Can not belive a 4 star hotel never had air conditioning, never been to a hotel weather it was 3 star or 5 star without it you get a fan in the room which sounds like a helicopter about to take off ,so open windows and get woke up by the bin van ar 3.30 am with it beepers beebing and trash being dumped in to wagon next night woke up at 4.30 with delivery but then it gets worse can't get a sunbed round pool cos they go at 9.00 by people waiting to charge and claim as many as they can so you think I know got 2 sunbeds on balcony lie there but no cos of the construction site that start drilling and banging at 9.00 in the morning none stop till late afternoon so I think go beach no cos it's just black ash let's talk about food all inclusive not good yes different theam each day but cold everything was cold not even Luke warm me and wife just kept saying it's only for 4 nights thank God now it was clean and the staff was nice but never again
No amazing features, but what it does have it does well !
I stayed here with my kids and had a poor experience. The staff was very rude, and the lack of air conditioning made the stay uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone traveling to the area.
3★ at most
Although we had a brilliant holiday because we met some lovely families and made the most of our time, I don’t feel this hotel deserves its advertised 4★ rating. There are quite a few areas that could be improved.
Firstly, there is no air conditioning in the rooms. I appreciate I didn’t notice this when booking, so that’s partly my own fault, but for a 4★ resort I think air conditioning is something most people would reasonably expect. The hotel provides one small fan per room, which simply isn’t enough in the summer heat. Portable air conditioning units are available to hire from reception, but at an additional cost of €10 per day.
The swimming pool is saltwater, and unfortunately all of the children in our group developed rashes or skin irritation after spending time in it. The water also seemed extremely salty, to the point where putting your head under was very painful on your eyes.
There also aren’t enough sunbeds around the pool for the number of guests staying at the hotel. As soon as the pool opens at 9am, people rush to reserve beds, with many then leaving them unused for hours, making it difficult for others to find somewhere to sit.
The food was probably the biggest disappointment. It was the poorest all-inclusive food we’ve experienced. The selection was limited, and most dishes were very bland, so meal times became quite repetitive.
I think the hotel has a lot of potential. The terrace where the children’s play area is could be a fantastic space, but the Bali beds and surrounding furniture looked tired, grubby and poorly maintained, meaning very few people used it.
The evening entertainment was also lacking. During our week there were only two nights with live entertainment—a saxophonist one evening and a singer on another. Both performers were very good and created a lovely relaxed atmosphere, but overall there simply wasn’t enough entertainment for a family resort, and it was all positioned right next to the restaurant.
One thing that particularly disappointed me was the service after checkout. We checked out at 11am, and despite having several hours before our transfer, we weren’t allowed to get a drink or even refill our children’s water bottles for the journey home. We were told this was because we’d started our all-inclusive package early, but we actually didn’t arrive until around 2pm on our first day, so this explanation didn’t seem fair. It left a rather poor final impression.
On a positive note, the rooms were lovely—freshly decorated, clean, comfortable and serviced daily by the housekeeping staff.
The area surrounding the hotel is also quite run down, with very little within walking distance.
Despite all of these criticisms, we genuinely did have a great holiday. We met some wonderful people and made the best of everything. However, based on our experience, I would personally rate this hotel as a 3★ rather than a 4★
Really enjoyed our stay in this hotel very friendly staff and food was decent, rooms were clean and a great atmosphere would definitely go back
