This popular apartment complex lies just across the promenade and a shopping centre of Playa Fañabe. The town centre with countless restaurants, bars and shopping venues as well as exiting nightlife venues is a mere 2 km away whilst links to the public transport network are just 200 m away. Puerto Colón's beautiful marina is a mere 400 m from the hotel and offers a range of entertainment options. Guests are offered a supermarket, a selection of shops, a restaurant as well as a bar. Each of the charming units comes with a combined lounge/ bedroom area, a bathroom with a shower and a dining area with a kitchenette, and a balcony or terrace. The apartments additionally feature a separate bedroom. The apartment complex features a palm tree-lined pool complex with a children's area. There is a sun terrace where sun loungers and parasols have been laid ready for use.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We’ve just returned from an 11 night stay at the Sol Sun Beach and had a fantastic time here, both myself, my wife and our two teenage kids loved everything about it . The hotel is in a perfect location overlooking the beach, with plenty of bars and restaurants close by. The hotel has a really relaxed atmosphere about the place , especially the pool area and sun terrace. The pool is huge, inflatables were allowed too which was ideal and there are loads of sun beds and parasols for people to use …… no early morning sun bed wars which was perfect!! We stayed in a 2 bed studio with a sea view. The 2 bedrooms were a good size, 2 bathrooms , kitchen, big living room and a huge balcony with table, chairs and 2 sun loungers. The staff were superb, really friendly and helpful and the rooms were kept spotlessly clean. We went half board but only had breakfast as we ate out every night , breakfast was fine with plenty of choice for everyone . This is a wonderful hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of staying here .
Lovely hotel apartment. We stayed self catering. When we arrived we wasn’t satisfied with our room so I went to speak to reception who explained they can swap our rooms the following day once others had checked out which is exactly what we did do. The room from then on was superb. We had a slight sea view and a pool view on the top floor which was lovely. We barely heard our neighbours and really alleviated the seperate entrance and exit for them rooms. House keeping was super polite and room was cleaned to a high standard only issue being it had a slight smell of damp after they had been in so I believe this could be due to a old mop or old water but once the door was opened for 5 minutes it left the room. One thing I would mentioned is there is no freezer which is strange when going self catering and the layout do the kitchen drawers is also kind of strange being higher than head height not able to see into the drawers. Would definitely stay there again, staff members were super polite and they all looked very smart also.
We stayed at Sol Sun Beach for 10 days at the beginning of July in a premium studio on half board. Room was fantastic, lots of space, and the aircon unit and fan was a life saver! - we were in a ground floor room and the terrace was a great size, the only thing I will say is the hotel does not have any lifts so if you do struggle with mobility this may be an issue for you as lots of steps around the hotel to get to reception/pool area etc. Breakfast was great, lots of choices to choose from and a great start to the day. We only ate in the restaurant for dinner once as we prefer eating out but food was good - my only gripe being you couldn't have water with your meal, if you wanted water you had to pay 6 euro per person for the drinks package, which we felt was wasted on us - my understanding this was not a one off payment and you would have to pay 6 euro each night if you wanted any form of drink with your meal. The location is the main reason we booked this hotel, situated right on Fanabe Beach close to loads of bars and restaurants - Definitely recommend Waxy O'Sheas Irish bar for live music in the evenings. The staff were fantastic and extremely helpful with any questions or queries we had during our stay. The hotel has lockers you can pop your suitcases in if you are on an early arrival flight or late flight home, there is also a shower room you can use if you are on a flight which you could book a slot for on the day. All in all we had a great time and will definitely be returning, thank you Sol Sun Beach :)
Got back from here last week, it was such a lovely place! I had an issue with my rings, couldn’t get them off & the reception staff sorted it straight away! Saved me going to ane. They’d ask me everytime they saw me how I was, they were so much help sorted my problem every time. Location was amazing, good size pool, nice hotel was nice and refurbished. Would definitely go back loved the place! Massive thanks to Bruno, Lorena, Niraya Miss it x Definitely recommend
Arrived from East Midland at approx 20.50, flight ok but the EES experience was chaotic. Transfer to the apartments took about 30 mins, ref the drop off, the coach parked opposite the Sunwing Hotel. You have to turn right up the road, cross over and walk up the slight hill to the perfume shop on the corner. Turn left down the street and about 20 meters on the left is the entrance. Not well sign posted, yes there’s a couple of unlit boards saying ’Sun Sol’ but no direction as to where it is. Booking in was quite quick, our room- studio apartment with sea view- was just right. We were on a self catering stay as the restaurant was undergoing a refurb, all explained pre booking and info’d by our friends who were not long back. The room was as expected, good bathroom, kitchen and lounge with a nice sun terrace and a real sea view, not sight of the sea at a pinch like some! As the restaurant was under refurbishment they offered a sort of continental breakfast affair served in what we took to be the lounge bar, we weren't particularly interested as we were self catering. The lounge bar area in the evenings didn't appear to be a going concern as through the 7 nights we were there we saw no one in there, probably as the bar was basically a bare counter with a few bottles at the back. They advertised nightly entertainment which must have been at the pool bar area. The pool bar is a pool with a small hut, we didn't use it as the later afternoon siestas were taken on the roof terrace where there were an abundance of sun loungers though hardly used. The apartments were perfect for our needs, clean, pleasant and efficient staff, well equipped and with a great sea view and balcony. We would gladly revisit
