This lovely hotel is located in the attractive, quiet resort of Playa de Muro. The spectacular sandy beach is just a stone's throw from the hotel and it is just 3 km to the centre's copious shops and other entertainment attractions. It is well worth paying a visit to the neighbouring nature reserve.

This hotel is suitable for cycling breaks and welcomes cyclists from all over the world. The hotel boasts facilities to support both the leisure and professional cyclist.
As a family of four, we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Viva Blue and Spa. Before I give more detail, I want to give a special mention to Anais who was amazing as a Concierge.
We stay in a Selection Room and I had many questions and several things that I needed assistance of and she helped me every single time.
The hotel itself is very clean, and the rooms were spacious and cleaned thoroughly each day.
The pools are great and there was never any issues getting any sun loungers.
The Food in the restaurants were nice and we never went without. Another Special mention to Chef Tony who was always helpful as my son has allergies - but he was always willing to help and explain which dishes were fine. - he even prepared dishes separately if we requested it.
Overall it was a really nice short stay for us as a family and we would definately return to Viva Blue and Spa. Thank you to each of the staff - especially Tony and Anais.
I came to Malloca for a solo cycling vacation Well, this resort caters to families. I felt very comfortable here as a solo adult and I was appreciative of the cycling centre for all my cycling needs.
My stay here was overall a very pleasant experience, the rooms are nice and location is excellent, however this is not somewhere to go as a couple. I understand it’s a families hotel, however there is little to no design in the hotel suited for a couple. The buffet bar is great however very small for the amount of guests. I upgraded to a pool room ( the best you can buy) but was told we weren’t entitled to the “selection club” pool which suited couples more than the crowded families one, to me this made zero sence. Overall a great families hotel, not for you and the mrs.
After deliberations for some of our earlier in the stay problems, overall we had a great holiday and the reception has been accommodating at resolving all issues, so highly suggest speaking to the manager if you have any issues and your rep.
Accommodation - we stayed in block 3 pool view one bedroom apartment. After being moved from block 1 that had no pool view in any of those rooms and manager advised room categories have now been revised to not mislead others. Apartment is huge, plenty of space for adults and 2 kids, balcony is good size. Kitchen is equipped, aircon has coped with the heat. Pool towels included for free and changed free of charge twice a week. Safe is free. Room was cleaned to a good standard, the only downside they only clean 5 days a week. Mattress is comfy but pillows are thin and the ones in the wardrobe are of a funny shape & density, so a room for improvement there. Plenty of wardrobes and storage, bathroom is great and modern. Lifts occasionally aren’t working. The inside corridors are pleasant and kept clean. It’s worth mentioning there is no water in reception after 5pm or in rooms, so if you have a late flight be prepared to bring some with you. There are jugs in the room and water stations in corridors.
Food - we were initially half board plus and it’s such a relief to have a drinks package at dinner time. Drinks are great, from Prosecco to wine to soft drinks. The only complaint is the beer, this needs looking into as it froths up and as a result beer is flat. Food was tasty, good variety. Deserts were delicious and varied. We then got upgraded to AI and the snack bar was a hit with us at lunch time. Made to order food was delicious. Icecream and cookies cafe was lovely and tasty. Drinks are nice at the main bar.
Entertainment- they could do with signposting guests to upcoming activities and where these would happen. There is no welcome morning song or music at the pool throughout the day, only when the aerobics are on, which is a shame. Kids inflatables were a hit with the kids; pool basket and football were great too. My little one enjoyed playing medal games at the kids club. Just talk to the kids club staff to make them aware of your departure time/date to avoid not getting the certificate and medal. The evening entertainment was fantastic!
Pools- good size pools, however it would have been better if one side was deeper as majority is 1m depth. The kids inflatables and the slides are incredible kept kids entertained. The lifeguard is attentive when it comes to first aid but not so attentive when it comes to adults getting on inflatables and causing injuries to little kids. The rules weren’t being obeyed and there was no telling off from the lifeguards. Pools were a good temperature too for the hot weather. Spa pool facilities are included, although whenever we visited the saunas were off and no one on reception to ask to switch them on, including jacuzzi. This hotel is good for kids that can enjoy the splash on their own, but may be not so much for toddlers as their pool was tiny hot tub size and looked murky. The selection pool looked nice too.
The grounds are beautifully landscaped and well kept. The hotel has multiple entrances, making it easier to nip out. The shop onsite was actually cheaper than the Spar and well stocked. The beach is 10 min away with showers and toilets. Recommend wondering to the pier at sun rise, it’s spectacular!
Upon check out were given a room to get ready, but there are also showers at the spa for those with a late flight. For anyone wondering for coach transfers, it took us 4hrs from arriving into Palma to getting to the hotel (jet2 didn’t have the most optimal route but also everyone is queueing for ESS including already registered, causing huge delays), on the way back we got picked up 4hrs before the flight time, huge check in queue at jet2, leaving only an hour to explore duty free. For August visit, temperatures were mid 30s, areas are air conditioned so it’s bearable to eat and enjoy drinks. Overall, it’s a nice family hotel.
The hotel is superb! I have just left today. I travelled solo with my two daughters and I cannot recommend enough.
I booked due to the beach and it was recommended on many sites, it certainly didn’t disappoint, beautiful white fluffy sand and turquoise water you could walk out for ages!
The hotel itself- staff incredible and so friendly, I would like to say thanks to the hardworking cleaning staff and to Anais Lorezeno on selection club desk. She was so kind and friendly and she gave me good recommendations for future golf trips. Anais- Hasta Pronto.
Impeccably clean, nice restaurant with great food. This is one hotel I will certainly return to.
Gracias!
