Costa del Silencio

Costa del Silencio is a small purpose-built resort town located on the South coast of Tenerife. It is just 12km to Playa de las Americas. The name for the town translated means “silent coast” due to it once being a miniscule fishing village home to only locals. It is now a livelier resort with a lot on offer for tourists but without the hustle and bustle.

Many excursions are available around the area of the resort including Whale and Dolphin watching cruises, hiking to Montana Amarilla a nature reserve, and all-day jeep tours around Mount Teide. Watersports such as diving, sailing, surfing and even a submarine safari are easy to find.

For a holiday not too exotic or culture packed, Costa del Silencio is the place for you. However, if you do stay here and fancy a bit of action, there are good transportation links so the livelier areas like Playa de las Americas and Costa Adeje are a bus ride away.
