We are currently staying here at the Bougainville Playa. The hotel is ok, rooms are very basic but clean. Location is great. The lifts are shocking, we were stood waiting for the lifts for 10 mins tonight and ended up having to walk 8 floors down to the restaurant. We opted for half board as myself and my husband do not drink. The restaurant is great of a morning but totally different of an evening. You can’t even have a drink of water without someone pouncing on you to tell you you’re not allowed it and have to pay. First time ever I’ve had to pay for water in a hotel restaurant. Certain areas were out of bounds to us and we felt like we’re being treated like second class citizens. Never ever in my life have I been made to feel this way for wanting a drink of water with my meal before. Surely water should be free to all. The food isn’t great but we have made the decision to eat elsewhere for the duration of the holiday. I paid £2300 for a week half board and being made to feel like the poor relation isn’t acceptable.
My sister and I had a lovely time. The hotel was pretty basic but clean. Anna and Kristina on reception were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. They are both a great asset to the hotel. The evening buffet wasn't much to talk about. Although we were half board, we ate out most evenings. We were right on the strip....a great location with access to multiple good restaurants. Overall though, I would stay here again.
Wonderful hotel Great for families Buffet meals lovely.. a great choice My 3 you ng grandchildren loved the pools and the buffet.. the crepe chef who made pancakes in a favourite shape was awesome
Excellent hotel very spacious very family friendly, we went star prestige half board don’t think it’s worth the extra cost personally for what you get, an extra star prestige room is needed i think on the floor with the toilets, the larger on tap is not the best in my opinion, also water is available free 24h but when you go for dinner you have to pay for it this doesn’t make sense
Hotel absolutely beautiful, clean tidy, drinks proper drinks, staff were absolutely amazing with my son, but omar was the best my infant took to him sp well...
