This place is absolutely amazing for the price. This is our second time here. Friendly staff. Really clean. People say about the hill but honestly its not to bad unless you are in your 90s

On the whole we enjoyed our stay at these apartments/hotel however there are a few things which spoiled our holiday and others should make note of before booking. First of all it is advertised as a family resort and yet I would say it should be adults only given that when our children wanted to play in the small pool with a tiny ball they were told off by the lifeguard on duty. Throughout our stay it became clear children were not allowed to play at all and people were even told off for sitting on the step near the pool. There is simply nothing for children to do due to the size and limitations that are imposed on them at this resort and in immense heat where are children supposed to go and have fun.

Secondly we struggled with a strong smell of sewage which was coming through the cupboard into the bin area. Cleaning was sporadic and didn’t seem to follow a set pattern which is poor given that it is self catering and therefore food bins should be emptied daily particularly as we found out they had a problem with cockroaches!! First found in the bedroom and then the sink. After profuse complaints about the smell and uninvited roaches- we were moved which was a welcomed relief. I did complain about the lack of cleaning and this did seem to improve but there were occasions when I had to take my own bins out as they were overflowing with both food waste and recycling. This said- The staff were polite and the bar staff were super friendly and helpful. My son ate lunch at the pool bar most days and really enjoyed it. The breakfast laid on for half board looked delicious with a range of food on offer however we did not eat at the hotel at all. Locally there are a few restaurants and bars although for me the bars in Playa were far superior.

Falls well short of its 3-star rating, and of what's advertised We checked in to find our first room (507) infested with live flies, with dead flies squashed and left marked on the ceiling and upper walls near the door and all over the apartment, showing this hadn't been cleaned properly for some time. The floor had broken tiles, and lifting one revealed a grimy, debris filled vent underneath that clearly hadn't been touched in a long while. The walls and sofa bed were battered and dirty. It felt completely unclean from the moment we walked in. When we first complained, we weren't moved. Instead, someone was sent to "reclean" the room. The result showed almost no improvement; it looked like it had been given nothing more than a quick flick with a feather duster and a very light mop, with the same fly marks and floor debris still there. It was only after we complained a second time that we were moved to another room. For a property advertised and rated as 3 star, where cleanliness is supposed to be thorough rather than superficial, this fell well short. The second room was in better condition, but the room was still tired and battered. Despite Ohasis advertising free WiFi as standard, it simply didn't work in our room. We were stuck on patchy 5G for the whole stay, which annoying during a rainy spell when we couldn't even stream Netflix. We raised this multiple times and nothing was done. The shower stayed hot for about five minutes before losing heat, and leaked constantly due to poor design, meaning we had to mop the floor after every use. The toilet seat was loose enough that it nearly fell off/on us when sitting down, and there was a recurring smell of sewage. The bedroom had decent storage and a safe, but the bed had visibly dipped in the middle and we had to flip the mattress ourselves, well below the "well-presented beds and furniture" expected at 3-star level. The bedroom also didn't cool properly since the aircon unit was in the living area. Only the ceiling fan made it bearable. The kitchen was well equipped but missing an oven, and cooking regularly tripped the electrics, meaning repeated trips to the fuse board. That's a poor standard for a purpose built apartment hotel. Across the property, the same lack of investment was obvious only a quarter of the flooring has been renewed, with loose slats elsewhere that are an accident waiting to happen, and old, cracked red tiling throughout and broken lighting hanging out. The pool area was quiet but many sunbeds were broken with dirty cushions, and there weren't enough umbrellas for guests. Drinks were reasonably priced but easily double the cost of bars a short walk away. On the plus side, breakfast was good and the bar staff were genuinely helpful and friendly. Without them, the experience would have been far worse. Overall, this was well below what a 3-star, "recently renovated" complex should deliver, particularly on cleanliness and basic maintenance. Honestly, the whole place gave catfish vibes compared to how it's presented online. We felt let down and wouldn't return.
