This hotel is located on the promenade of San Eugenio, just steps from Playa del Bobo beach. There are a lot of shops and entertainment venues just minutes away, as well as public transport links nearby. Puerto de Colón is located nearby, where guests can enjoy boating and fishing trips. New Star Prestige area with personalized service, facilities and comfortable rooms. This is a great hotel for families with children as it counts with useful services and facilities specially designed for the little ones, such as a new Star Camp area and several fantastic swimming pools with sunbeds for adults to sunbathe or enjoy a moment of relaxation. Guest rooms are luminous and offer a fresh and modern style to guarantee a memorable stay.
The dress code to access the main restaurant consists of formal clothes for gentlemen, such as long pants during dinners.

Enjoyable stay
Have been to this hotel many times. The problems the hotel has had over the past times have not been addressed. The lifts are the main problem with one break down a day, sometimes more than one some days. The food is good, but have fewer choices than the year before, as has occurred every time we have been. The rooms are good, with plenty of room and electric sockets, bathroom and shower good, but some mould on the shower ceiling. Generally the hotel is very clean but with the age of the building looking tired in some areas, but the building was being painted whilst we were there. The location is good for a short to the beach, plenty of local bars and shops. Lastly is the kids water area with slides. It does seem to attract rather BIG children, but looks brilliant.
Still a good hotel
Just come back again from the Bougainville, our 23rd time, so that shows how we like this hotel.I can understand the lift situation with breakdowns, and rooms needing updating, but the pluses outweigh the negatives, and we look forward to next October 2027 again.

The Lifts!!!
Lovely hotel - the staff, rooms, food and facilities were great! We also enjoyed the Pilates/yoga session and the aqua zumba classes. Our only complaint would be about the lifts - they were so slow and unreliable!! It was hard work climbing the stairs on a daily basis due to the non appearance of a lift! Two of the lifts broke down during our week, but were then fixed, but it was still a LONG and frustrating wait for a lift to come!!! If you have mobility issues, or a buggy with young children, it would be difficult! Other than that, we would definitely return! Thank you to everyone at the Iberostar Bougainville!!! 👏👏🙏😃👍

Good hotel for all age groups
A return visit staying as a Star Prestige guest I had my usual good stay experiencing fine facilities,friendly staff and clean rooms. Unfortunately the lifts were a problem with one being out of of order my whole stay.I walked down,but not everyone was able to manage this.At break fast time there was a good wait for a lift. A previous contributor mentioned inadequate air con in bar area and I ascertained the goverment has mandated hotel common areas cannot have air con set lower than 27c.This is to save energy.Presumably all hotels must adhere to this. No problem with getting sunbeds around the pool. Overall an excellent stay,which Iberostar usually offers.Will return

Great hotel. Absolutely clean and well maintained. Rooms are a good size and comfortable. Balconies are smallish but enough room for two however with solid walls not great sitting for views. Food is of a great standard with a really good variety and fresh. Snack bar has a very good quality of snacks and more. Location is great - five minutes to the beach and right beside facilities and shops. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Lifts are busy at breakfast with waits. Lots of sitting areas around hotel. Plenty of space and sunbeds at any time.
