The BEST TENERIFE is located in an area bursting with shops and restaurants that give it life both day and night. Of particular note are the panoramic views of the swimming pool. It's 380 rooms offer customers a functional and pleasant environment. The hotel entertainment staff offer activities day and night. Facilities include Air Conditioning.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We stayed from June 22 to June 29. Everything was excellent throughout our stay! We originally booked half board but upgraded to all-inclusive. There were three meals a day, and you could also enjoy snacks by the pool. Drinks were available all day. The only downside was that soft drinks were not available at breakfast.
This was our second stay at the hotel, and we are just as happy as we were last year. We will definitely be back!
The beds were very wide, with 1.40 meters of space per person. The mattresses were comfortable. The rooms were spotless and had excellent air conditioning. The bathrooms were beautiful, with walk-in showers. Housekeeping was extremely friendly.
We had a wonderful holiday!
We’ve just finished an all-inclusive holiday at this hotel, so I’ll start with the positives.
Before arriving, we were a little worried after reading so many negative reviews about the food. However, for the most part, we didn’t find this to be an issue. We thought the food was totally fine. It wasn’t mind-blowing, but we had no real complaints. Yes, it often did go cold quite quickly once it was on your plate, although I think a lot of that may be down to the air conditioning, as the restaurant is kept pretty cool. Lunch was sometimes a bit hit and miss, but dinner was always lovely, with a different theme each night.
The hotel is generally clean, and our room was great. It was cleaned every day, and we had no issues with noise at all. We slept well every night. The staff we spoke to were all lovely, and the animation team were great too. There was often something going on, from water polo and darts to fun pool challenges, like trying to run across a foam sheet on the water.
The entertainment wasn’t too bad either. It wasn’t amazing, but we did see a couple of enjoyable shows during our stay. Most of it was geared towards children, but that’s probably to be expected at a family hotel like this.
Pool area is lovely, although the pool does get quite crowded at times.
The spa team were also really good. Jose was great, so if you like a pamper, you’re in luck here.
The location is spot on too: just a five-minute walk to the main strip, and around 10 to 15 minutes from some beautiful beaches.
On check-out, with us leaving late in the day, the hotel also allowed us to book a complimentary shower room and stored luggage for us.
Now for the negatives.
First, though not a major issue for us - the lifts are a nightmare! Us included, we spotted many others giving up and taking the stairs often.
We personally didn’t like the serve-yourself approach to drinks on the all-inclusive package. If you want a proper made-up cocktail, you either have to use the machine, which only has a few options, craft your own or pay for one at the bar - it's serve yourself all the way otherwise.
The main pool is a complete free-for-all, with balls being fired around constantly. On my second day, I was hit full-on in the face by a heavy rubber ball, which bloodied my nose and stung for a while. I was hit a few more times after that too including whilst sat on sunbeds, although thankfully not as badly once I’d learned to dodge them a bit better!
The sunbed policy I don't think is great as well. We often saw people reserving prime spots and then disappearing for hours on end, and the hotel does nothing about it. On many occasions, we ended up tucked away in a corner while looking at empty sunbeds in the best spots that just had towels left on them for most of the day. One plus is that there are usually some spare sunbeds stacked up, so you can sometimes create your own decent spot.
At one point, after seeing many other guests also hunting for unreserved beds like we had been, I decided to test the hotel’s approach. I pointed out to the lifeguard that a whole row of sunbeds had been reserved for at least three hours. She referred me to reception. Reception then told me to find the “man in white” walking around the pool area. When I eventually found him, he told me there was nothing he could do.
So, in other words, feel free to reserve a prime spot for the day whether you use it or not - hotel approved! No need to worry about being considerate.
All in all though, it wasn’t a bad stay, but I do think you can find better for the money. We wouldn’t personally stay here again.
Location excellent, atmosphere great, room was great, balcony was amazing cleanliness great, noise levels 👍, service excellent from all departments, amenities great, good value for money, we would definitely recommend this hotel and will be returning for a longer stay 😀 👍 xx
Location excellent, good enough buzz about hotel. The all inclusive package is not all inclusive cocktail extra 3.50 per cocktail unless you want to drink from dispenser. All brander spirits extra. Wine from tap non drinkable. Food just ok, will find something. We ate in restaurant 2 nights this was a very good experience good Alot nicer. Room was extremely small and over looking bins room 264.
I have stayed in this hotel many many times and I have never ever had a thing to say bad about this hotel , I am currently here my husband , with my sons and grandchildren, some are half board some all inclusive, I have never ever been so disgusted at the bar staff at the pool , the behaviour of these may I add elderly men watching every move of every Pepsi we poured incase we wernt entitled to it , my son ask for hard plastic cup which he didn’t realise is 1 euro , the staff member said you pay my son said no I’m all inclusive, the staff member replied you don’t want ? Poured the drink out and said fk off (my son is 20 ) Then my son got a burger sat at the table with a friend said to her oh that’s not nice taste that , only for the same member of staff coming to tell him that she wasn’t all inclusive so couldn’t take a bite of his burger she was half board . One plate was on the table , my sons plate , and the burger on it that he had taken bite out of , this was in front of other holiday makers , they said they would dispose of the burger but she wasn’t to have it . Baring in mind I’m due to come here again in October for 5 nights which is already booked don’t think I could return here because they are watching every cup of Pepsi we are having incase we arnt untitled to it . Nearly 7 thousand pound for us all to be treated like we are taking food . Absolutely disgraceful and humiliating.
