I had a massage and facial with Luisa Torrents as my therapist in the spa at the hotel and it was one of the best i have ever had. I felt so relaxed and Luisa was absolutely lovely would highly recommend going there if you are staying at this hotel. Thank you Luisa. Xxx
This wasn't the holiday i had expected when i booked. Reading the reviews i didn't expect full luxury but the hotel felt more 3 star and i felt i paid way too much for what we received. The transfer from the hotel was 50 minutes in a private taxi. The pools were good even though the decking needs renewing. There's quite a few pools and we as a family of 4 never struggled to get a sunbed even at 11/12 at the main pool. The kids pool was great and my little ones loved the slides. The kids club was nice, we did have to go everyday at 2pm to get a stamp so the kids could get a medal and certificate but this was fine as we were able to have our lunch at this time. The drinks were great i especially loved the caramel frappes but they had none available after a couple of days which was disappointing. The food wasn't the best but not the worse. Breakfast was the best and lunch we quickly decided would not be at the buffet as my kids didn't have enough options. The hot dogs/burgers and slushies were great. My only annoyance was my kids chose ice creams from the freezer and once they were open we were told that the ones they chose were from the paid freezer which should of been locked and had been locked every other day. I did agree to pay but i do feel as it was their fault the hotel should of just accepted that. Dinner was hit or miss, my kids only ate pasta which was very repetitive.Chicken nuggets were only available once. We had a standard room and it was a very nice size and we had no complaints about the bathroom although the sink was constantly blocked but luckily there was 2. The air con in our bedroom was terrible. We did call reception and they did send someone to sort the air con in the living space out but the bedroom i was told this was the best it would be. So they recommended a fan as a solution. I stayed awake for 2 hours and the fan never arrived. We called again the next morning and again it never came so my husband said he would collect it himself and they refused saying they will drop it off. Once again no fan arrived so i went to reception and was again assured it would come as i had stated my son was getting heat rashes and was up through the night itching. The fan never arrived! This really ruined our experience and cemented for me that i would never stay here again!
Lovely hotel, clean and spacious and in a great location. We had a super time with our young family throughout our stay. The food was delicious and plenty of it. Kitchen staff and waitresses/waiters work hard and are very polite. Rooms are spacious, well maintained and cleaned daily. Big shout out to the reception staff who were very helpful and proffesional. Entertainment team were engaging, fun and kind. We would be happy to go back in the future.
Zafiro Bahía is a stunningly beautiful family hotel where children have a wonderful time and are very happy. The staff are service-minded, the place is clean and tidy, and the breakfast is fantastic. Mallorca—with its 0.9 million residents and 13.5 million tourists—struggles with greywater management; there can be a bit of an odor at night or in the morning, though hopefully the tourist tax (which is a perfectly fair fee) is being used to address this. If you turn left upon leaving the hotel, you will find a well-laid-out path at the end of the street, next to a garage complex; it runs between the road and the beach. The air is fresh and pleasantly cool here—perfect for a morning jog. The entrance is blocked by a chain to prevent cyclists from using the path; it is signposted as a no-dog zone and is intended as a walking path for pedestrians. The on-site ATM charges very, very high fees and offers poor exchange rates. If you plan to buy anything on the lovely beach from vendors—such as a sunbed with an umbrella, fruit, a blanket, sunglasses, a massage, etc.—payment is in cash, so it pays to bring Euros with you before arriving at the hotel. All the shops outside the hotel (convenience stores, eateries, pubs, etc.) are owned by the hotels and charge "hotel prices," even in the area immediately outside the hotel grounds. Bus 324 runs to Alcudia and takes about 30 minutes. You can pay by credit card (Santander is accepted, for instance, though some other cards can be finicky—it’s a good idea to carry 2–3 different cards); you simply tap for the number of adult passengers and tap once more when exiting the bus. It is possible to rent cars, ATVs, and pedal-powered quad bikes outside the hotel, and bicycles from the hotel.
We have stayed at a few different hotels on Playa de Muro beachfront, however the Zafiro Bahia tops them all.
The staff at this hotel deserve a lot of praise as they are all incredibly hard working and friendly. We witnessed deep cleaning of the outside area every morning and saw the attention to detail that goes into keeping such high levels of cleanliness. However, staff were never too busy to smile and say hello!
With two children we spent a lot of time around the pool and witnessed the diligence of the lifeguards. The children's bubble pool got busy at times but the lifeguards ensured that all rules were followed and children used the inflatable bubble correctly to ensure that no one got injured. It was clear that safety was their main priority - well done and thank you for keeping everyone safe!
The food was amazing, such a good variety that was constantly being replenished and everything was delicious. I witnessed a number of people with allergies being shown what food was suitable for them and what to avoid. Anyone with allergies would not have to worry at this hotel. The cocktails were amazing and the night time staff made sure everyone was attended to right away. Thank you so much for being so attentive.
Finally, the entertainment staff were all fantastic offering a range of activities and really engaging with guests. The children's entertainment staff were particularly engaging and quickly remembered groups of children's names all at once.
We look forward to returning to this hotel and hope to upgrade to one of the rooms with a private pool next time! Thank you so much to the amazing staff for a fabulous stay!
