Excellent holiday, great hotel and friendly staff. Friendly service by Ramon and the team by the pool bar. 5 ⭐️
I stayed at Alexandre Hotel La Siesta in August 2026 in my own room with my two children.
I was travelling with my friend Nadia, who was staying separately with her child.
During the stay, Nadia discovered that €150 in cash was missing from her room. This concerned her room, her belongings and the police report she subsequently filed. I did not have any money missing from my own room and I was not involved in the original missing-money complaint.
I supported my friend during her discussions with the hotel because she was upset and the situation was difficult for her.
After Nadia followed the hotel’s instructions and filed a report with the Policía Nacional, she met with Elisa from the hotel. I joined the discussion to support my friend and to express my concern about the way the situation was being handled.
The conversation became tense and I expressed my dissatisfaction strongly.
What I still find extremely difficult to understand is what happened next.
I had my own room and my own separate booking. I had not reported any missing money, had not requested any reimbursement and was not the person who filed the police complaint. My involvement was supporting my friend during her discussion with the hotel.
Despite this, I was also told that I had to leave the hotel immediately, together with my two children.
We asked to be allowed to remain until the following morning because our stay had not yet ended. This request was refused.
We were required to collect our belongings immediately and leave the hotel with the children.
I want to be clear that my review is not an accusation about who was responsible for the missing money. I am describing what happened to me personally as a result of the situation that followed.
For me, the most serious issue is that my children and I were required to leave my separately booked room because of a dispute arising from another guest’s missing-money complaint.
I still do not understand the precise basis on which my own stay was terminated.
A formal complaint has also been submitted to Alexandre Hotels concerning the way this situation was handled.
I would strongly encourage future guests to read the recent reviews of this hotel carefully before booking. In particular, use the review search function and look for terms such as “theft”, “stolen”, “missing money”, “money missing”, “cash”, “valuables”, “luggage”, “room”, “safe”, and “police”.
It may also be useful to search the same terms in French and Spanish, for example: “vol”, “argent disparu”, “objets volés”, “robo”, “dinero desaparecido”, “efectivo”, and “objetos de valor”.
My own experience concerns the way I was expelled with my two children despite not being involved in the original missing-money complaint.
I believe prospective guests should read the different accounts, as well as the hotel’s responses to those reviews, and make up their own minds.
I am sharing my experience because I was personally affected by the decision to remove us from the hotel despite not being involved in the original missing-money complaint.
We stayed for a week in April 2026
The hotel is a stones throw from the golden mile and a few minutes walk to the beach front absolutely perfect location.
We travelled as a family of 4 children 10m & 3 the hotel was perfect for this age range with the heated pool and small splash park. They also have an indoor soft play which our 3 year old loved.
Staff are friendly and welcoming. Rooms are spacious enough and well laid out.
The all inclusive isn't great food is ok and you will find something but returning we would come half board. Some cocktails are included at certain times or chargeable if made by a bar tender which is confusing and unnecessarily complicated.
This is a great hotel if travelling with young children and in a perfect location. We will definitely return.
We had little bears and luggage tags on arrival which our boys loved.
Was a nice hotel very nice staff and kids entertainers. Also Andre’s the life guard was great with my son. Always cleaning up and helping people get a sunbed.
