Budget Hotel

The food was perfectly adequate, lots of choice for all three meals, a combination of British and local cuisine. There's no Maitre d' on the door of the Restaurant so it's quick to get into the facility, but that did open it up for unaccompanied children to come in and grab food from the servery with their bare hands. Really enjoyable food.

The Cleaners were honest and did their job very well. There were insects in our room, but this didn't seem unusual for the region, no surprise.

We hired a kettle for our room. There were no mugs or cups provided(!) but you can make hot drinks in the glasses provided. Be aware that that there's no cookware to use with the hob either. We weren't going to use the hob anyway so no disappointment there. I believe they are going to upgrade the kitchenettes.

The patio area comes with a washing line. We were pleased we brought our own pegs to use with it.

Be advised that some of the accommodation floors are underground and have a very unusual layout. The underground floor corridors and balcony/patio areas are flooded natural with light from above by way of large shafts. I've never seen anything like it in my life. The room we had was huge.

We were disappointed to hear from the Receptionist that the WiFi would not reach our room on floor 1. We were grateful for her honesty, but no streaming for us unless we were up in the Bar Hall or around Pool. We also couldn't get a reliable mobile signal in our room. The Reception team were friendly and hard-working.

The water in the Pool was warm for September and the sunbeds new and comfortable. Service at the Pool Bar was quick and there's lots of choice. If you want a parasol you need to pay extra for that. Dino worked hard to entertain the children. Good on him.

A €20 deposit is payable for the Air Conditioning Remote but we knew about this in advance so, fair enough. The Air Con was really effective and it was fitted in the bedroom and the sitting room.

There's no Tourist Tax to pay.

If you have wide plug adapters you'll find that you can't use the sockets next to the bed without it holding down one of the light switches when you plug it in. Bring narrow adapters.

There are a few shops and bars nearby. 2 litres of water will set you back €1.50 and lots of the bars were offering a pint for €2. One of the supermarkets was selling out of date food, so watch out for that. If you are easily freaked by mobility scooters and e-scooters zipping by you this isn't the resort for you. There are also 'adult' establishments nearby which wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea. If you bring children be prepared to answer questions about some of the more explicit looking gifts available in the local shops!

If you are going down to the Beach there is a hidden elevator/lift. Turn right out of the hotel and then take first right sharply downhill to the main road. Cross over to an Oriental Slow Boat Restaurant with 2 gold lions outside. To the right of this restaurant is a cafe and near that there's a lift which serves the car park. If you go to the lowest floor you come out at the bottom of the car park a few yards from the beach. On the way back up you can either use a series of motion-sensored outdoor escalators or use the lift.

There's a Courtesy Room for your luggage on the last day but it is unattended and away from Reception, we chose not to use it.

The hotel was OK, but we probably won't ever return.

Not to bad

Well as far as 3 star hotels go this wasn't bad at all. Went with couple mates for the week. Room was decent size pool view (513 floor 4) ask for floor 4 or above, there are rooms in the basement.

Food was as you'd expect, I read reviews saying it was cold but I never found that at all, it is simple and repetitive but still I found plenty to eat. Drinks round pool come in small paper cups so take a plastic pint size glass they will fill that for you. Inside glasses are used. Cocktails mot the best (out of a machine) bar furniture needs replacing (couches) are a bit grubby. Pool is quite good, temperature just right, never had issue finding sunbed bud artifical grass needs replacing.

Entertainment not the best but tolerable. Maids in everyday, towels changed twice a week bedding once a week. WiFi is very intermittent and costs extra, I didn't need it as my plan allowed free roaming so worth checking yours or getting a bolt on. Safe is extra thinks was 2.50 euros per day with 6 euros deposit back. Hired a kettle again 10 euros deposit back. What I didn't agree with is having to hire a parasol 2 euros per day, to me that's a bit greedy, also the covers for the sunbed, but I didn't use any as sunbeds were fine.

Hotel is clean, waiters and reception were fine. Soul city is pub right next to hotel, small and friendly, actually had breakfast there twice 4. 50 euros, proper bacon and fried bread lol, well worth it. Loads bars restaurants around, temple bar was my favourite 10 mins walk away, excellent food and drink, amazing cocktails. Any football fans, the drunken striker is another great venue, Hugos is ran by Dave, a massive Sunderland fan like me and my mates, shows all Sunderland games live, book a table as it gets busy, great beer to. Air con is not free you have to pay for remote as with TV, but you get deposits back. Our air con was already on so we scored there, just enough to keep the room nice abd cool. So check before you hire remote

So overall I found adeje beach hotel pretty decent for a 3 star, but loads to do out abd about. Finally if you like Indian curry then visit Masala Zone opposite hotel 100 yards down it was amazing.

Great holiday

Amazing holiday and lovely hotel. Staff friendly. Room was spacious and clean and we had a lovely view of the pool and sea from balcony. Evening entertainment was abit repetative but was still good with singers, parrot show, snake show, bingo and karaoke. The food was good and there was something for everyone - even us fussy eaters! The fresh meat grill was fab. Shops, beach, resteraunts and bars and in close walking distance. Enjoyed it that much we are about to book to go back next year!

Great Hotel

Great hotel, very clean but a little dated. Nice food with plenty of choice. Food was very good and we always found something to eat. Rooms are very spacious. Most staff were very nice. Pools were nice and so was the pool bar. Lots of things need a deposit such as air conditioner remote or have extra costs such as paying to use the safe or pay for a parasol around the pool. Entertainment was bad in this hotel. Daytime entertainment was the worst I have ever seen and Dino only did basic activities and not much of them at that. Evening entertainment was not great either as a lot of bad singing acts and very little variety apart from snake and parrot show. Entertainment let this hotel down, everything else was fine.
