Paradise Park Fun Lifestyle Hotel – Honest Review

We’ve just returned from a family holiday at Paradise Park Fun Lifestyle Hotel and, overall, it was a mixed experience. There are definitely some good points, but for us, there were also quite a few things that stopped it from feeling like a true 4-star experience.

The positives: The hotel itself is nice, clean and well presented, with no real complaints about the size, layout or appearance. Our room was cleaned excellently throughout our stay, and the pool areas were clean and well maintained.

The location is decent too. You’re close to shops and amenities, with Los Cristianos easily accessible, and there’s a little mini-market directly outside the hotel which is handy for those essentials you’ve forgotten to pack.

The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Whenever we had questions or needed assistance, they were more than happy to help.

The negatives: The food was good quality overall, but it became very repetitive. Even on the themed nights, there seemed to be the same basic foods appearing, just with a few additions to fit the theme. After a few days, we found ourselves getting a little bored with the choices.

The pool area was probably one of our biggest frustrations. The rules around the pools didn’t seem to be particularly enforced, and the lifeguards often appeared more interested in their phones than what was happening around them. The infamous sunbed wars are definitely real — even out of season! There didn’t seem to be much enforcement around reserving beds, so getting a sunbed at a reasonable time felt like a complete gamble.

Another disappointment was the lack of information about what was actually included in the all-inclusive drinks package. There was no obvious information around the hotel explaining what alcohol was included. We actually only discovered on our last night that there were drinks we could have been enjoying throughout our stay. That really should be made much clearer to guests.

The entertainment was probably the biggest let-down. We’ve stayed in plenty of hotels and this was easily the least interactive entertainment team we’ve experienced. There was very little interaction with guests throughout the day and the team were barely visible until it was time for an evening show. We didn’t find the shows particularly appealing, so we ended up going back to our room or heading out to the surrounding bars instead.

For families, the evening atmosphere also wasn’t ideal. Unless you want to sit at the hotel bar drinking, there aren’t loads of alternative things to do. We ended up going out to nearby bars for karaoke, music and a change of scenery.

The music from the hotel bar was another issue. It continued until around 11pm or later and, because of where the bar is situated, the sound carries around a large part of the hotel. With children who wanted to sleep, we found the constant booming music particularly frustrating.

For us, although the hotel is advertised as 4-star, it felt more like a 3-star experience in several areas.

Unfortunately, one of the biggest things that affected our enjoyment wasn’t actually the hotel itself, but some of the other guests. There was quite a lot of rudeness and what felt like a real sense of entitlement from some people, which definitely put a dampener on the atmosphere.

We were also told during our stay that islanders “hate tourists”, which, whether intended or not, really didn’t help the overall feeling of the holiday. That was disappointing to hear when you’re there trying to enjoy yourself.

Would we return? Probably not. We had a decent holiday and there were certainly things we liked about the hotel, but there were too many little things that added up and stopped us from feeling that it lived up to its 4-star rating.

For us, we’ll be returning to Greece for future holidays. 🇬🇷

In summary: a clean, well-maintained hotel in a good location with friendly staff, but repetitive food, poor pool-rule enforcement, disappointing entertainment and evening noise meant it didn’t quite deliver the family 4-star experience we were expecting.

This was the first time our whole family went on holiday together, and we couldn't have chosen better tbh. The hotel was great, staff were so helpful and friendly. The entertainment was brill especially Cesar, he made our family feel so welcome and made every night fun. I highly recommend the paradise park hotel and we will be coming back again soon.

This was our first holiday as a family and we couldn't have picked a better hotel. The food is good, the entertainment is amazing - especially Cesar, he kept everyone entertained and the shows were fun and got everyone involved. The main family pool can get quite busy, due to day time entertainment but if you prefer a quieter scene, the natural pool is perfect. We were there everyday. Staff are amazing, surrounding area is hilly but there are lots of shops and restaurants if you don’t want to venture into Los Cristianos, we had a great week at Paradise Park
