You're just 900 metres from the centre of El Medano, and you're right on the seafront too. In other words, when you stay at the Arenas del Mar Hotel you're absolutely perfectly placed for a fabulous holiday in one of Tenerife's most popular spots. And what about that beach… it's one of the most impressive stretches of beach in the whole of Tenerife. It really is amazing: beautifully black sands that stretch as far as the eye can see, bordered by the irresistible blue of the Mediterranean.

The Arenas del Mar Hotel has certainly earned its four stars and its incredible reputation. People flock to El Medano for that beach and that wonderful weather. And for anyone who's stayed there, the Arenas del Mar Hotel is just as much of a draw.
The views are outstanding, and its position on the seafront within easy reach of both town and beach is unrivalled. But location isn't everything. The Arenas del Mar Hotel is so enduringly popular because it's such a smart, modern hotel with fantastic amenities.
Just wait till you see the pool. Fringed by recliners and a wave of trees, – and then by the beach itself; there's something so much more exhilarating about swimming with the unmistakable scent of the fresh sea air in your nostrils.
Whatever you do, don't forget that there's an indoor pool too. Part of a wonderful recreation suite, with the superb spa facilities available*, you really could spend a lot of time here. Floor length windows let in loads of that wonderful light, and bring out the gorgeous colours in this little haven of peace and tranquillity. Please note the recreation suite is open to Adults only.
One of the really nice things about the Arenas del Mar Hotel is that sense that whatever you might hope for, the reality is better. The guests' rooms are a good example. Bigger and better than most hotel rooms, the standard rooms are actually junior suites. So there are double beds as standard, and plenty of room for you to relax and unwind.
All rooms come with a wonderful balcony – well, you really do want to make the most of those incredible views. They also satellite plasma TV and phone, room safe and minibar. Sea view rooms are also available.
The Arenas del Mar Hotel is choc-full of amenities too, ranging from its own internet cafe and shop, to a TV lounge and all sorts of activities. With a restaurant, cafe and pool bar as well, this really is one of those hotels that you could quite happily luxuriate in for a week or more.

The 4* Arenas del Mar is situated on the seafront in El Medano, just 900 metres from the centre. It is an ideal choice for a relaxing holiday with stunning views of the ocean and a fantastic array of amenities including an outdoor swimming pool, entertainment area, bars and a superb modern spa at a fee. La Jaquita Beach, a black sandy beach is close to the hotel.

Relatively okay
Room - spacious and good for what you need. Far too hot, air conditioning does not work well at all. It is stifling, how do you manage this in the height of summer!?
Food - overall good, fresh cold options are better, but you’ll find what you need!
Shade - not enough places to hide from the sun outside. Could do with more shade at the pool bar and bar hall.
Team - a friendly lot, you couldn’t really ask for much else. They provide great service, thank you!
Noise - hit and miss. Tuesday night comprised of a load of shrieking, screaming and shouting, alongside raucous laughing until past 2am. Not sure why the hotel team did not action this, especially as there are residential buildings surrounding the hotel.
Location - a lovely area! Head for a walk and enjoy the surroundings! 20 minute walk into the town which has a few shops and restaurants.
The beach area is lovely and the breeze is welcoming.
Would I come back? If the room was cooler, possibly.
Can't fault a thing
Each to their own, but personally, I can't fault anything. Food was fantastic, staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean, and well run. Rooms and amenities were modern, and overall I had a great time. First time on a Sun Seeker holiday as a solo traveller, and I think it was made a lot easier being an adults-only hotel. It is a very quiet area, but the walk along to El Médano is well worth it. Just over a KM away it offers some lovely beaches, bars, shopes, etc.

Unreal experience for 1st ever abroad holiday.
Gonna do this bit by bit, my first ever abroad holiday 42 years old and i loved it so here we go.... Location Perfect adults only quiet and just what we wanted a superb place quiet no real strip and always the sound of the waves.
Atmoaphere was made by a lady who was there for 2 weeks from london a west ham fan a forest fan and a united fan we had a great time at all times never a smile off the face.
Rooms absoloutly fine cleaned everyday if ya wanted it beds were hard which for me in that specific room was perfect.
Value for us just shy of 1.7k but we got the extras and all inclusive worth every penny would spend the same again tomoz.
All in all this was phenominal 7 of us 3 couples and our 2nd eldest child it was great in every way the days the evenings the middle bits food was great varied as hell tasted great. The staff were unreal everyone of them tipping 20 euros to the cleaning ladies was worth it all of them amazing in every way.
An honestly honest review
Just back from a 3 day break and here is an honest review Positives Staff lovely, they really are a friendly bunch Hotel, it's actually very nice, clean, tidy, maintained. Check in, very prompt and received an upgraded room for some reason but not grumbling Pool area, well kept and you get pool towels from the spa with a voucher from Reception, this is great idea, saves taking a beach towel away Food , plenty to choose from Views, they are beautiful if you get sea front
Negatives Air con - what air con? I agree with other posts that there really isn't any or what you have has no impact Pool area - too many broken sunbeds, so be careful when you sit, they really do need to update all those Food- although plenty to choose from it was like warm at best, I like my food hot not tepid Reception- check in was great and they really give you all the info about where to go for food, entertainment, pool BUT they DO NOT give you any Information about the spa... we learnt on the last day that the indoor pool is free as long as booked.
All in all a nice little get away, would I go again? Probably not but thats not to say you shouldn't try it at least once
An OK hotel
Location of this hotel was perfect, right on the beach and only a 15 min transfer from the Airport.
Atmosphere was nice, adult only. Pool area was cleaned every morning but broken sunbeds and umbrellas let the area down. This has been mentioned before on reviews and I am pleased to say that the hotel have taken notice because on day 3 of our visit, new sunbeds and umbrellas were being delivered.
Rooms were very big and spacious but the cleaning was not really up to scratch. There was a long black hair on the wall of the shower cubicle on day 1 and was still there on our last day, and the floor certainly wasn't swept. Towels had huge holes in them also.
Bar staff worked really hard, but on 1 occasion I was given a glass and the rim of the glass was broken and caught my lip. I gave this back to the bar man and he gave me another drink in a different glass. A few hours later, I was given the same glass again and then again 3 days later! I notice that when they collect the glasses they stack them up inside each other, this is how they are getting broken and chipped on the rim of the glass.
Food was ok, sometimes not very warm, and when they grill on the hot grill they basically cremate the food. I survived on chips and boiled eggs/bread rolls for most of the week.
When I booked the hotel it was a 4 Star, I received an email to say that it had been downgraded to a 3 star plus and I could change the accommodation, in hindsight I wished I had changed the accommodation now.
Although everyone there worked so hard, there are clearly areas that need addressing and I feel that I paid a lot of money to stay here.
