Great family hotel
This was not our first visit to the hotel . We were welcomed warmly on arrival by Noella at reception , who is exceptional . Our rooms were fine but despite having asked for good sized terraces we had tiny balconies barely big enough for a table and two chairs.Our suite was very old fashioned and in need of refurbishment. However the view was outstanding . The hotel staff are all very good especially Donald in El Berengal and the Trattoria, he goes, above and beyond ,to ensure that guests are looked after. The breakfast buffet is outstanding , so much choice and all very fresh . To summarise , it would be difficult to find a better hotel to suit such a wide age range of family . We shall be back !

Bahia Del Duque an excellent hotel in a great location
We stayed at Casas Ducales from 18–27 September and I recommend staying there. We arrived early at the hotel and to our joy were able to check-in within 1 hour of arriving. Our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Housekeeping, particularly Liz, had it looking fresh and welcoming every time we returned to the room. We received excellent service from nearly all staff throughout our stay. Afternoon tea was a nice occasion made more special by the professional, friendly service from Milan. It was also very nice to enjoy complimentary pre-dinner drinks sitting outside chatting with fellow guests. A special thank you must go to the Concierge Patrick who was extremely helpful to us on a number of occasions and also other guests.
Breakfast at El Bernegal was an extravagance with so much choice of quality food along with exceptional service from all the staff in the most beautiful of settings.
Besides local restaurants we also dined at a few of the hotel restaurants, our favourite being the Beach Club where Roberto, Anna Maria and Luis made it a very special occasion. Upalupa was also very good for lunch and delicious cocktails. Unfortunately we did not enjoy dining at La Trattoria. One meal was good but the other meal was not eaten due to its unsavoury taste. When told of our dissatisfaction with the meal the staff just took it away without a word. This was the only time we came across poor food and bad service.
Had a relaxing visit to the Spa.
We look forward to returning to Bahia Del Duque next year.

Magnificent in every aspect.
What a magnificent hotel. Fabulous on all levels, conscientious house keeping, attentive but not intrusive dining staff. Vigilant pool attendants (child pool fantastic). Meticulous ground staff. Just fantastic and we will save very hard to try to have the opportunity to come again.

Lovely but not a leading hotel of the world standard!
Having stayed at a beautiful leading hotels of the world hotel in June,and having visited Adeje twice yearly in other 5 star hotels in the area for the past 6 years I was very saddened by this hotel as my expectations were high on this! Despite being set in beautiful grounds based on the design of a Canarian village ( which I loved) and having beautiful interiors around the hotel namely the reception lobby bar and restaurant square, it just simply was not of the standard of a LHW. Firstly I want to say the staff and the service was excellent and I couldn’t fault that and it made our stay enjoyable, however without being one of those people who pull everything apart in a review I just want to touch on the parts that I personally felt let the hotel standard down. If you have mobility issues you will struggle in this hotel as there are steep steps everywhere!! It wasn’t an issue for myself personally but it was for my partner and although the staff will willingly get you a buggy it might be something to consider. Rooms… we booked a double room garden view which was a good spacious size with a little balcony which was lovely; however the balcony set in the vegetation wasn’t swept once in the week we were there. The room itself was good in housekeeping standards, although the air conditioning needs modernising as it’s so noisy and dated you can’t sleep with it on and the television which does have some English channels if you fancy some viewing has very bad reception so it dips in and out of signal! We was on a half board basis at the hotel so got to choose 4 out of the 7 restaurants to have dinner in which was lovely and we could pick the fine dining options with a discount if we wanted. Enjoyed all the restaurants personally but take note all restaurants that HB can use have quite a few additional supplements on all the dishes so not entirely inclusive. Saying that all the restaurants we used the food was excellent Again the staff were lovely and the service was excellent in all of them Pool areas…. To me this is the biggest let down! …set amongst the gardens and all salt water pools amongst a rock pool aesthetic so very picturesque however all crowded and desperately in need of some maintenance and refreshing The surrounds to the pool in the pool upstairs were crumbling in parts and had loosened creating little stones and the parasols were dirty and nigh on impossible to navigate as they had no wheels on them and generally the pool areas were shabby and not reminiscent of a 5 star leading hotel of the world! Also don’t expect plenty of toilet facilities either which I found a bit surprising more than anything…. The large pool downstairs only had a toilet cabin with 2 cubicles to serve the whole area which was very large. I wanted so badly to love this hotel as I’ve walked past it endless times along the Duque beach front but sadly it was not anywhere near as luxurious as it is portrayed and I wouldn’t return on the strength of that

Return visit
Another fantastic holiday in such a stunning hotel, thank you to everyone who works so hard to make it so special. Looking forward to our next return trip. Everywhere so clean , loving seeing all the cats and special black swan quite at home. My only negative is the food quality and service in the restaurants was not as good as on previous visits
