☀️🌴

1st stay at the Parque Santiago III

Just returned from a 7 night stay at the Parque Santiago III This is our 8th trip to Playa del las Americas, we wanted a hotel with a more relaxed pool area for children, which allowed inflatables.

We booked directly with the hotel and was relived to find out that we had a updated room - with air conditioning, our studio was in the main reception block facing the golden mile, couldn't hear any noise from the bars or restaurants. The location is good, staff work hard to keep the areas clean. Our room was cleaned everyday, with clean towels provided. Staff at the front desk were helpful too. We have always loved the supermarket directly opposite the hotel - it's always well stocked and clean.

We found out before our trip that the main pools were salt water, googles are a must for children. It's strong so we all went prepared. However the kids pool area and slides is chlorine, which is a welcome relief.

Overall we would stay at the hotel again, despite the salt water, the morning queue (rush at 9am) to get a few sunbeds together and knowing we would stay in an updated studio with air con.

Overall enjoyable.

Location exceptional. Atmosphere fabulous around the hotel. We had a refurbed room so we cannot complain, two single beds pushed together in a double bedroom for a family of 3 which was a bit of a hindrance. Requested a cot but had to remind staff as we didn’t have it the first night. Cleaners come in everyday place is spotless. Our room was facing the golden mile so its noisy, and lots of noise above us, also a leak in the room where we could hear water dripping along the walls during the night. Just an FYI the pools are salt water- which absolutely burn the eyes off of you. A big let down for us. The kids area- life guard basically sits back and the kids run riot. We have a smaller boy and it was mayhem we had to keep him in the adult pools with us as it was a tad unsafe for him with how manic it was. The one elevator in the hotel which is small if you have a buggy/big family has been broken for a few days which isn’t ideal to get to your room taking the stairs carrying kids and buggies. Staff around the hotel are friendly and overall a nice experience but I’m questioning whether we would come back to stay here to be honest especially for what you pay for it as we are staying for 10 days. And we as a family wouldn’t think twice about paying a sum of money for something we enjoy. I think more so for older children around 8/9/10 that can manage the slides themselves etc.
