We recently returned from a fantastic 10-night stay at the Domes Baobab Suites in Tenerife. The property itself is absolutely beautiful and we were delighted with our spacious two-bedroom Iago apartment, which was beautifully appointed.
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making our stay truly enjoyable. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and offered a wide variety of options. For a quick bite during the day, the poolside bar was also a great choice.
Another hidden gem is the availability of Padel courts in the sports centre just across the street. These courts are perfect for a game and also make for a great spot to watch the World Cup games in the evening.
While other reviewers have mentioned the short walk from the hotel to the beach, be prepared for a steep ascent back up. It would be in the Hotels interest to provide a small shop on-site where you can pick up essentials like milk and bread, avoiding the trek to the nearest Spar or convenience store.
Overall, our stay was incredibly relaxing and comfortable. We highly recommend the Baobab Suites as a fantastic holiday destination in Adeje.
This was our 3rd time here as a couple. Second time in a divinity lago room which has a jacuzzi on the balcony. We requested the same room as before as we liked the larger balcony & cushioned loungers & were very happy to get the same one, mm307 highly recommended! Lovely warm welcome & a glass of fizz on arrival. A new WhatsApp assistant service which is good for any quick queries & issues and very responsive. Very relaxing, beautiful views, lovely walks - it is up a long hill but we enjoyed the walking. We love the activate gym across the road for an early morning workout. The buffet breakfast is beautiful although a couple of days there were very long queues waiting for tables but the food is very good & worth the wait. We have had breakfast boxes previously but the choices are now more limited so we didn’t order this time. It was my husband’s birthday during our stay & they surprised him by leaving a cake & bottle of cava on ice in our room, along with a drinks voucher to use in the BB lounge….. such a lovely gesture. Our slight disappointment was that the BB Lounge was not open for breakfast as this was the absolute highlight of the holiday before, apparently it’s open for breakfast in July? The sunloungers on the balcony were looking a little tired & maybe need updating but apart from those 2 small issues everything else was perfect. The icing on the cake was being given a late checkout as we had a late flight home, it made the last day so much better & we really did appreciate that gesture. We will 100% be returning as soon as possible!
Sitting at the top of the Costa Adeji area the Baobab was the perfect setting for our 10 night family holiday.
Upon arrival we were greeted with water, lollipops for the kids and a glass of fizz for the parents, making the check in process nice and straight forward. Our room wasn’t ready, so we left our bags to explore the area and when we returned just after 3pm, our cases were already in our room and we were shown up.
Our room was on floor 5A and was a two bedroom corner suite (Akami 204) which meant we had a wrap around balcony allowing views of the mountains and sea.
The suit was excellent, with all the amenities and it was the small touches such as the bottles of water and replenishing the dishwasher tablets and towels daily which made the stay effortless. You were also able to get additional towels when arriving at the pool for the day, and this was the first holiday ever, we didn’t take any towels with us.
The pools were great and we never had an issue getting a bed (see below), with the pool bar close by albeit we didn’t use it massively across the holiday.
In the surrounding area, it’s about a 10 min walk down the hill to the Duke Shops, which was where the Hiperdino was and a number of other shops, bars and restaurants. A further 10 mins and you’re on the sea front with the mass of bars and restaurants.
It’s a €15 taxi ride to Las Americas and about a €10 taxi to the centre of Adeji (Temple Bar and Ginger Pig for example) if you want to explore a little further afield.
The hotel had a kids club which our two youngest (9&11) went to on the last day and wished they’d gone sooner! There are a number of other hotel amenities such as hairdressers and spa which we didn’t use.
The activate sports club is across the road and you do get free use of the gym (we didn’t as wanted to relax on holiday 😂) . There are also Padel and Beach Vollyball courts but these do cost money and for me, the cost for a family whilst not extortionate did put us off using them more. Padel cost us c€40 euros for an hour with racquet hire and Beach Vollyball €35 without the ball which is why we only did Padel once. I’d have expected a reduced rate for those staying in the hotel to be honest.
The breakfast buffet was a real treat, from the glass of Cava to the fruit juices and choices of cooked and savory options, our kids in particular loved it every day. The staff were always friendly and couldn’t do enough to help.
Overall a hotel I can’t fault in the slightest. My only feedback is after around 10:30 there was a challenge for folk getting sun beds and this could be resolved by putting more around the pool.
But this is a fantastic hotel. The staff were excellent, kind and friendly and we’d not hesitate to come back.
It’s ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from our family 👍🏻
Wow what a place. The accommodation was top notch and beds were so comfy. The apartment was spacious and well equipped, tv with English channels and air con etc. The views of sea and mountains were breath-taking. Special thank you to all staff who were always happy to help whether to book the free taxi to the beach or book a restaurant. Special mention to Dina who went above and beyond we will miss her and class her as a friend.. I cannot see anyone moaning about this place. Great pools our room was approx 10 meters from pool on level 3 so like having your own pool. 10/10 don't hesitate to stay at this property you will not be disappointed.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Amazing Family Holiday!
We’ve just returned from a wonderful 10-night stay at Baobab Suites and wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who made our holiday so special.
From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and everyone genuinely seemed to care that guests had the best possible stay.
A special thank you to Dina for her fantastic recommendations for restaurants and shopping—the paella restaurant she suggested was amazing! We’d also like to thank her for the lovely surprise waiting for us when we returned to our room. It was such a thoughtful and kind gesture and was very much appreciated. 🥂🍰☺️
The hotel itself is absolutely spotless and beautifully maintained. Even though it was fully booked during our stay, it never felt crowded. We think this is because so many suites have private pools, which means the main pool areas remain peaceful and relaxing.
The location is perfect too—quiet and tranquil, yet only a 10-minute walk from the busier part of Costa Adeje, so you really do get the best of both worlds. We also loved the gym, which was a great bonus.
Our only disappointment was that we didn’t have enough time to do everything we wanted to do! We’ll simply have to come back again. We rarely return to the same hotel because there are so many places we still want to visit, but Baobab Suites is the exception. All four of us would return in a heartbeat.
Thank you again for giving us such a memorable family holiday. Our children, aged 14 and 16, absolutely loved every minute of it too. We left with wonderful memories and can’t wait to visit again.
