Spacious ensuite rooms have cool tiled floors, air conditioning and large patio doors leading out to a furnished private balcony. Last time for us
So this was our first time back to the G F Gran since its refurbishment. Our previous two visits were fantastic, so we were really looking forward to getting back and seeing the new look. Unfortunately it was a let down. Now don't get me wrong, the new rooms were really nice, but have to say those and the new "Jungle Bar" roof top bar is about the only compliment I can give. Its seems like things have gone backwards.
This time quite a few of the staff were rude, this was on the pool bar (one of the bar staff lads clicking his fingers at me and basically hating his life) and in the restaurant literally throwing the eggs onto my plate. There were other instances as well, but this definitely wasn't like this the first times we went. The foods gone right back as well, very poor compared to a couple of years ago, and no way 5 star quality. We only used it a couple of times then ended up eating out instead so a complete waste of money going all inclusive.
One of the main reasons I booked years ago, and again now was the sunbed situation. There used to be pool staff in the mornings that would stop anyone reserving them with towels. This meant you could go for breakfast and still get a decent bed with no hassle, well thats stopped now. The best beds had towels on them way before the restaurant even opened which meant you had to try and get a bed further away from the pool area, plus most people didn't return to the beds they'd reserved until the afternoon and that again never used to happen. This really does annoy me hence one of the reason we won't return.
We were all inclusive, but the room had no bath robes (it took us 3 attempts to get them) The mini bar was empty no water or anything. No iron (apparently theres only a few for the whole hotel) and to top it off we had screaming babies in the room next to us.
Two of the lifts were out of order, now we like to get our steps and stairs in through the day (we were on the 5th floor) so not to big of a deal but when leaving it took an age to actually get one, then because only one was working it kept going up then back down. This was very frustrating.
No we go to Costa Adeje 3 times a year and we actually had the G F booked again for November but I cancelled that while we were there and changed to a different hotel. For the prices they charge and being a 5 star your stay and experience should be fantastic but unfortunately ours was a let down.
Now while this was having the refurbishment we stayed at quite a few different 5 star hotels, and in my eyes the G F has some competition out there, so can't really afford to be letting people down, and reading a few of the reviews they aren't doing themselves any favours.
Staff in restaurant are terrible
Here on a 2 week holiday The hotel is lovely but the restaurant staff are very rude and rush u every 2 minutes to leave the table and the restaurant manager is very rude
Amazing hotel.
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, this hotel didn’t let us down. A complementary bottle of fizz was delivered to our room as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Over the moon at this but the very next day we received another as it was my husband birthday. Everywhere was very clean. From the room to the pool area to the restaurant. The food was very good. The Asian & Mexican evenings were exceptional. The view of the sun rising over the magnificent mountains was the view from our room and visit to the “Jungle” the rooftop cocktail bar just as the sun was setting is a must. Entertainment was good but some could be better. But that’s my opinion. But what made the holiday was how ALL staff were pleasant, polite and professional. Would we go again. Definitely.

First stay
My partner and I recently stayed here for a long weekend, and we had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The hotel is beautiful and maintained to an exceptionally high standard. Our room was spacious, airy, and incredibly comfortable, with a tasteful, modern renovation that made it feel luxurious. We booked the all inclusive package and were pleasantly surprised to find that it included branded drinks. The food was fresh, of excellent quality, and there was a great variety available at every meal, so there was always something to suit everyone’s tastes. The dining areas were spotless, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and worked hard to ensure everything ran smoothly. The pools were clean and perfect for cooling off in the hot weather. Despite the hotel being busy, there were always plenty of sun loungers available, no matter what time of day we headed to the pool. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing, high quality holiday.

Second time even better than the first!
Loved our second stay here more than the first, One of my favourite all time hotels. Friendly and helpful staff, clean, great food and drinks (we where on all inclusive, but not all drinks are included) Great stay. Few points that could make this on of the best hotels - Poolside drinks service and ambiance music at the adult pool, The night time entertainment layout felt a little disjointed with odd viewing angles but the rest of it was all great.
