A long awaited break spoiled by drain stench
Great hotel but can't understand why no one else has complained about the stench in the toilet/ drains in the room. We upgraded to a suite which was very good in regards to the amenities but had to leave the room during the day because the smell was unbearable at times.
Reception attempted to resolve the issue by adding liquid (assume bleach) to the drains but the smell returned later that day. Mentioned it at reception again but was told there was an issue that was being resolved, however, this was not so during my stay.
Staff are generally helpful, breakfast staff are fabulous, friendly and efficient. Just couldn't utilise the room facilities as we had to leave it to escape the smell, really disappointed.

Perfect hotel for a chilled holiday
Just returned home from 5 wonderful nights in the Salmar. First time visiting Tenerife and we struck gold with this hotel. I cannot fault a single thing. The staff are friendly and helpful, always welcoming and able to answer any questions. The room was beautiful, I had a room on the 8th floor with the most gorgeous sea view. It was spotless, with a fridge and coffee machine, the water machine on each floor was very welcome. Breakfast was tasty, lots of options and I missed my morning glass of cava returning home. The hotel itself is beautiful, quiet and the decor is stunning, plenty of sunbed options and never an issue finding one in the sun or the shade. I paid extra for a full body deep tissue massage and it was amazing. Hotel itself is close to the airport, shops, bars and restaurant options a 2 minute walk away. Cannot fault the Salmar in any way. Just sad I had to leave. Thank you for a beautiful stay, cannot wait to return

Fantastic holiday
Amazing hotel,spotlessly clean & staff so friendly.Room was 908,sea & pool view,everything you needed,fresh towels daily. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety & hotel lunch was fab as well. Big shout out to Miguel for his excellent bar service,a true gentleman. Will definitely return...thk u Salmar🥰

Fabulous hotel in a great location
We got a last minute holiday here for a week and I have to say we struck gold.
We arrived late at night and was greeted warmly by the receptionist. She offered a cold glass of cava and although I normally don’t drink it I welcomed it.
We were given a room on the 4th floor which is just above reception. The room overlooked the pool and sea and was spotless.
Breakfast was fabulous with plenty of choice.
You never have to rush for sunbeds as there always seem to be some available.
Staff are lovely and friendly.
Location is perfect and just across from the main centre.
I was sad to leave and would definitely go back again.
