These wonderful apartments are located in Santa Ponsa, less than 20 kilometres from Palma de Mallorca. The property lies in an enviable location within 450 metres from a fabulous sandy beach and within ease of access to numerous local bars, restaurants, souvenirs shops and the closest golf course within only 2.5 kilometres from the hotel. Those who wish to explore the island and its rich culture may appreciate proximity of motorway entry. The hotel offers ample and bright units, each of them featuring gorgeous Mediterranean style including separate dormitory, living area with fully-equipped kitchenette and modern amenities. The hotel boasts several 3 outdoor swimming pools and wading pool for children. Patrons may have a refreshing drink at the shaded terrace, while the youngest ones may enjoy entertainment programme tailored for them or romp for hours at the children play area.
Lovely pool area and facilities, but feels like a prison camp!! We stayed as a family of 3 and friends of ours were staying across the road in sister hotel. As it wasn’t available 2 weeks after we booked. We went over one of the days to join them by the pool and ordered food & drinks, As we were eating our food we were approached by a Spanish lady who asked us were we residents, we said we were staying across in the sister hotel. We were told to leave. We left and were followed across the road by a blonde lady who I’m guessing was management who followed us all the way to our room, Every day we sat out by the pool she would walk around the pool and check wristbands and concentrate on us. Our 4 year old daughter had pulled off her wristband as she has sensitive skin. she marched us to reception to get a wristband. Then on our last morning we got a call on the phone in our room asking if we were not happy with hotel as we were across in the other hotel eating and drinking. I said we were just visiting friends, & they accused me of abusing the all inclusive deal. I told them both families were self catering. She then said ohh ok well we don’t allow people to use the facilities across the road. ( even though food is served over there) I don’t see how it matters that we were spending money in the other hotel eating & drinking. The only nice person we dealt was is Tony, He was a gent. The bar staff are rude and very little English , every drink order was wrong. The entertainment was terrible, hotel has serious potential, pool area is really good, Token system is a good idea but needs to be not as arrogant about it at bar/ reception. Apartment was lovely cleaned every other day and cleaners really friendly.
.
IT is perfect hotel for toddlers and preschoolers, just take grandparents with you! It is average condition Apartments and small pool area but it grows with you quickly because kids love it.
We are a family with 2 and a half year old twins. We felt the price was fair. When we arrived we found the hotel had put us into a ground floor apartment with a child safety gate on the terrace. We hadn’t asked for this, but this was appreciated and really worked for us.
Our twins loved this hotel. There is a splash park type area, where children can run around and also a toddler pool with a variety of slides. It is shallow, so my twins were able to walk round the pool / swim in the pool (under supervision). My children loved the swimming facilities.
The children’s entertainment was also excellent. The main entertainer is Saúl. He is absolutely brilliant - he clearly loves his job and the children loved him. He is a real credit to the hotel and they are lucky to have him. He was supported by equally lovely colleagues. There is entertainment in the morning with singing and dancing at the toddler pool. There is also singing and dancing on stage in the evening from about 2030pm (the kids disco). My children are only 2 and a half but loved it.
We stayed on a self catering basis. The small kitchen had everything we needed. There was no oven, but there were 2 hobs, microwave, fridge, cutlery and utensils and a table + 4 chairs. This worked for us.
There were two single beds pushed together, an additional single bed / camp bed, and a sofabed. We didn’t use the sofabed, but pushed the other beds together and we all slept well together.
We didn’t eat at the snack bar, but the food looked good and well priced.
We took an excursion to Palma Aquarium. There is a deal where you can buy tickets + bus altogether and the bus picks up and drops off at Jutlandia Apartments.
There is a small convenience shop 2 minutes walk from the hotel. There is also an Eroski supermarket 10 minutes walk away (which is Tesco or Asda sized) on street ‘Gran Via Puig Des Castellet’.
The town centre is a 5 min walk down the hill (down street ‘Gran Via Del Puig De Massanella’). The beach is another 2 min walk.
The only negative is that we were not allowed to buy coffee or drinks from the bar when we were waiting for our airport taxi, as we didn’t have the green band on our wrists. We felt this was a strange rule and not very helpful. Also, there is a sign outside the hotel pointing right to go to the beach, but the beach is actually straight on. We accept it is our mistake, but we felt the sign was confusing.
We would consider staying here again though.
We’ve recently stayed here for a week after many recommendations from people. We had a great time here - family of 4, kids aged 9 and 5.
The hotel itself isn’t massive, which is great. Check in was effortless and we managed to find our apartment very easily. We were self catering. Our apartment was tiny and basic. This didn’t bother us as we only stayed in the apartment to sleep and change/shower! Very cramped living area with sofa bed and pull out. The bedroom was a decent size and the bathroom is located inside the bedroom. What I didn’t like about the apartment was that the entrance is on the balcony. It was fine for us as the kids are passed the age of running off when they sniff a bit of freedom 😂 we did have a few incidents of another child running into our apartment or onto our balcony. I do believe you can get stair gates from reception to cover the gap.
The location of the hotel was spot on. Just a short walk to the beach and the strip. This was our first time in Santa Ponsa and I must say it is very disjointed.
The pool was what made the holiday. Our kids were like fishes and never left for the week. My only gripe about the pool was the parasols. I read previous reviews about lack of parasols but that was not the case it was actually the bases - many are broken. There are no sunbed wars but people leave their towels down by parasols early in the morning and the lifeguard opens the pool from about 9.30am. I did notice some greedy people hogging 2 or 3 parasols for 4 or 5 sunbeds - no consideration for other people at all! We also hired pool towels from reception for €10 deposit.
Can’t comment on the food as we were s/c. We did have food from poolside bar which was really lovely. The queue for the bar is a bit of a pain at times. You need tokens in exchange for cups. You get them from reception.
Entertainment was only ok. It was ok during the day. We didn’t stay for evening entertainment but one or 2 nights we came back early and the place was dead.
On our last day late checkout wasn’t available. Late flight home so we used the pool for the day. We were told we could use showers which are located by reception and they were fine however it was stifling inside so you’d be sweating after having the shower! 😂 there’s showers down by the kids club but they looked a bit grubby so didn’t use them.
The staff were all lovely the week we were there. The woman at reception the day we were leaving didn’t have a great attitude and was quite rude but you just take things like that with a pinch of salt.
Overall we had a great week here. Would I return again? Probably not. But I can see how so many people return here every year.
Location great, entertainment is awful. Bar closes 11pm with no further entertainment and tv also switched off. Sunbeds are half broken and also umbrellas. Majority of staff in bar very rude, Tokens for a cup or glass is ridiculous
