The Colon Guanahani does it again!!
Another fabulous holiday at the Colon Guanahani in Costa Adeje. Its in a great location close to shops, nice shopping centres, the sea front,beach, market, cafes bars and restaurants. All within easy walking. The hotel is really relaxed, staff are absolutely fantastic from reception, restaurants, pool bar, cleaning ladies, socarista, absolutely everyone there is brilliant, working hard to ensure your holiday is a great one. Always polite, friendly and helpful. Rooms are cleaned daily, good size, lovely shower and a separate dressing room. Water left everyday and has a coffee machine too. Fridge to keep the water cold is a godsend. It was boiling hot when we were there. Restaurant was easy going, gents you need trousers from Sept onwards over the winter for dinner but I soon changed into shorts afterwards. Food choice good enough for all tastes. Breakfast was brill and dinner was relaxing and choice was plentiful. Staff were fab as usual. Plenty of sunbeds to be had. We sat on the terrace which was quiet. Rooftop pool is wonderful with views across Adeje. There is no aqua aerobics, no loud music, no fighting for sunbeds, no stress....its what we love about it. Want an easy going, relaxed holiday, with a lovely atmosphere and staff who are wonderful...im not sure there is anywhere better in Costa Adeje. Well done everyone keep up the great work. As Arnie says...I'LL BE BACK !!! 🤣

Best Hotel in Adeje
Have just returned from another fantastic week's holiday at Colon Guanahani. We were here in April and have a return visit planned for December. This is an excellent small adult only hotel in a great location. Excellent facilities and amazing food. The staff are all really attentive and make the holiday even more special. If you are after noise and big entertainment then this is not the place for you. The hotel is ideal for relaxing and enjoying the quiet ambience that it offers. We have stayed in larger hotels and know the difference that it makes being in tranquil and relaxing surroundings. Currently counting down to our next stay, can't wait!

Good location
Rooms were great and daily cleaning was provided. The location was central and everything was in walking distance (though at top of a long hill) We were 2 friends travelling together and found the pool area very quiet.. There was no music or chatter and so no atmosphere. We felt like we could only whisper. We are just home and at that time of year, the hotel mainly catered to 60+ so keep in mind if looking for a livelier stay.

Reception staff approachable and friendly room was lovely nice touch with the water refilled every day etc but the staff especially at the bar at 6pm onwards very rude and moody especially the ol der man and the older lady she is terrible this is our 2nd visit and she was very off the first time . Few other guest noticed this . Also had a bad experience with our towels being removed from our beds we went to the shop and was gone 50 mins (as we dont agree with leaving towels on beds ) our belongings were with Reception and he told us we were only allowed 40 mins this is ridiculous! We reported a member of the bar staff and got told the manager would get back to us she never! .not good enough bad management. So we won't be returning

Absolutely fantastic stay
Absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff were very pleasant, friendly and willing to assist with anything we needed help with. The location of this hotel is ideal as Playa De Fanebe is a 5 minute walk around the corner, the beach again in a 5 minute walk and a taxi rank is located opposite the hotel. *note supermarkets around the hotel close at 10pm so if you have a late flight chances are you probably won’t make it to a supermarket.
The pool area is a chilled laid back vibe with no music or vaping or smoking allowed around the pool only on balconies. The cocktails and beers buyable from the little bar next to the pool are fairly reasonable in price and are made quick and brought to your sun lounger for you or if you wished you could sit in the bar. However swimming clothing (bathers and swim trunks) are not allowed in the bar areas.
Rooms and bed are fairly spacious with walk in wardrobe and huge shower in the bathroom with a seat provided in the shower for those who can’t stand for long. The A/C in the room is good but not that powerful for the Tenerife heat but gets the job done. The rooms are clearly well maintained after finding no dust or dirt anywhere. Minibar fridge keeps water icy cold for those very hot days.
Even though we didn’t go to the evening entertainment, there seemed to be something on every night.
A little side note: this hotel seems to be for older generations however if you like a chilled and relaxing hotel I’d highly recommend this hotel to any couple who wants a quiet holiday.
