- Tenerife Holidays
- Playa de Las Americas
- Mediterranean Palace

This hotel is located Playa de las Américas, Spain. Sitting next to a golden sand and crystal water beach. It has a good location being only 15 kilometres distance from the Tenerife Sur airport. Nearby attractions as commercial centres, Golf clubs or aquatic parks are alternatives of entertainment for travellers.
This magnificent hotel is ideal for family vacation as it offers a vast number of activities to join when stay in. A nice large pool as well as a childrens pool, where guests can either take a dip to cool off or lounge around whilst soaking up the warm sun on the surrounding sunbeds. The hotel also features an on-site gym and spa centre offering treatments at a fee for a sense of relaxation. Mediterranean Palace offers a range of dining options including a buffet restaurant, pool bar and sports bar.
Comfortable, spacious and ait-conditioned rooms with lovely views will charm all visitors when stay. All guestrooms are equipped with a TV, hair dryer, telephone, fridge rental and safe at no extra cost, 24 h room service and free WiFi during your stay.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Lovely hotel, clean and friendly staff from which we encountered.
The food however we were really disappointed with the quality and options at the all inclusive. I know sometimes these things are hit or miss however we only received one hot dinner from the times we choose to go maybe just unlucky. The food was barely warm when we decided to go. The options were quite repetitive compared to other 4&5 star hotels we have previously stayed in. As a family hotel I would have thought there would be a dedicated kids area for food too. I did think it was strange that none of the snack bar snacks are included in the all inclusive - I get sometimes paying extra for things not a problem but all food had to be paid extra for - it ment having to get changed if you want lunch in the lunch hall rather than just sitting about the pool or snack area having a quick bite.
Rooms were clean we were third floor looking over the golden mile - I had read it was loud and we had a toddler however was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t loud the times we stayed obviously this is out with the hotels control but the noise was fine so that didn’t put us off.
The hotel is a fantastic location.
Kids club was nice however I think small reviews - not because of the staffing but the ages, our daughter was just under 4 and had to be in the 0-3y group which is absolutely fine however a lot of the toys in that area are based younger. So I think she was getting bored as she was more than capable to be involved in the 4+ group activities- so maybe a few tweaks around that. She enjoyed the soft play area.
We kept our room on which was great as we had a night flight - this was easy to do. €40euros till 3pm and €10 for every hour after which I thought was reasonable.
Overall it was a nice holiday & hotel - if I returned I would not choose the all inclusive options there are a lot of lovely restaurants close to the hotel or slightly further afield.
We stayed at the Mediterranean Palace in Playa de las Américas in June 2026 and had another fantastic experience.
We stayed in a suite, which was spacious and well-equipped, offering plenty of room for our family of four. The hotel staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help throughout our stay.
This was our second visit, having previously stayed in 2024, and the hotel still looks excellent following its refurbishment over the last couple of years. Everything feels modern, clean, and very well maintained.
The location is one of the hotel’s biggest strengths, with a great selection of restaurants, bars, and attractions all within easy walking distance.
The food was also very good, with a wide variety of options available at breakfast. The à la carte restaurants were excellent, and hotel guests receive a 20% discount, which was a nice bonus.
A special mention should go to the kids’ club, which was excellent. There were plenty of activities on offer each day for children aged 1 and above, and the staff were fantastic—friendly, engaging, and great with the children.
Overall, we had another enjoyable stay and would happily return again in the future. We would definitely recommend the Mediterranean Palace to families looking for a modern, friendly, and well-located hotel in Tenerife.
First time in the Mediterranean palace hotel and Tenerife. The hotel is absolutely lovely. Stayed on the first floor room 1039 & bed and breakfast.
The hotel itself is very beautiful, very clean, lovely pool and plenty of sunbeds.
The room was very big, plenty of storage space, the safe is good. You use your room key to open and lock the safe. The bed is very comfortable. It cured my aching neck I've had for a while. I wish I could have taken the bed home. The shower is fantastic, great water pressure from the rain shower. Loved the lighting in the mirror. Very modern looking rooms.
Breakfast was lovely, the only thing I didn't enjoy was the beans but that's just personal preference. Lots of different food to choose from, always spoilt for choice.
Only watched one night of entertainment and what I watched was good, they had Latin dancers.
All in all I really enjoyed the hotel and I will definitely come back again
We stayed in this hotel for a week. While the hotel and facilities are beautiful, we got off to a bad start. Our baby bag was stolen from the pool area within our first hour of being at the hotel. Yes we left it unattended to go for a swim but I never thought when booking this hotel that it wouldn't be safe to go swimming together as a family. We had to buy all our baby essentials again, bottles, dummies etc. My phone also happened to be in the bag but to be honest the baby essentials were more of a miss. The staff couldn't do anything except to tell us to go to the police which we did. As I said the hotel itself is lovely but we didn't feel like our belongings were safe after this. We were also then aware that people can come in from the street to the pool area. They have security 24/7 but I never once saw them for the week apart from speaking to them about this incident. I just want other people to be mindful of this as we never would have expected it to happen to us. We spoke to different people around the pool and they had all left items at the sun-beds when in the pool.
This was our second visit to Tenerife, and we chose the Mediterranean Palace because of its excellent location to restaurants and shops and the positive recent reviews. We were a family of 8 and unfortunately, our experience didn't live up to the expectations we had.
The biggest disappointment was the cleanliness. The pool area was often dirty, with plasters, hair and cigarette butts left around. The cleaning was only done in some areas but the deck chairs were never moved and cleaned underneath!
Our room also wasn't cleaned properly throughout our stay. The beds were made and towels changed daily, but the floors and other areas were not cleaned well and often remained dirty. The sink area and shower was also not cleaned well that I had to end up doing it myself!
Breakfast was average with a reasonable selection, but nothing stood out. No standard breakfast items like peanut butter, hash browns, an omelette counter etc. Most of the fruits like peaches, pineapple and mandarins were all tinned fruits and there was hardly anything fresh. We also found it frustrating that there was nowhere to refill drinking water during the day, with water only available at breakfast. I feel like water is a basic need and there should be a filtered water machine available for guests.
The children's evening entertainment was disappointing and didn't keep the kids engaged. It also seemed like a missed opportunity to continue the usual evening entertainment during the World Cup, as hardly anyone was watching it.
Overall, the location is fantastic and was the main reason we booked this hotel. However, the cleanliness, average food and disappointing entertainment meant it didn't live up to the positive reviews we'd read. We probably wouldn’t come back.
