Like a precious jewel in an idyllic setting, the Luxurious 5-star Boutique Hotel Royal River will open its doors on May 1, 2020.
Located in the most privileged area of the south of Tenerife, this exclusive Adults Only Resort of 50 villas with swimming pool is charmed with 3 spectacular views: the deep blue of the Atlantic Ocean on the right, the green of the Costa Adeje golf course in front and the silhouette of the mountains and the Roque del Conde on the left.
Its elegant architecture and the originality of its contemporary design, together with the masterful use of natural materials from the island, make this luxury hotel a unique reference in the Canary Islands.
In its facilities, there are 29 River Suites surrounded by two large pools-river; a central pool with Cocoon loungers and tropical palm trees; 17 villas with private pool and 4 luxurious stilt houses on a lake with turquoise waters.
In order to enrich this experience of relaxation and romance, the Royal River has an infinity pool in the hotel's solarium to enjoy magnificent sunsets, a Spa with a thermal cave inspired by a Mexican cenote and a Hamman for beauty therapies inspired by Arab culture.

Honeymoon Visit
We had four nights here for our honeymoon and what an amazing experience it was. From the moment we entered the hotel we were greeted at reception with welcome drinks and made to feel relaxed straight away. The room was beautifully decorated and so clean, this is the same as the rest of the hotel. The staff could not do enough to make your stay brilliant. All the pools are lovely and most of the time quiet as people tend to switch from their own private pools to using the main pools.
The area is quiet but only 11 euros in a taxi to Fañabe beach.
Breakfast plenty of choice and all very nice, dinner we slightly struggled with but more of a personal preference.
We will definitely be returning
Beautiful hotel
The hotel and staff were excellent . Our lagoon room was ‘strange’ but the beautiful lagoon outside made up for that . When the lagoon was lit up at night it was magical . The restaurants in the hotel were the low point . Only generally one open at night and only one bar open at night . The menu in Pineapple was more like snack bar quality . Top was ok but should have been better, it just missed in quality and service. The breakfasts were adequate , the orange juice was not freshly squeezed . The hot section was uninviting , dry scrambled eggs , other dishes that looked like left over vegetables. The pastries were not very fresh . The fruit was good . Such a pity as the hotel is stunning . If I went back I would definitely only eat out in one of the many fine restaurants in Caleta and Adeje.

Summer Holiday
For a family holiday with adult kids aged 30, 28 and 23 The Royal River simply cannot be beaten. Fabulous Championship golf next door for my husband and son. Padel, a gym and sublime spa inside the hotel. We all had different spa treatments and they were all as good as any top spa in the UK or oversees. Champagne at the rooftop bar and restaurant just magical with the most incredible views of the Island. A fabulous concierge service for restaurant reservations, car hire and day trips. Shout out to Rafa who went above and beyond with each request. Our Villa with 3 double bedrooms and a private pool could not have worked out any better. Plenty of space for everyone with 5 star wrap around service at our fingertips. Morning room service by Blanca and evening turn downs meant our space was always absolutely immaculate. Breakfast with the freshest of ingredients led by the fabulous Nancy,.Even a harpist playing beautifully while pancakes freshly made in front of us.
We usually holiday in mainland Europe in July and August. However the temperatures have been in the 40’s. The climate here in Tenerife has been perfect at a constant high 20’s which has made the trip even more perfect.
We hired a car for a sunset in Mount Teide and a day trip to La Gomera, both highly recommended, For a morning stroll you can walk beautiful coastal walkways from the hotel, down to La Caleta, Costa Adeje and onto Playa de Las Americas.
This trip has been outstanding and will live long in the memory. Huge thanks to all the staff who go above and beyond to make this one of the best 5 star hotels we have ever stayed in. Thank you so much

My husband and I booked the Royal River for our honeymoon and the hotel did not disappoint. The hotel and room was absolutely beautiful and we would highly recommend a villa that has a private pool leading out to the lazy river! As for the staff, they were incredible. Sadly, my husband was hospitalised whilst we were away on our honeymoon and the care, compassion and support to us both made a difficult time so much easier. If you are thinking about staying, I would encourage you to book as we couldn't fault a single thing!
Hotel fine, restaurant service terrible.
My partner and I went to the hotel restaurant for a meal. After ordering our food my meal soon arrived, but we had to wait another 10 minutes for my partner's meal to come to the table, by which time my meal was cold. Another 10 minutes passed before my side order of chips was served; at least they were hot. I mentioned my dissatisfaction with the service and the response was for the employee to complain that he was very busy. Since only 4 tables were occupied I didn't think he was exactly rushed off his feet.
