Myself, my husband and 3 children attended this hotel for 10 nights. When we arrived we were put in separate rooms on 2 totally different floors, even though we had booked a family connecting room, at first the lady at reception did not appear to be hopeful about this problem being solved which stressed us out more. Not wanting to spend our holiday separated, the next day we asked how we could be together and in the end had to pay an extra 270 euro to be put in a family connecting room that we had originally already paid for, even though we had to pay extra we were greeted with kids gift packs and a bottle of fizz on ice in the evening as an apology.
The reviews about the noise are correct, we were on the first floor and the noise early hours in the morning and during the night does not stop, doors slamming and people walking past always. So every night was a late night and an early wake up. On one night my kids were absolutely traumatised due to drunken guests causing carnage, being in a room and hearing the unknown was beyond scary, elderly were scared to leave there room.
Ending on a positive note the pool was amazing although a foam party or bigger entertainment for kids would have been even better.
The Breakfast was amazing, you could not fault the breakfast or the pool. The rooms were cleaned every day but if you want your bedding changed regular you have to ask. My kids also loved the kids club, it was very very safe and secure with fabulous activities for them to get involved with.
We come to this area every year and I don’t think we will be back to las Americas within 12 months it’s definitely gone down hill, streets aren’t looked after like it used to be, the streets aren’t clean and the crime rate has gone up.
We had a great week at the Mediterranean palace. Check in easy and polite. Rooms were lovely. The swimming pool was amazing our children spent hours in there. Kids club staff very helpful. Hotel is clean, spacious and in the best location. Shops, bars and beaches both sides. Breakfast was nice, some random dishes but we all ate well each day and there was always a table for 5 available. Coal was a great restaurant and not over priced. Only criticisms ... cleaners need to brush up in the rooms we had sand for 3 days on the floor. Evening entertainment was very average. Not very exciting and each night its very similar. Get more entertainment that involves the guests. Overall we loved our stay and we will definitely return. Thank you 😊
Booked this hotel for my partners 50th birthday as we wanted somewhere special with it being his 50th and as it was 5 star we thought this would be the best and have a luxury experience. When we arrived we were greeted well and got offered a champagne orange or water which I thought was a nice touch then got lead to our room , the room was lovely but we had a disappointing veiw from our balcony like pipe work that was just left there which was a shame however when we ventured out to the veiw of the pool it was a lovely veiw and the pool didn’t disappoint nice and big and plenty of sun loungers and sun, the pool bar eating area was lovely very reasonable priced for drinks and snacks and yet again a nice touch for complimentary nuts with the drinks. Theres just a couple of things that let this 5 star hotel down firstly we paid nearly £900 each for bed and breakfast and the breakfast was very disappointing we were expecting it to be amazing with it being 5 star but unfortunately it wasn’t we had a better breakfast in Benidorm and that was a 3 star hotel , we basically had egg on toast every morning as the bacon and sausage were awful not English bacon or sausage not crispy and the sausages were either covered in oil/grease or looked like they were raw not cooked enough, and who has broccoli and carrots for breakfast?? One morning my partner had some sort of chicken in a sauce just to try something different but it was like rubber and gristle awful and yet again who has chicken for breakfast?? Also the coffee was lousy we couldn’t even drink it and we can usually drink cheap coffee but they was like watery milky froth , I mean how can u not have nice coffee in a 5 star hotel? In the end on our last day we couldn’t bear to eat it again so I payed for us the have a sea veiw proper English breakfast and it was absolutely gorgeous, but yet again we shouldn’t have had to pay for a breakfast when we payed for 5 star luxury. And also they didn’t fill our shampoo and shower gel up all wk which was disappointing, all in all although the interior was lovely and the pool area really nice the interior and hotel itself was spotless we wouldn’t stay here again, I don’t think it’s 5star and for the money we paid it should have been, we had a lovely holiday regardless anyway and the staff were lovely and attentive.
Had a great week staff very friendly hotel was very clean. Room spacious and well maintained all and all a great holiday thank you .
Reception area very impressive and check in quick and staff very pleasant. Room on top floor. My granddaughter loved the glass lifts. There was a child's bed for her as well as a box of toiletries and a bathrobe. Nicely furnished and well cleaned daily. The pool is large. Steps similar to a beach entry and 1.4m deep at middle. Floaters only allowed in one area. Splas pool looked quiet and for little children. The beach is just outside and plenty of shops and bars. Hard Rock in the grounds of the complex. Two à la carte restaurants. Good size outside dining areas. Lots of choice in buffet but signage not always very clear and set up quite high. Children couldn't see the display and some shorter adults had difficulty. Drinks served by staff. We were able to use the gym to shower on final day.
