Royal Sunset Beach Club

There are very few hotels that I can honestly say I would return to but Royal Sunset Beach Club is definitely one of them. As others have said the facilities in our one bedroom apartment were perfect and it was definitely a bonus to have a good sized fridge and freezer (with ice cube trays) as well as an oven, hob, microwave, toaster and kettle (and decent sized mugs for a cup of tea!). The courtesy products were also very welcome (salt and pepper sachets, tea, coffee and sugar, dishwasher tablets, sponge, tea-towels, shower gel etc) and there is a Hiper-dino just two doors away and Spanish Style shop just across the road when you need additional supplies. If you're staying for a week housekeeping come in twice, sheets are changed once during your stay and the towels twice (more than enough for most and no pressure to get out of the room early each day). There is also an on-site laundry (5 euros for 1 x 8kg load, takes 30 minutes and dries on your balcony in seconds) and the rooms have an iron and ironing board if required.

We required the use of the sofa bed which was not made up upon arrival. We tried, unsuccessfully, to covert from sofa to bed but ended up calling housekeeping who ended up calling maintenance (it wasn't us being stupid, it was a technical issue), however this was resolved very quickly. Not the best nights sleep ever (very noisy) but that's to be expected on a sofa bed. Main bed is extremely comfortable and the separately controlled air conditioning in both rooms was an absolute blessing.

The pool area is opened at 9am and there is no reserving sunbeds around the pool before that time although there are others you can reserve if you're an early riser. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and inflatables are only allowed in the pool for one hour per day. Pool is also open until 7.30pm which is unusual and appreciated for those who burn easily.

Breakfast at the pool bar was excellent. Plenty of choice and good value.

The location of this hotel is fantastic as others have said. Taxi rank immediately outside and free bus to Siam Mall and Siam Park just around the corner. Fanabe market is 10-15 minutes walk away and the beaches of Playa Fanabe are just 5 minutes walk away. Plenty of choice for shops, restaurants and bars within walking distance.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. You can communicate via WhatsApp or by using the phones in your room. Wi-Fi signal was good in the room (not just in reception like some hotels). There is the option to pay for early check-in or late check-out (subject to availability) which was also appreciated.

WARNING - We stayed from 26th June to 3rd July 2026 and there were building works ongoing throughout our stay as the apartments below us were being fully refurbished. If you book directly with the hotel they do advise of this when they confirm your booking BUT our holiday booker did not pass on that information to us so it was an unexpected surprise. This won't affect many (workmen start around 8.30am and finish around 7pm) but anyone who wants to sleep late or take an afternoon nap will be affected. We tried to give our teenage daughter some privacy by pegging towels to the balcony railing but were told to remove these (health and safety).

Overall a fantastic stay and would definitely stay again (once the building works are complete!)

The Royal Sunset Beach Club is such a lovely hotel and is spotless. The check in is very easy and you pay a €100 depost on arrival. The apartments are cleaned every 3 days and they leave the room spotless with fresh linnen if needed and everything is topped up. Also the units have great air-conditioning. The kitchenette has everything you need and I mean everything. If you change the channel on the TV in the apartment to HDMI1 and scan a QR code on the TV you can stream any app (Netflix, Prime, You Tube) directly to the TV and this is very handy so we had a movie to watch most evenings. The unit is perfect for self catering although once you walk out the front door of the resort you have multiple restaurants to choose from. Milanos is fantastic (1 min away) however, Hawaii directly across the road is not great! **Top Tip: The closer the restaurant is to the beach, the more you pay (with the exception of a little place called Loch Ness). We booked a 1 bed unit and have a family of four (2 kids 10yo and 11yo). The pull out sofa was perfect for the kids. Each unit comes with a balcony and ours had a very nice view. If you want to be situated by the pool you can call the hotel in advance and they will do their best to accomodate you. The pool is perfect and the animation team are doing fun stuff for the kids every day and the receptionist will email you and whatsapp you a full itenery of the animation events when you check in. Floaties are only allowed in the pool between 2pm and 3pm but swimming aids such as pool noodles and armbands are perfectly fine at any time. There is a bar on site that serves food and also 2 pool tables and a large table tennis. Sun beds inside of the pool perimiter are on a you move, you lose it basis (meaning if you walk away and leave your sun bed for about an hour) your towel will be placed to the side allowing another guest to take this sunbed and to be honest I thought was fair. This is just for the sunbeds surrounding the pool. There are sunbeds on an outer perimiter of the pool too and this rule does not apply. You can also do your laundry on site and this costs €5 and if you are thrifty you can then dry your clothes on your balcony although they do also have a drier. Taxis park up directly outside the front door of the resort so there are always 3 to 4 taxis available at any time of the day. The resort is about 3 mins walking to the beach (not steep downhill). The Costa Adeje market is a 10 min walk from the resort (slightly uphill) and I high recommend a cafe called 'El Dukes' for lunch **that is directly across the road from the market. Taxis are cheap, ubers are about 4 times more expensive so stick to the taxies. For example it costs about €7 to €8 get to Siam Park by taxi. Btw, if you are doing Siam Park its worth getting the fast pass. I cannot rate the Royal Sunset Beach Club high enough and the whole experience was great. The staff, the cleanliness, the facilities and location were all perfect. Thank you very much for a great stay at a lovely resort.
