MYND Adeje – Beautiful Hotel, Unfortunately the Wrong Location for Us
The hotel itself is beautiful, but the location unfortunately let it down for us.
The Hotel & Facilities
The hotel is modern, beautiful and has a real focus on sustainability and relaxation. There are fresh water fountains throughout the hotel, a lovely rooftop bar, and the maids come in every day. Beach towels are provided on arrival, the safe is free to use, and you can even cast your phone to the TV, which is a great touch.
Breakfast was beautiful, with an amazing choice of food. However, we found the dinner options quite limited and not really to our taste, so we ended up eating out quite a lot. Nebula restaurant, just across the road, was absolutely beautiful, with delicious food at reasonable prices. Definitely worth a visit!
The Wallet System
The hotel operates a prepaid wallet system, with €210 per person loaded for a week. You can use this for food and drinks throughout the day, whenever you like. Just be aware that any remaining balance expires at 12pm on your checkout day - you can preorder all items for your check out day to use remaining balance.
Late Checkout & Shower Facilities
We were previously quoted €20 for a late checkout until 2pm or €30 until 4pm, but unfortunately, we couldn’t extend our room until 4pm.
There is also a shower room available for €10 per person, which gives you 45 minutes and includes a drink. This is useful if you have a late flight and want to freshen up before heading to the airport. Luggage room is in the lobby - €1 to weigh cases if needed.
The Location
Unfortunately, this was the biggest downside for us. Although the hotel is marketed as being in Adeje, it is actually located in Callao Salvaje, which I personally feel is a little misleading if you’re expecting to be closer to the main tourist areas. The Callao salvaje area is rather run down with just a handful of shops and restaurants.
Getting to Fañabé takes around 40 minutes by bus (the bus stop is near Nebula restaurant) or approximately 15 minutes by taxi. Taxis can be expensive, though, so it’s something to factor into your budget. Walking isn’t really a practical alternative, with the journey taking several hours. Playa de las Américas is even further away.
The nearby beach was also disappointing. We expected black sand, but the beach itself felt very run-down and dirty. On the positive side, there are some absolutely beautiful beaches further along towards Playa del Duque, although our taxi there cost around €20.
There’s also some building works going on which sometimes was quite annoying but obviously cannot be helped.
Overall Verdict
MYND is a gorgeous hotel with lovely facilities, a relaxing atmosphere and an excellent breakfast. We really appreciated the sustainability features and the little extras that made the stay feel special.
However, if you’re looking for somewhere close to the main resorts, lively areas, beautiful beaches and plenty of things to do within walking distance, the location is something to seriously consider.
Overall, a beautiful hotel in the wrong location for us. If you’re happy to relax around the hotel or don’t mind paying for taxis to explore, you may absolutely love it.
Fabulous Spot
A special treat for my up coming 60th birthday. We had a swim up room which was amazing flowers and bubbly were waiting for me. Such a v happy stay the facilities were amazing immaculately clean and modern. Special mention to your cleaning staff they do such a good job. Beds super comfy and breakfast a wondrful range and choice. Thank you we will definitely be back.

5* to MYND Adeje
Having just returned from a week in the hotel - I wanted to say how much our family enjoyed the hotel/holiday. Everything about it was just first class. The food was delicious (special mention to Aurelio and the team - who were just such a kind and genuine). The choices were very healthy and it was just lovely. The hotel rooms and other areas were kept spotlessly clean - thank you to those folks. Also a shout out to the folks working in the rooftop bar - (especially Danny) - they served the most fantastic cocktails and always had a smile and a kind word to share with you. Over all this was a break away and it couldn't have been any better. Keep up the good work MYND - we would love to come back ! ! Finally another mention to the lady who conducted the yoga/sound sessions every day (which I attended and apologies I don't know her name) - she was brilliant - her teaching was exemplary and every practice session was so enjoyable - I loved it.

Super holiday at Mynd Adeje
We had a brilliant time. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the roof terrace with views. The breakfast was excellent and rooms lovely and clean.

Clean and modern hotel.
A very nice, modern and clean hotel. We had a lovely good sized room on floor 0 with a terrace overlooking the pool which was furnished with table, 2 comfortable chairs and a sun lounger. Room serviced daily. Very nice dining area and pool area with bar. Breakfast excellent. Rooftop bar is very nice although table service would be preferred. Gets a beautiful sunset overlooking La Gomera. All staff very pleasant. Yoga or exercise class 6 mornings a week taken by an excellent instructor. These were well attended and enjoyable. Our experience using the restaurant for dinner would have been improved if the service had been more attentive.
