The most amazing hotel, service and staff. We stayed in the level but even so top Marks, even though this is not. Top grade Hotel for them the standards are excellent, if there was one criticism to eat only In the buffet restaurant when there are two other restaurants which ate mostly empty most Of the time and pay for the privilege is a downer for us this is the only reason we would not come back here. But 10/10 otherwise.small tip pay for level half board and you get free soft drinks tea, coffee champagne wine beers, al day, plus premium drinks 4-6.
Arrived at the Melia after a flight delay getting in after 11pm. Check in was quick and we were left to negiotate getting to our room by ourselves. We seen many guests being escorted to their rooms with drinks on arrival so unsure whether this is just if you arrive during the day. We were delighted with our room despite a huge cockroach arriving from the balcony into our room and running under the bed. Thankfully he was the first and last one we encountered! Our room had a huge superking sized bed and a sofa bed. The bed was super comfy but the sofa bed was not. Our view was lovely and looked over to the sea and we did enjoy sitting there watching the paragliders and boats. There was only 2 seats on the balcony despite there being 3 of us. Plenty of room for storage and the shower was strong with Rituals shampoo, conditioner and bodywash. Towels changed daily and beds made up daily too. We were never asked whether we wanted to upgrade to the Level so can't comment on that. The food was just above average. Decent choices but for fussy eaters like my husband they might struggle. Restaurant and bar staff were attentive and friendly. We did eat in the Italian restaurant which as we were all inclusive we could eat there once during our stay. A 3 course meal which was lovely. Entertainment at night was generally good. Mainly singers but there was Ethiopian dancers one night and an African themed show another night. Not much happening round the pool during the day but we did go to the aloe vera making class and the glass jewellery class. Both were excellent and my daughter and I came home with very pretty necklaces. A really nice keepsake. We visited Las Americas by taking the local bus and getting a taxi back. The hotel shuttle bus leaves daily at 11am and returns at 4.40pm. You can walk to were it drops you off, literally 5 minute journey away. There is a market on a few minutes walk away down the hill every Thursday and Saturday. It's very very busy and hot so take water.
The main reason we probably won't come back to this hotel is it is huge and to get from our room to the pool took 3 lifts and a lot of walking. We tried not to forget anything in the room as it was a trek to go back. The pool needs cleaned or emptied and painted as it's affectef badly with black slippy patches covering significant areas of the floor. Some of it you could see floating in the water as small black bits whilst swimming. The music played in the seating balcony area next to the restaurant sounds like on hold phone music and was quite annoying after a while. We stayed for a week which was definitely long enough as although it was a good hotel it doesn't have the wow factor which I had expected with it being a Melia hotel.
We were in Melia Jardins del Teide in mid July. We had All inclusive and in was great stay. Even if the beach isn't in front of the hotel it isn't too far. But it's down fhe hill, cca. 10 min by foot. It's one of the more beautiful beaches on Tenerife. Overallit was a great stay.
Me and my partner went on our first holiday together. When we arrived we were greeted by Alessio and another member of staff (apologies, I didn't catch his name), they were very pleasant. We were handed a small wet towel for our hands and face. Alessio provided excellent service, from taking our luggage, checking us in and taking us to our room. All the staff members made us feel so welcomed and the service was exceptional. There is a jewellery shop inside the hotel that had beautiful jewellery and I couldn't help but admire every time I walked past. Our room was big with a his and hers sink and a small terrace that was perfect to sit with morning coffee. The pool was my favourite part of the hotel, it was warm and very big. Me and my partner will be returning back to the hotel when we decide to come back to Tenerife. Thank you so much for a beautiful stay xx
The breakfast is excellent, with a wide variety of choices and good quality food. The entertainment is also good and enjoyable.
One thing to keep in mind is that the hotel is very Spanish-oriented rather than English-oriented. Food in the restaurants is quite expensive and not worth the money.
Unfortunately, the service from the pool supervisors was very disappointing. They often seemed unfriendly and focused on the wrong things. For example, they would stop guests from casually throwing a small ball in an almost empty pool, while at the same time doing very little to deal with the issue of sunbeds being reserved for hours by guests who weren’t using them.
Our air conditioning broke down twice during our stay. It leaked so much that we had to use all of our towels to catch the water. When we asked for clean replacement towels, our request was accepted but we waited for half an hour and they didn’t come. Considering that we had to leave we used the swimmingpool towels instead.
On the positive side, the room itself was comfortable, and housekeeping did an excellent job keeping it clean every day.
