J.s.colom hotel

Just came back from j so colom Hotel was lovely and clean .our room was cleaned every day .only wished we had a kettle in room . It was too quite for me .out side hotel wasn't anything to do. The pool I was disappointed with as the water was very cold .and I couldn't get in some people did go in The larger pool was warmer But could never get a su nlounger there And only went 2 times in ten days stay The beach was lovely just a short walk The closest shop was a spa supermarket 2 gift shops the bars and restaurants were quite as well except for when football was on . I felt that this wasn't for me so unfortunately I wouldn't go again .

Amazing chilled holiday

Had a wonderful time here, an extremely chilled and relaxing hotel. All the staff are amazing very friendly and happy. A lot of guests I chatted to are regulars and I will become one too. For adults you cannot go wrong.

Food was spot on, not a massive choice but it was quality not quantity. A good selection of veg and gluten free options aswell.

The local marina is very quiet and not touristy, but a picturesque Spanish harbour with a few restaurants.

The nearest beach marcel is only five mins walk away but I recommend travelling a little further to cala brafi a stunning unspoilt cove.

Thank you JS Cape Colom for a top break away

My 3rd and best visit yet

Just returned from my third stay at the Js Cape Colom hotel in the beautiful resort of Porto Colom and quite possibly my best yet. As I've said in my previous reviews, don't be fooled by the 3-star rating, this hotel is way more than that. Room was clean and comfortable and towels / bedding changed daily. Had a lovely large balcony on the first floor. I again went all-inclusive and the food served whether it be breakfast, lunch or evening meal is so fresh with a vast choice. Drinks are cold and refreshing and always served with a smile from staff there. Hotel was busy but there was still plenty of space in the vast grounds that the hotel occupies so plenty of sun-loungers and chairs available in the glorious Balearic sunshine or in the shade, the resort is so peaceful and quiet as well, perfect for a relaxing getaway holiday

If you need a further recommendation of how good the hotel is, many of guests during my stay were like myself, regular returnees. And as always, I am already looking forward to booking-up for my 4th visit next year in 2027. Best wishes to you all

A wonderful weekend stay!

My friend and I recently stayed at JS Cape Colom for 4 nights. We booked last minute but I had taken some time to read the reviews before we left. We took the advice from another reviewer and booked a private transfer. This was 150€ return and we’d highly recommended doing this as it took around 50 minutes. Before we left I emailed the hotel asking if we could have our room as a twin and said how much we were looking forward to our stay. I had a friendly response saying they would do their best. On arrival at the hotel (12.20pm) we were told our room was ready and that we had been upgraded to a sea view room which had a larger balcony with loungers. We were delighted with this! The views at this hotel are absolutely stunning and to wake up to it from our balcony was a lovely treat!

I have put together a list of pros and cons. The cons are a bit nit picky but hopefully give a rounded picture.

Pros:

Views - We never tired of looking out at the sea, coves and watching the boats go by. The hotel has seats and loungers perfectly positioned to do plenty of this!

Food - I’d read the food was good but I wasn’t getting my hopes up. It’s a small buffet area but don’t let that fool you. You’d be hard pushed to not find something you liked. Everything was well presented, clean and hot dishes were hot! From the fresh bread, salads, fruit and live cooking stations, we couldn’t fault it! The restaurant was kept clean and servers were friendly and cleared plates and tables efficiently. The drinks were self service for all inclusive guests, which we really liked. There are water filling stations that were great to fill up bottles. We had an 8am transfer home. Due to this, we were allowed into breakfast 30 minutes early which was much appreciated! Just ask at reception.

Cleanliness - From the restaurant, bar, communal areas, toilets and bedrooms, the hotel is very clean. Even the poolside toilets!

Loungers - There were no lounger wars for us! Unless you want a particular lounger, and someone gets there first, you will always find one. We opted to sunbathe by the larger pool to allow us a quick cool down. The loungers weren’t the most comfortable loungers I’ve had but they were fine. You can get a pool towel from reception for a refundable 10€ plus 1€ per day which isn’t refundable. This allows you to change it every day!

Cons:

Rooms - As other people have mentioned, the rooms are dated. However, as I’ve said already, they are very clean. My only gripe was the shower sometimes went from cold to hot but only for short bursts. I also can’t stand shower curtains but it wasn’t a big issue.

Entertainment - There is entertainment 3 nights a week (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday). Due to us only staying Friday to Monday we only managed to see one of them. He was a good singer and it was well received. Maybe more of this would be good or music played around the bar area. Not a deal breaker for us. However, there are board games etc that you can borrow from reception.

Smoking - My friend and I are non smokers so this is a personal point. We felt there should be a smoking area or clear signs to indicate the pool is a non smoking area. There were many people who chose to light up and smoke on their loungers by our pool and we shouldn’t have to be the ones to move each time this happens. Maybe the rules are different and we’re just not used to it being acceptable.

Pool - We loved a swim in the pool but feel it could do with a clean around the edges of the tiles and for the leaves to be cleared. I recognise this may be a never ending job as there are so many trees nearby!

So, would we return? Absolutely! It was an excellent holiday and this was mostly down to this hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
