Gran Hotel Oasis

Just returned from a 2 week stay 6-20th July!

We travelled as a family of three, the hotel was amazing, ill break it down into sections for ease

ACCOMMODATION We stayed in a Duplex apartment which was very spacious, air con was a dream on the hot days, rooms cleaned every day and towels when requested. Nothing was ever any trouble and the staff were always more than happy to help.

ENTERTAINMENT

The animation team were great always activities for adults and kids throughout the day, evening mini disco and the entertainment afterwards was quite good, some wasnt our cup of tea but not everything will be

FOOD We found the food was a great mix and always something even for the fussy eaters! I would say there could be a little more variety for the kids, maybe bring back the kids section but all in all, it was good, clean and I note some reviews mentioned birds eating the bread as part of the dining room is open, I noticed this once, notified the staff and the food was taken away, think some people didnt say anything and if the staff dont know how can they fix the problem.

CLEANLINESS

The hotel was spotless, constantly cleaners and staff clearing up, the biggest issue was guests being too lazy to walk 5 steps to the bin and dispose of their unwanted food at the snack section/pool area, of course birds will have a field day if food is left, and also biggest issue was folk not washing their hands, given the recent outbreak of sickness round the hotel (prior to our arrival) I think that would probably explain half the issue, its not the hotel but the guests not following basic hygiene, and yes I even called people out who walked out the loo without washing their hands!!

LOCATION

the hotel is up a steep hill and away from the hustle and bustle of the main strip which we enjoyed, it was a nice walk to Los Christianos/playa de las americas, taxis were around 6-10 euro, be careful if the taxideivers some seemed to add supplements and you had to stand your ground, ask for a receipt and thay seemed o make them remove the supplements as it is illegal

All in all, we had a fantastic stay and would certainly return again!

We stayed in Apartment 190 and had an amazing holiday.

The apartment was spacious, modern, and had everything we needed. Having two balconies was a real bonus, with a clothes airer on one, which was really useful. The air conditioning in both bedrooms was fantastic and made such a difference after spending the day in the sun. We did have a small issue with the downstairs air conditioning leaking, but it was fixed immediately after we reported it. Housekeeping came every day, and towels were changed whenever needed.

Food: We loved the variety of food available at every mealtime, especially the themed evening dinners. There was always plenty of choice, lots of tables available, and the drinks selection was good too. The restaurant staff worked incredibly hard, clearing tables as soon as people finished while remaining friendly and polite.

Pools: We spent every day at the main pool and never struggled to find sunbeds. The only morning we reserved one was because we planned to stay poolside all day. The staff were always collecting empty cups and plates, keeping the area clean and tidy. The only downside was some guests reserving the front-row sunbeds early in the morning and then not returning until after lunchtime, meaning those beds sat empty for hours.

Entertainment: There was plenty going on throughout the day to keep the kids entertained, along with an arcade and pool tables. The evening entertainment was enjoyable, with a good variety over our 10-night stay. The only thing I noticed was that the arcade could be quite messy in the evenings after unsupervised children had been in, with rubbish left behind and drinks spilled on the floor.

Pool Bar/Snack Bar: We loved being able to help ourselves to drinks and snacks throughout the day. There was always a great selection available.

Overall: We absolutely loved our stay. Every member of staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and there were plenty of seating areas around the complex. Whenever we wanted to head out, reception arranged a taxi that arrived within a couple of minutes and cost around €7.

We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing family holiday. We had a fantastic stay and wouldn't hesitate to book again in the future.

Another amazing stay after being here last year. The food has improved, even though I was happy with it last year too. Children's entertainment was a bit limited while we were there unlike last year but my daughter still had a great time. Staff, amazing! Food, amazing! Rooms are great and cleaned everyday. Bit of bad guest behaviour this year which made us a bit uncomfortable at times but that's not the hotels fault.
