What can I say. There are no words to explain how good Ismael is at his job. Came here last year and the change in him is huge. He has blossomed since last year came in leaps and bounds. He is a genuine guy and would help whenever he could.
He was also great at getting people to join in on the activities. Isma is a good man and friendly
We stayed here previously in 2019 and had a good experience so gave it another go, we booked a superior room with air con and it was a game changer to help sleep, the kitchen area was tired but really clean, the whole site is cleaned every day, the only real gripe I had is that we were on the ground floor just above the gym and they have a class on at 7am every morning, suppose we could have asked to be moved but we just put up with it, we wernt all inclusive so cant comment on the food. Theres not much goin on around the pool during the day but this suited us, the kids enjoyed just jumping around in the pool for hours! We would deffo return but will ask to be away from the gym!!!
The main thing everyone have to know before booking is to check if the room you have choose have aircon, as unfortunately they do charge extra for room with aircon otherwise you will only have an electric fan which is not suitable in heat. Also the food is not brilliant and mainly similar food you get on daily basis for lunch and dinner. The best is a breakfast if you are English but also can be sometimes cold. Also at least in the room we been given the bath if you have shower is very slippery I was 28 weeks pregnsnt when we went so had to very careful to don't slip while have a shower, the showers head won't stay on and keep sliding down. The rooms definitely need some upgrade as they old. The prons are fact you close to both beaches with walking distance of 10min,also outside the hotel your have multiple shops for any essentials from the supermarket. The smaller pool is lovely and quiet, don't need to fight for beds or queue to the bar which is big plus.
What a brilliant holiday we had! Ismael from the entertainment team made our experience at this hotel. He is very friendly, happy and always up for some fun and games. We really appreciated that he always made time for us. Great to see how much he has grown within his role in the entertainment team. Great hotel, clean and comfy rooms and good selection of food. Thank to Ismael and the team.
Enjoying an incredible week at El Duque. This wouldn't be the first time and it never ceases to feel like a home away from home. The hotel room was clean, quiet and air conditioned which was definitely a bonus.
Ismael is a wonderful soul inside and out and made our stay memorable. He has come on so much since our previous stay and he just gets better and better. We were definitely kept busy with activities and he was more than willing to put on a few extra! Absolute credit to the team.
