Surrounded by a lush vegetation, offering a real paradise retreat, this fantastic resort enjoys an idyllic location on the banks of Los Cristianos bay, overlooking the old fishing port and La Gomera Island. Shopping venues are located roughly 500 m from the hotel and public transport departs from a stop that lies just 600 m away. Guests may spend the day on the beach, practicing some water sports, or soak up the sun at one of the three swimming pools, while sipping a refreshing drink or a delicious cocktail from the pool bar. Before preparing for dinner, travellers may want to relax in their comfortable rooms, while watching the TV or enjoying a stunning lateral or front sea view. Guests may not leave the resort without visiting the wellness area and try some of the treatments on offer such as a relaxing massage or body wraps. Other facilities include a piano bar, a varied entertainment programme and a fantastic sauna where visitors may enjoy some relaxing moments.
Well just arrived back from 10 nights at the Arona gran and what can we say, absolutely loved this hotel from the lobby to the beautiful pools, the hotel staff were brilliant, attentive polite and very very hard working (a special mention to Laly and Gloria in the restaurant). As for the food well wow you couldn't fault it even after 10 nights we still found new things to try.Not sure how full to capacity it was but you could always find a sunbed at any time of the day. We liked the idea of the app where you could keep track of what you had spent in the bars/restaurants. One slight downside was maybe the shower/bath could do with an update (room 217) but that's me being picky.
I really liked this hotel. Yes, we didn’t get the sea view we paid for but we did get a large pool room with a sea view. I was staying with my sister and it suited us well. The buffet style food was always good and in abundance. The gym was superb and no issues with sun beds, the room was spotlessly clean (please tip your wonderful room service) I didn’t like the pillows but I could have upgraded. The evening entertainment was ‘what you would expect’ and was wonderful to be honest. If you check my other reviews, I’m fortunate to stay in 5 star resorts- Arona Grand- I give you 5 stars for quality of beds, amenities and food.
Once again no air con in restaurant 2/9/26 could not finish my meal felt faint had to go to my room as all public area’s no air on.This has been reported three times now to management how long does it take to Address this problem???. Karen Smith.
First time here. Lovely place. Food at breakfast and dinner was fab. It had a cooking station that did everything fresh and the usual buffet things. Great variety. Fish and salad things were amazing and cava at breakfast is a must. Great theme nights like sushi and the cheese section was magic. Pools were great, never too busy. Entertainment was there but they didn't force you. Drinks were expensive. Pool loungers always available and could change your towels no bother. We upgraded to the up for 3 days and this was great but 2 days would have been enough. Great beds, pools, drinks and snacks. Nice and quiet. Nice beach a bit of a walk, maybe 20 minutes at my slow pace. We walked most nights into los cristianos for nice bars where drink was reasonable and big measures not like the hotel. Great few bars to find are cafe 5 and dreamers. They had karaoke with a great compare and 2 acts per night. Went there a few times. Staff were all good, reception good. Their app didn't work on our newer phones so i.t. an issue. They had electronic boards if you wanted to find out. Entertainment ok at night with a few good tribute acts like Queen. Was nice and quiet after 12 at night. Beds good and lots of nice pillows.
Multi generational family travelling together age range 18 - 75 with lots to offer for us all. A clean & beautiful hotel we stayed in room 150 with a lovely pool view, plenty of space, great waterfall shower, robes, slippers & daily towel change. The 3 pools were great with some activities if you wanted to be involved big shout out to Virginia & Miguel who are so friendly & work incredibly hard as the entertainment team - thank you! The food was exceptional for both breakfast & dinner lots of choice with good quality tasty food. The gala dinner definitely deserves a special mention as this was delicious. Location is great on the outskirts of town within easy walking distance to Los Cristianos & Las Americas.
