Amazing stay will definitely be back
We had such a lovely stay at H10 Casa del Mar and would definitely recommend it, especially for couples. We stayed in the superior room with a sea view. One of our favourite things about the hotel was the choice of pools. There’s a rooftop pool, an indoor pool and a really decent-sized outdoor pool, so there was always somewhere to relax. The whole hotel had a really chilled and relaxed feel, which was exactly what we wanted from our holiday. Our room was a really good size and we also had a decent-sized balcony, which was lovely to sit out on to watch the sunset and sunrise every morning and the room was cleaned every morning during ourthe stay. The food was lovely too. We only ate breakfast in the hotel one morning as we found somewhere we really liked for breakfast and ended up going there for the rest of our stay, but there was a really good variety of food available. There was plenty of entertainment on throughout the day and evening, including a kids’ mini disco, bingo and different activities in the pool. There seemed to be something for everyone, whether you wanted to join in or just relax. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough for us, which definitely made the stay even better. The location was also perfect. There’s a supermarket literally right beside the hotel which was cheap and cheerful and had pretty much all the basics you could need. The hotel is also only about a 5-minute walk from the strip, with loads of bars and restaurants nearby and even with the hotel being so close to the strip every night in the hotel wasn’t noisy at all . The only small downside was that we did notice the odd few ants in our room, but it was nothing we couldn’t sort ourselves and it didn’t really bother us or affect our stay. Overall, we absolutely loved our time here. It felt really safe, relaxed and was a great place for a couples holiday. We would 100% recommend it and will definitely be back!
Mould in the bedroom
Poor service from some of the staff and a good chunk of the hotel needs major maintenance. We are currently here and have tried to bring up some issues with two of our rooms. Today we have successfully gotten one room change due to mould spores in the ceiling and water damage. Second day of our arrival and maintenance requested access to our son’s room which we thought was odd as the boys had not requested anything. The maintenance cut a hole in the ceiling leaving it bare. To be told “they would be back to fix it”. They did the following day. The hole was due to a water leak they were told. The following day maintenance came back and filled the hole and painted the ceiling and dripped paint all over their stuff. Yesterday evening our sons asked us to check it out As it looked odd. We were horrified when we walked in. There was mould spores all over the ceiling (photo attached) we immediately went to the desk and told the evening staff and showed them. The little guy could not have cared one bit but the other staff took the details and said management would speak to us in the morning. At 11:45 am no one had contacted us so we went to the desk and no one had been given the info of the issue so we explained again what had happened and showed the photos. The lady was horrified again as it bad and said she would show the maintenance and get them to sort it. To which we said no it’s mould and no way. She agreed to a room change and we requested a meeting with the manger of the hotel. We were told the room would be ready at 2 pm and we had to clear their room which we did. I made the point that no one from our family had raised an issue with them on the second day of any water leak so they had known there was an issue with this and the mould and had put two young males in a room that was no habitable. I asked for the log and why maintenance had gone there and she said she said it was all sorted. We went round and round, I asked for the manager and was told I could speak to them in person tomorrow (Tuesday) the boys did get moved at 2pm but the service and communication is awful for a “4* hotel”. I raised this and shows photos and she said “you are not in a deluxe room you are standard” to which I responded as the hotel is supposed to be 4* but is definitely not. Photos of missing tiles from the pool, tatty dead decor, damaged and dirty skirting board in our bathroom and to add two of our balcony looks onto the bins so no one would ever want to sit there. Again photos attached. Yes the front of the hotel is pretty and has a great view but it is a front for a very tired and tatty older part. I will try to speak to the manager again as we have 4 rooms and 8 guests

Excellent!
Lovely hotel. The staff are so pleasant and helpful. The decor is modern and stylish. We stayed in a Corner Room and were able to experience the Total Solar Eclipse from our huge wrap-around balcony. Thank you H10 Casa Del Mar. We had an unforgettable stay! :-)

Very disappointing stay – our experience matched concerns raised in previous reviews
We stayed at H10 Casa del Mar in Santa Ponsa for 5 nights with my daughter, and unfortunately this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we have had. We booked half board, expecting to be able to enjoy breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Unfortunately, after eating at the hotel, both my daughter and I suffered from vomiting and diarrhoea. We became so uncomfortable with the food that during our 5-night stay we only ate breakfast once and dinner twice. We had to buy food elsewhere for the remainder of our stay, despite having paid for half board. The restaurant service was also extremely disappointing. Our plates were regularly left uncleared, we weren't asked if we wanted drinks and we felt completely ignored, while other guests appeared to receive much more attentive service. It left us feeling very uncomfortable and, at times, as though we were being treated differently from other guests. Then we had a serious problem with our room. The shower was leaking water into the bedroom, leaving the floor extremely wet and slippery. My daughter slipped on the wet floor and hurt herself. A maintenance member of staff came to our room and we were eventually moved to another room. I have photographic evidence of the maintenance issue. Unfortunately, things got even worse when I realised I had accidentally left a pair of trainers in our original room after we were moved. I contacted reception and asked for them to be located. Nothing was handed into lost property. I subsequently corresponded directly with the hotel's Reception Manager about the missing trainers. The hotel has now confirmed to me in writing that they reviewed their CCTV and room access logs and that they have records of entries into the room, but they cannot establish what happened to my trainers. They have also confirmed that they cannot provide me with the CCTV or access-log details. To be absolutely clear, I know that I left the trainers in the room and I do not have them. They have never been recovered. Before booking this hotel, I had read previous reviews and noticed other guests raising concerns that made me uncomfortable. Unfortunately, after our own experience, I can understand why those concerns have been raised. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering staying here reads the more critical reviews carefully and makes their own decision. We have now made a formal complaint to On the Beach, who are investigating the issues with the hotel. For us, the combination of illness, being unable to properly use the half-board package we paid for, poor restaurant service, an unsafe leaking room which resulted in my daughter slipping, and my belongings subsequently going missing made this a very stressful holiday rather than the relaxing family break we had expected. I would not return to this hotel based on our experience. Staff are not friendly either, you have maybe 2/3 members that were ok that speaks volumes!

Rooftop looks amazing
I'm visiting with my daughter and am here at the mo for the solar eclipse as she was desperate to see full totality. I really like H10 hotels. The last one we stayed at was new and well behaved children were allowed on the rooftop which as a parent who has no choice but to holiday just me and my daughter was wonderful. This hotel is an adults only rooftop which means I cannot use it as always with my daughter (but had a sneaky peak and looks amazing). I knew this when I booked but do miss having the opportunity. We have a sea view balcony riom which are gorgeous so still have a great view The main pool is ok. It is currently very busy but the times we've wanted to use the pools we can find a lounger even if in the shade which we prefer. If you are a sun worshipper though people begin placing their towels before breakfast. I saw lots of balls and ball games, noodles and inflatables in the pool so took a small inflatable ring in and got told off much to the huge embarrassment of my daughter. Apparently only the mesh style inflatables are acceptable so be warned! Totally my fault for not checking but wish I'd known this before. For those with mobility issues, if you do need a scooter the lifts are quite small. I'm currently here with my parents, and they have a small lightweight scooter which only just fits. Staff here are absolutely lovely and go above and beyond which I think along with the location totally makes this hotel. Would I come back? If visiting as a couple then yes, but I'll probably wait a few years to visit a H10 until my daughter is old enough to use the rooftop again with me.
